View 1 RepliesHas anyone tried to set up the Milestone with a hosted Exchange provider (specifically 4SmartPhone.net). I understand there are some limitations to Android's exchange support and would like to know what people have found out so far.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have hunted around for this answer but haven't found it.I was so excited to read about BES Express as I thought it would finally allow full sync between my exchange server and my Bold 9700.However... my server is hosted (I am a one man band!). Will BESX be able to be integrated on to a hosted exchange server? Or will it be solely and only for people with their own exchange server? Initially I thought it was just going to be software to install onto my phone but I now think it will need to be installed server side. Also, will it possibly be available do you think as a fully hosted solution, in the same way as some providers offer hosted a BES and Exchange solution? i.e. a hosted BESX and Exchange solution? I'd be really interested to know your thoughts. I was so excited and now it seems that my excitement was misplaced!

Today in the office we set up a microsoft exchange and OWA, nothing to big or fancy but we have a server etc. Now I logged into my BIS site, set up my email entering my own details and putting in our OWA details.. The email works fine, but it takes about 15 minutes for the emails to come through to the blackberry.. i thought that this was only with POP3 and if it ran off an exchange it would be near instant?

Just got a Vivaz and trying to set up the mail to work with exchange. I have defined a mailbox but every time I go back into settings like the prompt says the mail box is not there and I then have to define a new mail box, which then disappears again. I have even read the instruction book and gone through the correct steps.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to set up my corporate exchange email in my Z3, but i get a message of "you do not have permission to sync with this server....". I have no problems setting up exchange email in my Samsung or Ipad using the same credentials.
My Z3 has android version is 4.4.4.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter setting for Mail for Exchange, my Nokia E7 phone shows low memory. I checked C Memory & there are only important files & that too of small sizes. All major Applications are installed in Mass Memory only. Is "Low Memory" issue due to Mail for Exchange? If so, is it possible to transfer / change the data of Mail Exchange to Mass Memory instead of Phone Memory?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've set up several non-gmail POP email accounts using the MoPho Q's ICS built-in email app just like I had done on my MoPho 4G, but one on a GoDaddy hosted domain won't work. I enter the email info (my.name@mydomain.com), my password, the GoDaddy mail host name (pop.secureserver.net), port 110, security type NONE, and tap "Next." It thinks for a few seconds, with "Checking incoming server settings..." then comes back with "Couldn't finish:Username or password incorrect." (Server name, port, and security type are per GoDaddy directions.)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just received my S6 and loving it. Have set it all up but there is one thing i cannot get to work which i really need. I have setup my Exchange work email everything has come across email contacts and calender but when i search for a contact it does not give me the option to search my works global address book. This should also work when creating a new email and typing an email address should search as well. I have just come from a HTC M8 and use to work fine.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've just purchased an S6 G920F from Kogan. I'm coming from a GPE HTC One M8. I'm currently trying to get it setup (just on wifi, no SIM inserted yet). I really want to use GMail app for mail because don't like the built-in one, and like how GMail syncs calendars and contacts from outlook.com and Exchange servers - and I've been using it no problem for a while now.
Problem is - on the S6 when I go to add an account, I don't actually have an option for Exchange - just POP and IMAP. It seems that GMail was baked in to the ROM as I'm unable to remove it.
Need to confirm for corporate email account if the fingerprint can be use in the same manner as in the iPhone? or it gets grayed out and you have to use a password instead?
View 8 Replies View RelatedRight now we use Blackberry's at work, but when I get the iPhone 4 I would rather just use that to get my work email if I can. I know my Exchange email address (it's just user@exchange.company.com versus my normal @company.com email address) but I have a couple questions:Does Exchange allow IT depts. to lock down Exchange to approved decives/device IDs?We have to change passwords every month or so, but I never have to do anything on my Blackberry to keep getting email pushed - how does Echange handle that? Would I have to just update my password every time it changes?Just looking for experience from those who have added their work email from and Exchange server to their personal iPhone.
View 20 Replies View RelatedMy S3 had a menu button to the left of the Home key, and one of the choices offered was to sync the calendar. (I have it linked to an Exchange server). In the S6 there is no menu button next to the Home key, and while the calendar has a menu icon, there is no option to sync manually.
The only way to sync is through Options/Accounts/..., i.e. one has to leave the calendar, sync and come back.
What am I missing? How can they just drop this essential option? Even with a sync schedule one often wants to make sure everything is fully up-to-date when using the calendar.
Related question: is the Calendar program from Samsung or is it standard Android? I know Google offers a Calendar app on Play.
I just upgraded to a galaxy S6 but can't seem to get my work calendar to sync to S Planner. My work email is syncing fine to the email app but no calendar appointments are syncing apart from my Google account events.
View 13 Replies View RelatedShort and simple, got the s5 today, I am a current s3 and tab 4 owner. The s5 has 4.4.4 loaded but I can't seem to get the active sync account created. I can add them all day long on the S3 and Tab 4 which both have 4.4.2 on them. I've read that 4.4.4 has some issues?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S2 to the S5. I am loving the phone except for the syncing of the Outlook (Exchange) calendar. I use multiple calendars in Outlook (for my work), but only want one of the calendars to sync to my phone (my main calendar only - the others are group calendars that I do not need to see on my phone; however, I am the owner of each of these calendars [not sure if that is important or not]). The problem I'm having is that the S5 is grouping my calendars into one calendar. I cannot choose which calendar I would like to see/sync, so the group calendar information is overpopulating my calendar (I use the S Planner calendar that comes with the Galaxies). I really just want the one (main) calendar to sync.
I thought the issue was in the S5's on-board S Planner calendar, so I disabled that and downloaded the Google calendar app. Much to my surprise, the same thing happened. This lead me to believe that it is something in how the S5 is syncing with the Exchange calendars.
I also have a Galaxy Tab 2 running the most recent software update (I don't know what it is), and it only syncs the main Outlook (Exchange) calendar ... not all of them. This is also how it was with my S2.
I have my work email setup on my phone using their webmail address. If I use the standard address, i am required to have Maas360 installed, which is not an option with me being rooted. Anyways, if I have the email program I use, which is either Nine or Mail Wise, setup for ActiveSync, my business server will catch it and block me. So, I have to setup the email app to scan for new emails every X minutes.
The problem I am running into, is I did not know that I had to have ActiveSync turned off, so now my device is banned when using Nine mail. So, I tried the same with Mail Wise, and got banned again. Now, on my third app, AquaMail, I have realized the problem, and its working great.
However, I would prefer to use Nine mail. When trying to go back into Nine and recreate my account, i get an error that my device is blocked. I get the same error on Mail Wise. Both list a different Device ID. NineXXXXXXX and MailWiseXXXXXXXX. Is there a way to change this ID? I tried creating a new ID in Titanium Backup and that didn't change the IDs in the mail apps.
Setting up an exchange activesync account, the fingerprint scanner can still be used or android reverts to PIN/PASSWORD as is the case now with face unlock & pattern?
I know that Android by default does the latter.

This is probably a configuration issue on my end that I cannot figure out the answer to....but when I am out of WiFi range, or I turn WiFi off my email wont sync or send and I get the error "Network Not Available: The message will be sent when the network is available" As soon as I turn wifi back on , it's fine. Is their a setting that tells an email account to only sync on WiFi? Or only send when on Wifi? It seems to ignore the 4G LTE network.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI have added email account on my new Galaxy S5 with Exchange ActiveSync to connect my Exchange 2010 mailbox. It works like a charm, I can get all of my emails, I have selected which subfolders I want to synchronise with push method instead of default manual method.
My problem is that when I recevied a new email which is redirect to a subfolder on my email box, this email is also redirected in this subfolder on my phone. This is not user-friendly at all, because I have to open "View all folders/push '+' button" to see if I have a new email in a subfolder and also to open it.I have looked for a way to see in one place, the Inbox mails and all subfolders that I which to synchronise without success.
Do you know if it's possible to do that on Android ?I can't believe that all Android's people in the world are using my bad method to see emails in subfolders :-).
I'm getting the error in the stock email app when trying to create a new email using my works email address.
Security warning: there are problems with security certificate for this site.
I then click continue and get this message.
Setup could not finish : unable to open connection to server. Security error occurred.
I have checked my security updates and it's all up to date. Is this a problem on my end or is it the how the exchange is set up to screw over android users at work? I have checked for a notification while doing it by scrolling down from the top and nothing is there.
I just switched from an iphone. On my iphone, when viewing an email from my MS Exchange / Outlook or Hotmail account and I deleted that email, it would open another email. On my new S5, it goes back to the inbox. I would like it to work like it did on my old phone.I took this to the Verizon store and they didn't know how to fix it either.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using a stock S6 in the UK and received an OTA update (Vodafone, screenshot attached) two days ago. Now my work exchange email account in the Gmail app has disappeared (no sign of it, all the emails and settings disappear). I can set it up again and it receives email for a few hours but then it randomly disappears again. I have two other accounts (gmail and IMAP) and both are unaffected.

As far as I have looked for, there is no available solution: Wanam module requires xposed, which is not yet available for our S6 64 bits architecture, Alliance fwk announces the feature but it is not active,
So I decided to implement the solution based on the tutorial [URL] ....
I can't get the app working on the phone (it crashes). I suspect that zipalign is doing 32 bits alignment whereas the S6 is 64 bits. I found no indications on Android dev site..
