I have an AT&T S5. I also have a Google voice phone number. When people call my actual phone they get the voicemail for Google voice. How can I fix it so that when my ATT number is called they get my voicemail and when my Google voice number is called they get my voicemail for that?
View 2 RepliesI've got a Nokia 5800 phone a few days ago. I'm trying to set the voice mail number using the standard procedure described in the user's guide. My carrier's voice mail number is *9 and when I try to set it I get an "invalid number" message. I've been reading a on the internet and it seems to be that numbers starting with a * have a special meaning on GSM phones and that is why it gets rejected. Is there an alternative way to set the voice mail number on a nokia 5800 phone?

Periodically I use Google Voice on the stock keyboard to text. However I noticed when I try to exit Google Voice by clicking the "X" the application freezes and I can't exit until it times out.

Sometimes I am driving and there could be an accident and I need to try and grab my phone and put it in the phone holder in my car then navigate to google maps to find an alternate route by hand. I am wondering if I could make this easier by doing some of this with my voice. I know it is possible to search a specific place after pressing the voice icon manually after launching google maps, but is there a way so I can just put the phone in the car holder then use my voice to launch maps and say what my destination is?

Recently, I discovered that sometimes my voicemails come through several hours after the call. This does not happen all of the time, but it does happen some. It is also pretty inconvenient. I do not want to go into the app and press refresh after missing a call, just to see if I have a voicemail. I did not have this issue with my Galaxy S3 or Moto X. Also, I have the sync, notification, etc settings all good to go.

I can play anything just fine(streaming music or MP3/FLAC/WAV files stored on the phone).When I'm listening to the car stereo itself(CD, FM/AM, etc), I usually leave the phone plugged in. If I want to use Google Maps voice navigation, I'll have to physically disconnect the 3.5m audio cable if I want to hear the voice navigation on my phone. (again, this is when I'm only playing a CD on the car stereo)Is there a way to get around this so that I don't have to plug/unplug in the aux input cable all the time?

I just recently changed my security from a Pattern to a Pin. The only problem is now I can't enter my unlock PIN with the google voice keyboard. I said the numbers followed by "enter" and "return" or the numbers by themselves but it didn't work.

When I call someone else using the native dialer using GV to make the call with advanced calling I do not get the HD icon, but the Camera buttons can be pressed for the video call, but when I do it says "the other person can not accept video calls at this time".
The other person's G4 Camera buttons are grayed out. When I dial the same person not using my GV number everything works the way Advanced calling should, I get the HD voice Icon and we can do a video call. How to get Advanced calling to work with GV on Verizon?
Got my nice new nexus 5 and its 3 weeks old and I must say its soooo damn good to not have all the stuff put on to other android phones. This phone is simple and uncluttered, love it.
Just one little niggle. When in settings then into "about phone" and then into "status", it shows your phone number. Can some one tell me why its not my phone number. Did not think much of it until I started filling out info on my google stuff and it auto entered some info incuding the phone number, which was of course, wrong.
Simple questions really.
1. where has this number come from.
2. why is it not my number.
3. how do i change it.
I use Google Voice via the Hangouts app as a secondary phone line on my Droid Turbo.
The issue I am having is with phone calls that come in to my Google Voice number. Instead of using only the Hangouts Dialer app to receive those calls, the calls seem to come through Hangouts AND the default DT dialer app at the same time! What ends up happening is that first, the Hangouts app starts to ring, then (second) the default DT dialer app start up and rings over the Hangouts dialer. The end result is that when I pick up the call on the DT dialer app, I always get a missed call on Hangouts. In addition, if I miss the call completely I then get a missed call notification from both Hangouts and the default dialer app.
I love stock phone dialer on our phones, but is there anyway to get a voicemail shortcut in the phone dialer at all?

Screen is awesome along with the camera, can leave my slr at home now and use the S6 for casual photos... One thing I would love to see Samsung implement is in the phone logs, I would love to see all calls from the same number grouped and the time and date of the call alongside. Its a little annoying when a umber has called you multiple times in one day and there is a logged separate entry for each call. That is my only improvement for me.

So then I tried changing it to my actual phone number, and now it won't let me. Everyone I try, it just says voicemail number has been changed, then I hit ok, but nothing actually changed. Recently when I got a new car and paired my phone up with it and switched to media it started playing all of these voice recordings that were stored in the music folder. That's how I found out that my phone was recording and saving things without me knowing it was happening. Some recordings are very short and some are close to 10 minutes long. So I have over 150 recordings in 5 months, what I am doing to make my phone record audio and save it. Is there a quick record button or something or a voice command?
