Galaxy S6 :: How To Ignore Group Text Message
Oct 19, 2015I've seen GroupXIT app mentioned on various threads but their domain seems to not be active anymore: " group xit com" and I can't find the app in google play store.
Other than specifically asking folks to leave me out of a group message, is there any other way to withdraw from a monster group text thread?
Some annoying family starting MONSTER NFL threads every damned Sunday and I know zero people in the thread and would like to take control of my inbox again.
Galaxy S6 :: Group Text Shows Only Originators Number And Not Other Group Numbers?
Nov 24, 2015GALAXY S6 MMS GROUP MESSAGE PROBLEM
When I receive a multimedia group text, the texts only show the originators number and not the other Group numbers.
This phone is a SAMSUNG GALAXY 6, using Android 5.0.2
Other suggested truning on Group Conversation or Group Messaging in the settings , but that option does not appear.
The instructions I received are below , but like I said, it did not show up on the settings.Is there a difference in the Android versions that would cause the menu to be different or the setting to located somewhere else?
1.) Go to main screen
2.) Go to messages
3.) tap MORE AT TOP RIGHT OF SCREEN
4.) SELECT Settings
5.) SELECT MORE SETTINGS
6.) SELECT MULTIMEDIA MESSAGES
7.) TURN GROUP CONVERSATION ON

BB Bold :: 9900 - Sending Group Text (Only 8 Out Of 18 Receive Message)
May 8, 2012I have a Bold 9900. Under "contacts" I have created a distribution list, mainly my baseball team so if a game is cancelled, I would like to address them all in one swoop. The problem is, only 8 out of 18 receive a text. I go to the "text message" icon, press the blackberry button on "compose text message". When it asks "To:" I select from my contact list, my baseball team.
Some of the entries on my list have an email address only while others have both. What do I have to do to successfully reach everyone on the list? Would it work better if it were only email or mobile addresses? Does it matter whether they are MTS or Rogers customers for their cell phones? Do I require to add 1+then the area code for the cell phone numbers?

Jul 16, 2015We use a paging system (text message) when we get called into work and it comes from a different number each time ex: 7777129401 the next page will be 77771291048. With my Galaxy S4 I was able to set a separate text notification for all of my groups of contacts while my default text messaging notification would be a loud siren (to wake me up in the middle of the night). This means anytime I got a "page" for work or if someone texted me and I didn't have their number in my phone the siren would go off. The only way I can figure out how to do this in the S6 is to individually go to each contact and set a custom notification and set my default to the siren. I have over 800 contacts, so this would take forever! I also used to use an app called Alirmer before I got the S4, because I did not have the capability with the Droid Bionic, but for some reason this app does not operate correctly on the S6.

Mar 18, 2015Since the Lollipop update (I know, I know...) my group text messages haven't been downloading. Sometimes I'll see the MMS trying to download but it just times out and I never see it.
But then tonight I found out that I wasn't receiving any text messages from my roommates. The individually sent texts would come through but not the group ones.
Verizon ended up having me do a hard reset and it still didn't work.
The kicker though, my roommates turned off the iMessage/turn to regular SMS on their iPhones and app future text messages started coming through.
But I wasn't getting text messages from others with Androids too. It seems to be only on group messages though.

Feb 20, 2016The last flashing process was a while back. I must have been a little rusty... Anyway, I today tried to install the 6.0.1 compatible TWRP Recovery on my Galaxy S6 920F and made several mistakes in the process using Odin 3.10.7 on my Windows PC (flashed a wrong file in AP, it was an .img and not a tar.md5). Now I'm still in the Download Mode and can't exit it at all. I tried the Home Button + Vol Up + Vol Down like 1000 times, but it still won't work. It really seems to be stuck. Odin finds the device, but when I try to re-flash the recovery the right way (at least I hope it is), it tries to establish a connection before flashing and after that it's stuck, too.
On my device the last lines are: B:2 K:2 S:2
What can I do? Is there a way to bring this device back to life?

I would like to assign all these contacts into an immediately accessible text group. I know about enabling groups under the settings tab, but selecting individuals each time is cumbersome and defeats the STAT nature of the messaging.

May 22, 2015I am new to android. Im an orderly person so I like to close everything I dont use. (I dont like that the back button doesnt close apps so I always use the menu button when I finish using something. However there are some apps that have a dedicated exit button. What bugs me is that even though I use the exit button, the thumbnails are still present in the menu. Did I change something, because I think the exit used to work properly in UC browser before? I mean if my memory serves me right the exit button seemed to bypass this problem before, so I didnt have to close the tabs in the menu. But now im just left confused.
Even if I end all active applications in the task manager, the thumbnail tabs remain in the menu. soo...is this normal?

Sep 6, 2015I just tried out car mode for the first time and when I was in the simplified interface there was no way for me to exit it... I just tried it out inside so it wasn't automatically hooking up to a cars bluetooth or anything. I believe I was supposed to pull down on the top menu thing to turn it off but I couldn't pull it down while in car mode. I ended up having to reboot my phone to get out of car mode.

I clicked the back button twice to reach my home screen.I can see that my Active applications shows that Messaging is still running?I had to "Exit" from Messaging through that.My thought was, when I hit the back button frmo the Messaging screen, it should close/exit that from the background (i.e.) it should not list in the Active Applications window?

Oct 15, 2015After activating my Ultra Power Saving mode, I was able to deactivate, however my phone then went into a similar power saving mode, grey scale screen, no apps and no option to exit the mode available on any accessible parts of the settings. Aug 18, 2010The bar on the top of the screen between the "select a profile" and the "search magnifying glass" where the notifications pop up not sure what that page is called but in this slide down screen under Text Messages I have a text message that is staying at unread. Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Does anyone else have this problem and figure out a way to refresh and get ride of it? I've tried turning the device on and off a few times but doesn't fix the issue.
