Dec 30, 2014Will Lollipop add a lockscreen preview for Hangouts messages? I thought it did for Nexus devices, but I wasn't sure if Samsung was going to add it in.

Aug 16, 2015I'm a returning Android user and I recently got the Galaxy s5 and I'm having a problem with the fingerprint scanner unlock for the lockscreen. I go to settings and then hit fingerprint unlock, it works fine until I try to unlock the phone, it doesn't prompt me to do the fingerprint swipe over the home button... It just lets me swipe the screen and get into the phone... It only works when I swipe the lock icon from the bottom of the screen, it doesn't do it automatically...

Apr 26, 2015I just got my S6 (SM-920FD) however the status bar on lockscreen seems to be white instead of the wallpaper being shown.
It looks like the wallpaper is not extended upto status bar. I also noticed this issue on some apps (which works perfectly on my other devices), its only S6 having this issue.

Feb 11, 2016I have been searching for solution to this issue since a long time, still no luck.. There is this ugly dark filter on lockscreen which ruins the beauty of the wallpaper, which of course can be removed by rooting and installing xposed modules (bright lockscreen). But unfortunately Xposed is not that stable on Samsung roms and i don't want to go through all those bootloops.

Oct 1, 2015Google hangouts not updating their conversations properly? Messages I send don't show up in the chat unless I exit the conversation and then go back in. What gives? Is this something with hangouts or the s6? Like maybe the ram management thing?
And while we're in it, is it me or did the Google keyboard get noticeably worse too? Auto correct isn't as accurate or reliable anymore. I also notice they've removed the aggressive auto correct feature.
Galaxy S5 :: Fullscreen Pop Up Ads When Closing Hangouts
May 28, 2014So i have been using a Galaxy S5 for about a month now... I noticed i was getting fullscreen pop ups and i though it was some downloaded apps and i removed them. But I am still getting them and i noticed it was only when I backout completely out of hangouts messaging app. If i press home or switch to another app I dont see the add. It has a grey background and the letter "i" on bottom left corner where i can press and it displays "ads by google".
I have scanned with Lookout, App brain and some other popular ad detector tools and nothing pops up so my guess is some setting on the phone that i might be opting out of something. Or maybe i turned off bloatware that is causing me this. My wife has the same phone and uses hangouts and its not getting the pop ups.

Also I would prefer it have an option for multiple fingerprints, but it is not needed. Also, I would like if I could have widgets on there for free.

Nov 28, 2015Firstly, on the clock on the lock screen, when i press the homebutton its like the time isn't up to date. It will change in a split second to the latest time. Why does this happen?
Also when using whatsapp, when the device is locked and i go back into a conversation when whatsapp opens its like the keyboard vanishes and i just see a black box where the keyboard should be. After a couple of seconds, the keyboard appears.
Ive made no changes and dont see any reason why i need to make any tweaks but this is rather annoying. I didnt experience this on using the HTC and quickly frankly im tempted to go back.

Mar 17, 2015Whenever I get a notification that wakes up my lockscreen, usually a text message or snapchat, the screen stays awake until I lock it manually. Very annoying as the screen can be on for an hour straight since I'm in class and it completely drains the battery. Can't use wakelock since I don't want to root my phone, and I've already tried clearing cache partition.

Sep 8, 2014I started using Hangouts again for SMS on my Verizon S5 and quickly remembered why I had stopped in the first place. I cannot seem to turn off the Hangouts app vibrations for new texts. See, I use Light Flow for all my notifications, and I have it set up to vibrate twice when I get a new text message. Light Flow is working fine, but the problem is that there is always a third, longer vibration immediately before the Light Flow ones. I assume it's coming from the Hangouts app itself but I've poured through every setting, turned off vibrate everywhere I've seen it, and yet the single, long vibrate persists. I've even gone through all the main phone settings to no avail. I'm also relatively certain that Light Flow isn't the issue; when I disable that app, I still get the single, long vibration from Hangouts.
