View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a problem with my 920F... it doesnt show any unknown wifi-networks, it only connects to known ones.
"Wifi overview 360" app finds them all, but not android stock wifi app. which systemfiles i should check? (i have root)
Kies 3 always crashes with an "Unknown Error" when trying to sync my Outlook 2007 calendar. Contacts and Tasks sync okay.
I've literally spent hours on the phone with Samsung (lack of) technical support with no resolution. They are in fact blaming Outlook claiming that this "Unknown Error" is an Outlook error and not a Kies 3 error (I doubt that). Their other suggestion is a factory reset on the phone which I don't want to do or to try another PC.
Using Windows 7 Pro, latest updates to Kies 3 and latest firmware updated today on the phone.
Love the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!
I have a new phone. AT&T couldn't add my Droid Maxx to their service, so now I have a phone, with contacts from google, but the contacts don't have any phone numbers even though on a computer I can clearly see the phone numbers. Need transferring contacts from google to galaxy s6 contacts. With out phone numbers, and phone isn't really a phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've done everything that I have read online, and everytime I go to the facebook app settings, it already shows that facebook contact is checked to not sync, yet i have about 500 extra contacts and pointless facebook emails in my phone that I don't want--nor do I want to spend 5 hours doing so to delete them.
View 2 Replies View RelatedCurrently using a Samsung S5. A new Gmail account was set up for this phone in order to sync the contacts to this new Gmail account. Previously it was synced to another Gmail account. Even though the phone said all has been synced (to the new Gmail), nothing appeared when I login to the new Gmail account contacts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedCalls from some contacts are displayed as "Unknown" when they call me. Â
When i receive calls from certain of my contacts, the display identifies these as unknown callers, despite the fact that they are known contact calling from numbers stored in my contacts. This only applies to a few of my contacts and I noticed it most recently after I had a problem disconnecting from a call with one of my contcats. Most of my contcats do display the correct caller id when they call.Â

View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since the latest update from tmobile my favorite contacts are not appearing on my edge, the tab is only there sometimes. My settings is all correct and the only way that tab will appear is if I restart my phone and or go into my settings, turn off people edge and back on then it appears again, but only for a little while. Then disappears again, same with restarting my phone. This one of the main reasons I bought this phone.
I'm running 5.1.1 with t-mobile
I can't seem to find a way to change the default behavior of the Contacts app to search only for contacts that have a phone number.
My contacts are synchronized with my Google account and since Google saves all used emails as contacts (in the "Other Contacts" group), whenever I search for a contact in the phone I get a list of all the emails that also match my search. this is so annoying.
I enabled the option "Only contacts with phones" in the settings, but that seems only to affect the contacts that are displayed in the list, search is not affected by it.
I also tried changing the "Contacts to display" option to use a customized list and selecting only the desired group (My Contacts) from my Google account, but nothing was affected except for the list itself.
Any way to change that behavior without installing a third party dialer app?
I went to use my contact list and I discovered that my name & several of my contacts had been duplicated in name only, there is nothing attached to the name, but I cannot delete them. This just happened sometime in the last couple of hours, I made no changes during this time. I have a galaxy s5. I tried shutting off the phone and restarting it thinking it may reset itself; it did not change.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA friend, with an older version of Galaxy Note, can Show only contacts with phone number on his contact list. It's seem to be impossible with my S6... Is it possible to add the trick? Or maybe I Missed something.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just switched to an android phone from an iPhone for the first time. I went to the att store where they transferred my contacts over to the S6. 2 days later I tried to install an ios emulator to download an app not available on android that I used to use. The emulator turned out to do nothing and I felt like I just installed malware so I look into restoring the phone to a previous point. To my surprise there is no option to do this but factory restore and then back up from your google account. I
do this thinking I'll be fine because I turned on the setting to back up my phone to the google account. I do the reset and discover that I only get one restore point and it doesn't mention from what time; just says "last used today". I do the restore even though its probably not far back enough to erase the damage the emulator download did and discover that I have lost all my contacts.
Whats the point of the backup if it doesn't backup the single most important thing: your contacts! Whats the point of backup if you can't restore to multiple points! Feeling really frustrated with this phone right now. Do I need to go back to ATT with my old iphone to get my contacts back again?
Every Android phone I have owned asked if I wanted to sync my Facebook contacts. I always do. S6 didn't ask..

View 3 Replies View RelatedI broke the screen on my S5 and my provider was able to get me a new phone however since my screen is broken - completely black (broken LCD) they were unable to transfer contacts, pictures, data, etc...
I am trying to back up the S5 to my PC but the software that I have been finding all needs some sort of authorization on the phone - which I am unable to do.
Is there anyway that I can save all of my data?
I'm eligible to upgrade my HTC EVO LTE and have been thinking of moving to the Samsung S5, but any size limit on notes in the Contacts app is a deal-killer. Samsung started truncating the notes field in the S3 and did the same with the S4. The limit is around 980 characters; see this discussion about the S4 for details: the notes section in a contact is limited in the s4 - xda-developers.
Be sure to try editing larger notes since it might seem like you can import large notes with a contact, but they get truncated as soon as you try to edit them in-app. I'm really hoping that Samsung fixed this in the S5 since it's a serious limitation if you keep detailed notes with your contacts, or import from something like Outlook.
