I want to change my lockscreen effect,so i changed the lock type to swipe so the lock screen effect appears but it appeared to be locked (shaded in grey).. so what should i do to unlock it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my S5 today, upgraded from my three and half year old S2 Skyrocket, However, it seems to have some weird default "unlock effect" where these stupid bubbles of colors appear wherever you touch or swipe on the lockscreen. I've searched around for how to get rid of it, but everything I've found says go to the Lock Screen settings menu and change the "unlock effect." But the lock screen settings menu on my phone doesn't have that option. I tried searching in the settings for "unlock effect" and it comes up with a result, but when I click it, it just takes me to the lock screen settings--which as I said has no option for unlock effects.Did they remove the ability to change/remove the lockscreen effect in 5.0 or am I just completely missing something?

I marked yes but now do not like the information on the lockscreen, plus it removes some information I do want on the screen (for example the pedometer). The only options I get are up to five minutes and down to thirty seconds. Setting up my phone for the first time, I'm trying to download a lot of music in Groove. This'll take all night, so I wanted to leave it plugged in, unlocked and downloading.
I did this on my L930 with Win10 on it... But the XL is now showing "Never"
Anyway to turn off the lockscreen timeout, so I can let Groove do a lot of music downloads?
I recently update a xperia Neo to ICS and I like to change the camera launcher button of the lockscreen. I need the silent/bibrator button at the lockscreen because the camera launcher it's most useless. It's essential to have a quick silent button for me.I search at settings/security/lockscreen but I don't see any option like change launcher aplication.

I've noticed since the GDR3 update that i'm no longer able to update my lockscreen wallpaper photo. If I select Twitter, Facebook or Bing as the lock screen it changes over fine, but in Photo it always defaults that the Yellow Car photo no matter what photo I choose.

I absolutely hate it its hard to explain but example: Scrolling up and down through settings or a website, its not lag its when you scroll really fast it has a jumpy affect or effect where it will scroll the opposite direction. It does not happen on other phones running lollipop except the Xperia Z2 I had.

The parallax effect on the desktop isn't working anymore; normally the icons on the desktop are moving in 3D effect but since the upgrade this is turned off. You can try to turn it on but even that doesn't make sense.
I did contact samsung about it and they said that this must be a lollipop issue. Update the lollipop 5.1.1 to solve this problem. Even after a factory reset the problem will not be gone but show up again after a while.
I updated my firmware this morning and gave the phone to my son so he can play with it, and he dropped it...
It wasn't a big deal, it fell maybe 2 feet into a carpet. But the thing is, the background was still, there is no more parallax effect, even after reboot, and i've notice this right now at night.
Recently got galaxy s6. I am facing one issue, my front camera lags in no effect mode especially in low light. As soon as i click wkde mode lag goes away. With 3rd party app front camera is not lagging.

Basically i was amazed with how good my battery life was initially. I think on my second full charge i managed 8h30mins screen on time and probably averaged somewhere between 7hours - 8h30mins for the fist few days (needless to say i made tweaks to achieve those results as i always do when i buy a new phone)
I have since disabled anther 2 or 3 apps and i have also turned off location and used black themed wallpapers purely just to test if i could get even further from the battery! However the opposite has happened! Suddenly iam doing well if i make it to 5h30mins
I know that may not seem bad .......... but its not great considering the amount of tweaks i have made and i am at a loss to understand how i was getting 7-8 hours screen on time for the first few days/week!
Iam wondering if i could have disabled an app that could be behind this?
When i viewed my battery usage before i would often see chrome, facebook etc using a little battery where as now its screen, android system, android os, cell standby, device idle etc and recently peoplestripe is appearing as using 1%...

I have read that it doesn't work at all on 5.1.1 but all so there has been an update that makes it work. It definitely isn't working on my s6 edge.

Says to go to setting>lock screen>unlock effect...Problem is that unlock effect is not there! I'm on AT&T and my friend is on Sprint and she has it in her settings. When viewing photos, videos, websites, etc. my phone used to smoothly rotate the screen from portrait to landscape view (and vice versa) as a single "window". So as I'd tilt the phone and whatever I was viewing would remain on the screen and rotate with the phone. All smartphones have this effect so I hope I'm explaining it clearly. Now it doesn't have that rotating effect any more. I can still view things in portrait and landscape, but instead of rotating with the phone as I tilt it, whatever I'm looking at on the screen disappears from one view and reappears in the other. Although the functionality is still there, the look and feel and overall experience is diminished.
I've checked the settings and screen rotation is turned off. I've turned it on and off while rotating the screen and the problem remains. I've powered down my phone and removed the battery a bunch of times and nothing's changed. I even reset the phone in safe mode and that didn't work either. Is there another setting that turns this effect on and off? This problem just appeared out of the blue the other day.

Since I have updated my Samsung s5 operating system to lollipop it seem that whenever I play music I don't get the music widget on the lock screen. The only way I can change the track is by using the air view feature.

I go to settings and then hit fingerprint unlock, it works fine until I try to unlock the phone, it doesn't prompt me to do the fingerprint swipe over the home button... It just lets me swipe the screen and get into the phone... It only works when I swipe the lock icon from the bottom of the screen, it doesn't do it automatically...
