View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a Galaxy S6 Edge and it isn't vibrating when I get an email to my main inbox. It is vibrating as it should for texts and calls, but not emails. However, it is updating when I get an email to my junk email. Over the last couple days I've had a couple loaner phones (due to my provider sending the wrong phones) and the S5 I had was vibrating when I got emails but neither the S6 or S6 Edge (which I have now) would vibrate for emails. Is there some setting I need to change so I get emails to vibrate?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe volume is all the way up. It rings when a call comes in but not when I get texts. No vibrating either.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my S5, I have it all working to have vibrate work whenhn pressing back button, texting, etc...This is even with Power Saving on.
My wife's S5 has same setting, but hers does not work unless you turn you Power Saving Off. Her vibrate works on text message but not the back button?
This is the second issue I have had with my Z2 since getting it in May, the first issue was a self cracking back that Sony at first refused to repair under warranty, eventually they did.
Now, after finally deciding to use the phones waterproof feature today I am having another issue. I submersed the phone in my backyard pool (no chlorine) and recorded a snapchat message for about 10 seconds. I pulled it out, dried it off and carried on. I then went to take a photo normally about an hour later and I noticed a ton of vapour or condensation on the inside of the camera lens, great. Then about an hour and a half after that, the phone started vibrating and has not stopped since. It's been about 2 hours. It stops everynow and again for a few seconds, then it just goes off it charts again, and it is so annoying.
Yes, I turned it on and off, it just continues to vibrate. I tried to hard reset it, pushed the red button down, it just turns off, doesn't actually restart. Of course all the covers were sealed, I'm not stupid, I look after my electronics.
I factory reset my phone and during the process of signing in, agreeing to T&C's etc, a strange problem started occurring - the touchscreen became super unresponsive (had to press something three of five times for it to respond), however, at the same time, the phone would quickly vibrate on touch multiple times, but again, not actually do anything. Moreover, a weird blue text box started appearing around the options I touched and I can't swipe down to access the normal settings menu.
And to top it all off, if I long hold the power button to force restart/power off, it just won't do it. (tried the old "turn it off and on" trick to see it'll do the trick)
Everything was all normal until this point, had my phone for a couple of months, haven't dropped it or anything.
I live in Curitiba, Paraná. I've been complaining about a Sony Xperia smartphone Z3. I purchased 15 days. The same has been exposed to splashing water (shower), which is acceptable because the equipment is designed for these situations splashes and even submersion, to its limits of course, had the same problems on the 09/08/15 03: 29 am began an endless vibration, even turning off the machine vibration remained and after endless vibration, 05:00 am it stopped and did not return to vibrate, but began another breakdown, celebrates open the camera unintentionally, the which it was in this condition when I got to this point of the complaint, (5:15 am) and so far did not return open.
I believe it is a problem in sealing the camera button, as it was for him that the problem manifested itself. I now believe that if there was water into the unit, the motherboard was damaged, so need immediate replacement device, for me the device is an essential commodity. I look forward soon return Sony's what should I do in this situation, since the device has addiction but not stopped operating (for now).
My phone froze on me at the gim yesterday.I was listening to music over blue tooth, receiveing and sending mails, and using Jefit Pro.I was registering a set, when a mail came in and my phone froze! But it was still vibrating from the mail so it was still shaking in my hand.None of the buttons worked, nor a long press on the power button. I ended up doing a battery reset.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt started off when my phone would just restart once or twice a day, then it started restarting about 5 times in a row. A lot of people I asked said it could be malware, so I deleted a few of my apps that could have infected my phone, but it still kept restarting. It eventually got worse - I should mention I use two batteries for my phone - when one battery is in my phone it just shuts down and I have to remove the battery and put it back in before I turn it back on. The other battery (the original one that came with my phone) won't turn on - it'll show the first LG screen then shut down, and it just keeps doing that, unless i have it plugged into the charger. When its on the charger it will work fine, and for a few minutes after I unplug it, it will work fine, but then it will still shut down. I ended up resetting my phone to factory settings, but the problem hasn't changed.

View 7 Replies View RelatedHaving a bit of a problem with my phone, it just keeps shutting off randomly. I just came back from holiday and noticed it recently. It shuts off in random intervals, sometimes a couple of hours and sometimes 30 minutes or less. I doubt it has anything to do with the software as it was fine before i went on holiday, and now it keeps acting up.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Galaxy S6 G920I has started shutting down repetitively. I was on stock and not rooted. After it happened a few times I decided to hard reset it and delete cache but it would get stuck on starting apps screen etc. After many attempts the phone finally started the user's guide for logging in etc.
I was getting crash errors for settings and other things. It finally went in only to start shutting down again. Seeing how the apps were crashing I thought that there might be an issue with the stock ROM so I decided to flash a new one. I was having trouble finding my specific so I went for another one found here. I couldn't flash it with ODIN because it was on a zip format so I flashed TWRP on the phone.
The error recovery is not seandroid enforcing is now showing on different versions of twrp (2.8, 3.0).
I can't flash any ROM now and the one found in the device keeps shutting it down. I don't believe it is a hardware issue as the phone stays on without issues on download mode.
I've recently been experiencing on my SGS II that it shuts itself down in the night (usually at similar hours). I have also done some research in this matter and found out that this was also plaguing the previous Galaxy phone. I have the latest KWE7 update and i'm pretty sure it didn't happen before that.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having trouble with my phone a lot lately. The battery doesn't last more than 3 hours, so I just assumed I was in need of a new battery..Then tonight it suddenly shut off, and then when it restarted it shut off again and continued to do this until I took out the battery to restart it.I took out the Micro SD card, in case that's the problem. Also it only turns back on when it is plugged into a charger..

It was working fine and what happened all of a sudden? Tried to reboot remove battery, clean etc. It continues to give same error.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone was running hot, so I decided to shut it down to cool. Instead of shutting down, though, it rebooted. When it was done, I waited a minute, and tried again. Reboot. Again. Reboot. Finally, decided to try a soft reset and that seemed to fix it. This isn't the first time it decided not to shutdown and restarted instead, but first time it did it three times in a row. At least the soft reset worked. 1520 on 8.1 DP -- hoping the "official" rollout takes care of these little issues.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have shut WiFi off the the settings pane and it still shows on in the battery monitor. I don't think it is using a lot of battery (hasn't shown up) but some of the stuff in the system shows WiFi usage when it is clearly shut off.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI can't really seem to find the actual term, but the case is every time I unlock my phone the speakers seem to turn on for a moment, then shut down again, the problem is I always have the phone on vibrate, nevertheless this sound keeps appearing after doing certain actions, it's like a static noise, followed by a sound that resembles the speakers powering off. It's almost unhearable unless you pay attention, otherwise the speakers are flawless. Could fix some actions displaying it by going to settings, sound, and unticking pull-to-refresh sounds, however, the sound persists on unlocking screen.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've recently gotten the Lumia 800. Although it is fairly new - a month old - it has been giving problems: a loose screen, a battery bug (maybe?) and the phone shutting down after every charge. Firstly, I am certain that the screen is locked in place and is not able to fidgit when force is applied. Since last week, I've realised that the bottom of the screen, where the capacitive buttons are, is shaky. It is not visible, but you can literally feel the screen moving from left to right - this isn't normal, right? Secondly, ever since I updated my phone, my phone has not been able to show me the actually battery life, it only shows me a ? the screen.
