Galaxy S6 :: Can Resolution Of Phone Be Changed From QHD Down To 1080p
Apr 8, 2015
Any way to change the resolution of the S6 from QHD down to 1080p. I've found the Nomone Resolution Changer, but I was wondering if there was a more trustworthy way about getting the resolution to get to 1080p.
I was deleting some apps on my phone this morning (don't remember which ones) and I must have deleted one I needed because since then all of screens are not set up the way I set them up. It kept/keep asking me to use Touch Wiz Easy Home when I press the home button. All the widgets are bigger and all my apps are in the additional area. How do I get my screens back? I am in the process of backing everything up in case I do any type of reset. How do I back up my text messages outside of screen shots and emailing them to myself?
I have a flashed a rom that I think did not work for my model ( Now my phone says model number is SM-G925K) and I have no more signal. I believe the model number is the issue, but I'm not sure..
t was supposed to be a SM-G920W8.
How I can reverse it back?
This is the rom that I tried to install : [URL] ...
Somehow my phone changed the date of my taken pictures and whatsapp pictures saved on the SDcard. I dont know why or how that happened.
See the picture below/attached.
What is the best way to correct the dates? It would take a lot of time to change every single picture since there are around 150 pictures to be changed individually. Is this maybe a mistake of the media cache??
I tried playing a sample in my galaxy s2 that i just got. I was surprised to see that there was no audio on it. The video is awsome. There is no audio on speaker or on headset or with a 5.1 head set. get the audio on hd files.
Did I miss the memo that says deleting lo-res photos will somehow not allow one to open the hi-res versions? I have the 1520 connected to my Windows 7 PC (via USB) and wanted to keep the hi-res versions only, so I deleted the lo-res ones. The hi-res files still appear as physical files in file explorer with multiple megabytes but no preview/ thumbnail (same as before). I can't transfer them to an empty folder on my Desktop or to Imgur, nothing happens, not even an explanation. I checked my recycle bin and the lo-res files are no where to be found.
I noticed that sometimes when an app is loading after selecting it from the app store, the icon is very high res when it has the loading bar. After the app loads and installs, the icon makes a noticable shift to a low res version. It is definitely not because the icon is grayed out, you can visibly see the switch from high res to low res.Anyone know how to fix this?No idea why an icon would show in high res then switch for no reason.
Have tried to change s6's resolution to 1080p or even 720p? From some reading i did, there seems to be a significant performance boost and a negligible battery improvement. ON S6 5.1.1 ...
After updating to Android 4.2.2, the HTC's camera interface changed. I can no longer change resolution, it's "stuck" to 2048x1158 (700-900 kB) and there's no menu option to change it!
Before upgrade I could adjust resolution and get much sharper pics (2 to 3 MB) on 16:9 format. Searched all forums but no info.
Just switched from Note 4 to S6. So problem is i have some great high-res wallpapers and when i set it as wallpaper it's not showing in high quality, I didn't had that problem on Note.
When i look at the same image in gallery it's stunning, but when it's set up as a wallpaper its not that sharp as it should be. Same probelm in TW and in Nova Launcher.
This is how it looks in gallery. Sharp and no problems. [URL] .....
This is how it looks as wallpaper, blurred and not sharp. Notice red eye sharpness. Not that visible on PC but problem is there. [URL] ....
I have a samsung galaxy s5. My camera has very many resolution settings. I like taking photos in maximum resolution. But when I try to send the messages through a text message, sometimes I have difficulty with the size. So I have been taking pictures with a reduced resolution set at 2 gigabytes. How can I reduce resolution after I take a photo before I send it.
I was recently noticing some differences in the pictures saved in the stock S6 Gallery app and those backed up in the Google Photos app. Even though I have the Photos app set to upload "full size"... there is a noticeable difference when it comes to clarity and ability to zoom. Is there a fix that I am simply overlooking? Because it's not even close to be honest.
I've done a good deal of testing with the 1020. Shown is a resolution test with the 1020 in DNG mode. I judge the resolution at 100 LP/mm ( 35mm equivalent ). For comparison, my 14MP Sigma only makes it to about 50. My friends 20MP Canon earns about 65. 35mm color print film maxes out at about 85 and Tech Pan, 120. I use my 1020 in JEPG mode which yields about 90 but is considerably faster and less noisy than DNG mode. All these tests are " apples to apples ". In other words, the test chart fits the frame on all devices.
I still have not figured out what is the most efficient way to transfer the highly resoluted pictures taken with my Lumia 1520 to my Surface Pro.
Inarguably, I've adjusted the settings on my Lumia 1520 to save both a 5MP and a highly resoluted picture. Also, the automatic OneDrive upload is enabled. However, the pictures on OneDrive seem not to be the highly resoluted ones. There are files to be found with something like "_high" on my Lumia 1520 but transferring them manually is painstaking as they are among many other different files (e.g. thumbnails).
Yesterday was my first day with my new S6 and still assessing either to keep or not cause of the battery concerns. But today seems to be better with some adjustments...but still fiddling around.
But last night I left it charging over night and noticed this morning the phone was pretty hot and the wallpaper changed by itself. I wasn't using the OEM quick charger but my older regular charger. Any comments?
Also...if I have weak 4G signal and connected to a wifi...is it better to turn off the "Mobile Data" which turns the 4G off too?
My new S5 keeps getting its display time out value reset to a value of "()", there is no numeric value between the parenthesis. I switch it back to 15 or 30 and seemingly randomly it gets changed. It happened just now after plugging it in to a charger.
Is there some way to see what changes it? Its getting super annoying, happens 2-3 times a day. I run very few apps... and most of those I ran on my old thunderbolt with no issues. Several I also run on my wifes new S5 but she has no problem with hers.
I just purchased my first ever samsung phone the other day and I notice the text message notification icon looks 100% identical to the email notification icon. This is extremely annoying to me, can that be changed? I'd prefer to be able to tell those apart when glancing at notifications.
edit: using nova launcher atm but can't seem to find a setting to change this in nova or touchwiz.
I always have my phone (S5) with me, about 5 minutes ago I've unlocked and saw a weird pixelated picture with a woman.. I don't have the picture in the gallery.
On the Galaxy S5 i had wallpapers from tripadvisor, with new pictures from all over the world, it auto changed the wallpaper every three hours or so. (You could change the interval).
So I woke up this morning and noticed the Google search widget had changed itself from a smoke colored transparent look to a solid white look. I've done nothing that would alter this and I don't even think it can be changed by the user.Did it update itself and this is part of the update?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and I changed the font in the system settings. When I first opened the Facebook app it showed the correct font I chose but then once I closed out and went in a second time the font is the normal font. Everything else on my phone shows the "Rosemary" font except Facebook. I called Samsung and they told me it had to be an issue with Facebook but yet 5 of my friends that have an S5 don't have any problems!
