It looks like my galaxy did an auto update for android and now when I try to do a voice text or anything that opens the microphone, the X will not close it. I have to reboot the phone to get it to go away. Anyother way to force it to close?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S5 with Lollipop through AT&T and had Best Buy install my Pioneer AVH-4100NEX. I updated the Pioneer firmware, set it up to look for Android Auto on USB2, Android Auto is set to start automatically, and I have the phone and Pioneer connected via Bluetooth. However, when I plug the micro-USB into the phone, all it does is start charging; nothing pops up saying the phone isn't compatible or anything else and I don't get the Android Auto ToS message. When I pull up the AV menu on the Pioneer, neither the USB1 nor USB2 icons are lit up. I've tried plugging the phone in with and without the Android Auto application installed. I double-checked and Best Buy did plug the USB into USB2 using the USB cable from the box. USB Debugging is enabled on the phone.

Then I open the barcode scanner again, wait for the auto-focus stuff, press Back and "click" again.
Now I open the camera app, wait for auto-focus completes, press Back and "click". This happens every time auto-focus finishs and I quit the app.
I have two Galaxy 5 phones - one downloaded and installed the AT&T update fine. The other downloaded the update, then rebooted to install, which it started to do, but five or so seconds into it, it stopped and went directly to the home page with no install. OF course, now I have to wait another 24 hours to re-try the download (and whoever came up with THAT i24-hour thing should be fired). Is there a way to just directly install what was downloaded without having to wait the half-hour or so it took to download?

Then it will take you to a phone encryption screen and the encryption reboots the phone, but then keeps looping. I do have an exchange account and our company requires to have encryption on the phone. I've had the phone just over a month and days when I'm at work all day, maybe do some surfing on my lunch or breaks, but nothing to excessive and my battery is down to like 35% when I get home. Before I was going under Settings->Battery and I noticed "Screen" was the number one offender for draining my battery. Which makes sense, it's a bright display and powering it takes a lot of juice. I try to update my android after my phone told me to update it. So after it make restart, its opening black screen with galaxy s5 on it, and its restarting again and again
I try to make boot by clicking both 3 keys, after the boot upload its again trying to install the update software security and than its still making the same problem, try to connect throw pc by odin 3 or keys and its doesn't even connecting to programs, what can I do?
When I try to access the manage applications option under settings, it shows the spinning icon stating its working and then finally the apps look like they're loaded and when I try to scroll down it is EXTREMELY slow. After scrolling for a couple of seconds, it slows down and then stops. After being frozen for about a minute,I get the infamous black popup stating: process com.android.settings has stopped unexpectedly...force close.Also, I am unable to add quick dial contacts. I can get to the screen where it show 1-9 options with Voicemail alredy being #1, but I long press the number I want to edit and then select the contact to use but when it exits back to the quick dial page the contact I just chose is not there.I have the extended battery and prior to the GB update, my battery widget was showing 4200-4230 for the mV readings. Now, it is only showing up to 4155. I put the stock battery in to check that and the same thing, it stops at 4155.

The SII works fine downloading/uploading everything/everywhere else and on any connection, it has me baffled. It has worked before as it did a couple of updates when I first bought this really great phone!

The apps are still there and working, but I can only access them when I get a new notification.I have tried rebooting several times, and clearing the Touchwiz launcher data, but nothing changes.

I have Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 version. (Firmware: 2.3.6)Not sure which app update caused it...Suddenly "Facebook" , "Twitter" and few other apps stopped and a deluge of pop-ups of Force Close appeared on my Screen. Even though I select "ForceClose"..they reappear repeatedly. I could not open the TASK Manager by pressing the Menu button. I could not even select "Power-Off" option.
Finally I had to shut-down the phone by LongPress of the power button on the right.When restarted....All my contacts are lost. I am not able to import from my SIM card and neither am I able to create new contacts.When try to save a contact..."Unable to Save Contact" is the message I get.All the messages I received and Logs are intact. If I make new calls, its getting logged. Only Contacts has the problem...not able to create/save a contact.I have now:

So i recently updated the phone to 5.1.1 (around tuesday). my last call was on sunday. after this update my microphone isn't working anymore. No one can hear my voice. Video works. Siri recognizes a little bit of noise when I blow in the left hole on the bottom. memo works when I shout at the left hole (you can hear your voice but not that much). so it's not a hardware problem. haven't dropped it or something. in fact the 4s stood the days between the call, the update and the second call in it's stand. I updated my phone last week to IOS 7.1.2 and my microphone stopped working while on a call. It works perfectly on Speaker phone and video recording so therefore its not an issue with the mic but must be the software update. I remember having this problem before with an update also.

Mainly happens while on facebook mobile, and will occure while typing completely randomly. The reply from support is simply update software, I can't see why I have to do all this, as apart from anything else I don't currently have a phone line for internet due to illegal BT sales activity! It is also suggested that I send phone off in a jiffy bag to be repaired if unsuccessful, and what do I do for a phone in the mean time?? Not only that they suggest that it will cost me if it is not a fault they cover.

To get to emojis, I have to hold down the microphone voice key to be able to select the emoji section. I find this quite irritable for someone who uses a lot of emojis but never voice input. I used to be able to get rid of the microphone so I could go straight to emoji use on my old Galaxy S3, but I can't seem to figure out how for my new (non-edge) Galaxy S6.
View 2 Replies View RelatedBasically I never get any notification of app updates, not do they update automatically. I have to go into app store regularly, then to updates and thereafter it shows the updates available, and shows the badge on the app store logo (ie red 3 for three new updates).
I've tried logging out of the current apple ID, powering off, on, putting apple ID back, no difference.
Tried turning off automatic updates, powering off, on, putting it back on, no difference (it's currently set in obviously).
Also difficult yo test as each time I need to wait for new updates to be issues to see if it works or not.
