I recently found out that I could "port foward" my xbox and did just that. I have know changed my Galaxy s5's ip address. I was wondering if there are any port numbers to forward on my phone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my S6 the week it came out, so I've had it for a decent amount of time, without any problems until last week. One day I experienced a sharp battery drain, and plugged it in my PC to charge. To my surprise it wouldn't charge! It shows that it's charging, but it wont go up in charge. The only way to charge it now is with its own fast charger. I fiddled with it a bit, (cleared cache, uninstalled apps, etc. ) and I can say the battery drain problem seems to be fixed for now. But I'm still unable to charge it up via the PC (or a laptop) USB port.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am facing a bit of an irritating problem on my samsung galaxy s6. When I go to phone -> 1-9 keyboard and use it for the letters (2=a,b,c; 3=d,e,f, etc.), I can easily find the number I need. The problem is that for most of my contacts, when I click them, a second window pops up, asking me exactly which number for this contact I'd like to dial. Now.... I don't have a second number for any of my contacts.
When I go and check them in the contacts menu, they only show one mobile number per contact. When the window thingy pops up, it always shows multiple options of the same exact number, or maybe the same number with some spacings added / removed between the digits. I am 99% sure that the problem is because of google contacts, viber, whatsapp, etc., but do not know how to fix it without removing the contact from the app.
I have a non-rooted, Galaxy S5 on AT&T which forwards any phone number not in my contacts to voicemail after one short ring sound. I have Android lollipop version 5.0 but this problems has been happening for months even under Kit Kat version 4.4.4 and 4.4.2.
I checked call rejection, interruptions, blocking, and cannot find the root cause or remediation. I am also using tasker but I cannot find anything enabled there either. AT&T insists they are not doing anything on their end.
Is there any way of getting the actual phone numbers to show when in the "Contacts" screen instead of just the contacts name. If I want to look for a phone number, it means that I have got to click on each contact name to bring up the next screen with the phone number etc on it and then click back to the contacts screen and keep doing it all through the list of contacts.
With my old HTC Desire it used to show both right at the start.
finally, with USB-2Go, I can find valid reason to upgrade from N70. good pixel camera, ability to browse files from external drive, and HDMI out. Well my question is, is the USB2Go port seperate from the HDMI out port ? If yes, does it mean I can use the N8 to browse my external drive and play video thru my HDTV ? So Nokia N8 can be my full fledged media center, radio player, camera, phone

My phone errors out when I setup the account through the phone. Koodo does not allow setting it up through a browser. They say the server I have used my 8830 on for years is not compatible with my new 9360 and that it is a Blackberry problem!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got an S6 and oddly enough, a new computer as well. The computer has USB 3.0 ports on the front panel and USB 2.0 ports on the back. I've discovered that when I plug my phone into the rear ports, the phone starts charging and Windows recognizes the phone as a storage device and opens explorer. However when I plug my phone into any of the front ports, it charges the phone but Windows does not recognize it as a storage device.
I thought USB was supposed to be universal. Shouldn't I be able to use a 3.0 port on a phone and just have it work slower if the device itself is not 3.0 compatible?
So, I've only had this phone for a month. I am not sure how this occurred or maybe it's due to the recent updates as I usually ignore the updates so I decided to update my phone. Now, it can't detect my phone. Just charges. I've done everything....download the samsung driver for my phone, download Kies and done the developer option to USB debugging..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm sure the title set off a few noob alarms Everything I've read online says USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. I recently bought a pair of Anker micro USB 3.0 cables from Amazon UK (can't post a link). When I use these to try to connect my Samsung S5 to my computers, I get mixed results.
On my desktop: plugging into a USB 3.0 port on the motherboard works fine. The USB front panel of my case is USB 2.0 only. Plugging the phone into these ports using the Anker cable results in the phone only charging, Windows does see it. These ports work fine with the phone if I use a micro USB 2.0 cable.
On my laptop, all the ports as USB 2.0. Plugging the phone into the standard ports results in the phone only charging, Linux does mount the phone. However, plug the phone into the yellow "always on" port and my phone is detected.Do I have duff cable, duff phone or there some odd incompatibility here?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use ##3424# and get the option to set Qualcomm USB Settings and enable DM + Modem + ADB. I then plug in the usb cable to the pc and it does not connect to the phone on any of the ports. Adb does not show the device or anything. If I enable MTP + ADB, then adb shows the device fine and the mtp shows the card + phone just fine. Is there something else that needs to be done to enable DM for Lollipop 5.0?

The reason I ask is because the first case I was using had a cut-out specifically for that port. But now I just switched to a different skin which doesn't. And I didn't want to cover it up if it was important..
I had my iphone in call forwarding mode but the iphone did not have the call forward icon showing at the top of the iphone. Any ideas what caused this? I missed several calls because I did not know my iphone was forwarding messages. When I turned call forwarding off, then on again, the call forward icon showed up. Was this a one time "glitch"?

I am running a stock rom on my GS6 and since yesterday, when I had to call someone I noticed that I have duplicate phone numbers for each contact, but only when I type a contact's name using the T9 function of dialer. If I go to contacts, everything is fine.
I noticed that the issue is solved after uninstalling whatsapp. When I reinstalled whatsapp from the play store, it installed version 2.12.176, but I instantly got the update for 2.12.242 which was the version I had before. The issue came back after 30 minutes of use..
