I need to change a contacts phone number on my Galaxy S6 but it won't let me delete the old number. I have to delete the contact completely and then reenter with the current phone number otherwise it continues to show both numbers. How can I delete the old number?
I have an LG VX8300 phone and have discontinued service with Verizon. Under the Contacts, #5, is "My Name Card" showing my phone number. I've tried editing and wiping out this phone number but get the message "Cannot Edit".Is there another option to clear this phone number?
Loving my new S6, battery ok for me, thought lack of SD slot would bother me but not actually missing it even though only using 32GB model. Screen is awesome along with the camera, can leave my slr at home now and use the S6 for casual photos... One thing I would love to see Samsung implement is in the phone logs, I would love to see all calls from the same number grouped and the time and date of the call alongside. Its a little annoying when a umber has called you multiple times in one day and there is a logged separate entry for each call. That is my only improvement for me.
I tried changing it from the *86 to *86# just to see what would happen, and sure enough, it worked. So then I tried changing it to my actual phone number, and now it won't let me. Everyone I try, it just says voicemail number has been changed, then I hit ok, but nothing actually changed. I tried opening the dialer, going to settings, voicemail, and changing it from there, but it still didn't work
My wife just upgraded to S6, I got hand-me-down S5. Apparently Verizon guy did not change my phone as last guy did when she got S5 and I inherited S4. That time S4 became "my" phone with my phone number etc. It appears this time Verizon guy did not do that. S5 still has her phone number etc. How do I change?
At times I run my small business from my phone and I need to be able to send numbers from my call logged to my techs via text message. On my s 4 all I need to do was hold on the number in the logs and a box would pop up then I'd press send number and it would go directly to text messages app.
I have an AT&T S5. I also have a Google voice phone number. When people call my actual phone they get the voicemail for Google voice. How can I fix it so that when my ATT number is called they get my voicemail and when my Google voice number is called they get my voicemail for that?
I can't seem to find a way to change the default behavior of the Contacts app to search only for contacts that have a phone number.
My contacts are synchronized with my Google account and since Google saves all used emails as contacts (in the "Other Contacts" group), whenever I search for a contact in the phone I get a list of all the emails that also match my search. this is so annoying.
I enabled the option "Only contacts with phones" in the settings, but that seems only to affect the contacts that are displayed in the list, search is not affected by it.
I also tried changing the "Contacts to display" option to use a customized list and selecting only the desired group (My Contacts) from my Google account, but nothing was affected except for the list itself.
Any way to change that behavior without installing a third party dialer app?
Samsung has changed the settings in Galaxy S2 so it is no more possible to simply say: [Settings] > [Call settings] > [All calls] > [Show my number] > [Hide] This option does no longer exist that simple. Has anyone found out where Samsung has hidden this functionality so I can choose to hide my phone number. ?
I wonder why Samsung has chosen to make that so complicated
A friend, with an older version of Galaxy Note, can Show only contacts with phone number on his contact list. It's seem to be impossible with my S6... Is it possible to add the trick? Or maybe I Missed something.
I have a flashed a rom that I think did not work for my model ( Now my phone says model number is SM-G925K) and I have no more signal. I believe the model number is the issue, but I'm not sure..
t was supposed to be a SM-G920W8.
How I can reverse it back?
This is the rom that I tried to install : [URL] ...
My wife's S6 Edge allows multiple phone numbers and other contact info to be added. Her phone also has a plus sign on the side that allows more numbers to be added and she can assign different types such as Cell, work or home. Mine does not do this.
When calling somewhere and you need to press a 1,2,3 etc. for an extension. Mine is not working. Do you need to have to have keypad tones activated in settings for this? Any other way to do it so not to have the sound audible?
ive had the s2 now for a day and a half and when i transfered my sim card into my phone it didnt contain any numbers so im prepared to manually enter them all. however with adding my email accounts and facebook alot of my contacts have appeared but i dont want them all. ive got it to only show contacts added to my phone so i have three entries in yhe phonebook but texts and calls are picking up the names from my syncd contactsif i remove the accounts from contacts settings accounts , does this delete all the details from yhese accounts so will my email contacts be syncd and removed from my address books on my email account
When I have a missed call my notification only says "Missed Call / Wireless Caller" instead of displaying the name or phone number of the person who called even when they are in my address book. I cant seem to find a setting for this besides the "Notifications on lock screen- Show content" which I have already enabled. I also have "Show caller information" enabled in the call settings.
I typed in an incorrect website address when I first used my phone. Now the default page is set to the incorrect spelling and I cannot access the website I want.
I went to use my contact list and I discovered that my name & several of my contacts had been duplicated in name only, there is nothing attached to the name, but I cannot delete them. This just happened sometime in the last couple of hours, I made no changes during this time. I have a galaxy s5. I tried shutting off the phone and restarting it thinking it may reset itself; it did not change.
