View 1 RepliesVery happy with my Atrix 4G (running 2.3.4) and I've invested in 3 docks: desk, car, and laptop.
I've recently started having problems when using the phone (on battery) playing audio through a bluetooth speaker. This happens with music on the phone with the default Android music player, with Audible's player (for books), and the Pandora music app. Since that's a mix of local and remote (WiFi) content it can't be a WiFi problem.
The problem does not occur when the phone is powered (via the car or laptop dock).
I've searched high and low for an auto app shutdown setting, but can't find it. BTW, Battery Mode is Performance.
I have downloaded a marine GPS and I want to use it with Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The GPS provider has provided me with a link for a program that would enable me to receive the GPS locator information from my PC rather than directly from the satellites. But it is for a Bluetooth connections, which I don't have on my PC. Is it possible to use the USB connection that came with the phone to receive the information from my computer?
Is there a workaround to print a dialog box in a program that doesn't have a printer option.

Ok so I read the webpage on how to root the Aria. I am still clueless to how to do it though. How do you get the one program on a sd card, where do I get that program? Can anyone help me out. I want to get some of this ATT bloatware off of the phone to clear up some space and also to maybe overclock it safely.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOr do I have a defective device? It's been like this since launch day, I just figured there were some bugs in the software they had to iron out, but it's not getting better only worse. I figured this would be a big news story if it was a widespread problem, but I haven't heard anything. I can't even use my phone as an alarm anymore because it will also randomly turn itself off in the night. I've been late to work twice now because of that.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy s5 sometimes shows the right time and sometimes doesn't following Daylight Savings (sometimes it's an hour off). I keep having to restart the device, which fixes things in the short term. But, my alarms go off and then go off again an hour later. This is getting really tiresome! It's set to auto date/time/time zone, so I don't understand why it keeps showing the wrong time.

The last time I synced with Outlook, a lot of the same contacts came up multiple times -- around 50+ times each. Seems the only way to delete them is individually. I would like to know the following: 1) is there a way to do multiple deletes and 2) what made this happen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEarlier this week I updated my edge to 5.1.1. Ever since I randomly get the error message "unfortunately hangouts has stopped". I have never used hangouts and it has been disabled since the day I got my phone. I tried clearing the cache and it still happens. I use the stock texting app and have never even looked at hangouts. I tried to diagnose what was causing this, but it happens at random times.
View 14 Replies View RelatedMy contact app crashes multiple times a day, so essentially I have no contacts. If someone calls or text they are recognized but nothing is in the app if it decides to open. Also my visual voice-mail craps out when trying to open it. All of this since the t-mobile 5.1.1 update..

Is there a way to show what alarm times are set, for which days and multiple alarms?
The alarm icon does show on the top of the screen. But no other info.
My old galaxy nexus would show this info.
Is there a way to set this up to show?.
I bought my Galaxy S2 on the 21st of July from Carphone Warehouse on a new contract (Panther 30). I've been with Orange for a few years now but it was time for an upgrade.Ever since I've had the phone, I recieve duplicate txt messages from anyone who txts me. It could be Iphone users, Blackberry users, other networks, you name it. I even get multiple txt messages from competetions (you know, when you try win all that gear on The Gadget Show and they send a conformation txt acknowledging your entry). I can recieve up to 5-6 of the same txt message throughout the day (they usually come in quite quickly) and I can even get them days after me first recieveing the original.I went back to Carphone Warehouse for their help but they suggested I rang Orange first to find out if it was a network problem or handset issue.Orange were useless at first but then I got through to technical support team 2. An action was opened and so we tried different solutions.
1. Factory reset of the handset. Didn't work.
2. Put my SIM card into another phone (Samsung D500). Suprisingly this worked and I didn't recieve any duplicates the whole day, which indicated it was indeed a handset problem. We agreed that I should go back to Carphone Warehouse and get a new handset but if the problem continued then I should get back in contact with the same chap in techincal support team 2.
3. Went off to Carphone Warehouse. Got the new handset. Unfortunatly the problem remained. It actually got much worse!
4. Got back in contact with the chap at Orange and he could see on his system that there were error codes and that the recieved txt messages weren't recognized at being recieved, therefore would be sent again and again. All the information we had was sent off the tech boffins at Orange to see if they could think of a solution.
5. Finally Orange came back with an answer, which was that I should try a new SIM card (register it and everything). So they sent one, which has only arrived this morning (took 8days). I've recieved the Orange txt that should come within 24hours and then deleted it and turned the phone off. BUT NO! This hasn't worked either. I've already recieved duplicate txt messages from someone. Three of one, and two of another txt.
I usually have 3bars to full signal where I am so it's not as though poor signal is causing this. Everyone else in the house is on Orange too and doesn't have this same problem. I never did either on my old Nokia 5800. It doesn't just happen at home though. I could be anywhere.
Signal strength (right now), -83dBm 15asu

Since I just did a upgrade of Samsung Kies to (File name: Kies_2.5.0.12094_28_8.exe) everytime I start the application I get the error "Kies has stopped working, Close the Program". This happens whether or not I have the phone connected via USB. At first I had the problem to do with KiesPDLR has stopped working. I followed the advice of an uninstall and clean re-install and I think it worked a couple of times. Now it won't work at all, even after another clean install. The other symptom I get is that when I boot up my machine it says that Kies Air has stopped working (not that I'm using it).I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI use my S5 to read / respond to corporate emails. At work we use MS Exchange server / Outlook which defaults the email font to 11pt Calibri for both new emails and replies. But whenever I respond to a work email using the stock S5 email app it uses 11pt Times New Roman for the response I type. Not only that but I noticed that it even converts prior messages in the thread to 11pt Times New Roman though they were originally 11pt Calibri. The interesting thing is that while it converts prior email message body content to 11pt Times New Roman it actually uses 10pt Tahoma font for the email header section (i.e. From:, Sent:, To:, etc.) which does actually look much more similar to Calibri than Times New Roman does.
This is all very unfortunate since I would like to use my phone as a seamless extension of my PC. I would like emails sent from my PC or phone to be indistinguishable from each other by the readers. By converting all body content to Times New Roman, it not only looks really bad / unprofessional but it immediately identifies that the email was composed on the phone. As I mentioned above the stock email sender does seem able to use Tahoma font... so as a compromise I would even accept that my replies would default to Tahoma font instead of Times New Roman.
This seems to be longstanding issue for many people using Samsung Galaxy phones and going back to the S3. I saw the "Change outgoing email font?" Though that post was for the S3 and highlighted the problem of changing the outgoing font... it did not call out that the problem is in fact deeper since the stock email system changes fonts of past emails in the thread!?
My phone says its has the following - ndroid version: 2.3.3Baseband version: I9100BUKG1Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9100BUKG2-CL342890 root@DELL102 #2Build number: GINGERBREAD.BUKG2ies says may phone has the latest firmware (Kies also updated) but since I updated the phone about 3 weeks ago it keeps restart (as if powered off/on) at various times (during calls, internet access, running apps). Went into my local VF shop and they said to check there has not been a never firmware update but Kies finds nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my white G6 for about 3 months now and haven't had any problems until the past few days. I used to be able to connect the BT to several devices: cars, ear piece, speakers, etc, but now the BT won't even stay on long enough to connect to anything. I hit the BT button, it will stay on for about 8 seconds and then turn off.
I did the BT force close, clear cache and it still won't turn on. I did a factory reset this morning and I am still unable to turn on BT.
I searched through the forum and didn't see anything like this - most of the BT issues are about connecting to a device. Mine won't even stay on.
I have a couple weeks old Galaxy S6 that was working great until suddenly today the Bluetooth stopped working..
I turn the phone on from the OFF state.
When it boots, I open the app drawer and choose Settings. Then Bluetooth.
In the Bluetooth screen the switch is toggled off, now I tap the switch to turn it on and it turns green. The text "Turning on.." appears and all looks well, but then suddenly the switch just toggles back to the OFF position again!
I've tried turning it on repeatedly, same thing happens. Have tried toggling it from the pull down menu, and same thing.. It just turns on for 10 seconds then back off again.
It's completely not useful, not a single error message or anything.. Impossible for me to troubleshoot
I tried uninstalling all my apps, didn't fix it.
My S6 connects fine to my car. However, it keeps disconnecting even if im not using it. I didn't have this issue before on my Note 4. This is a software or hardware issue before i return it ?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI just recently made the transition from a Lumia 1020 Windows 8.1 phone to an S6. I have a 2010 Ford Focus with the Ford Sync system.
On my 1020, when connected to Bluetooth, I was able to have my texts read to me over my speakers and reply via hands free. I cannot for the life of me however get the S6 to replicate this behavior.
I can get the car to recognize texts, but they come across the text messaging system, which requires manipulation of the stereo, and response isn't entirely hands free.
I've tried using multiple suggestions, but haven't found anything that works. Is exist Android to work out of the box like my 1020 and my wife's iPhone 6+
I can get Bluetooth audio, but no hands free. I drive 60+ miles on a work commute. I've tried 3rd party apps, but they were slowing down my system and draining battery life horribly.
on my ps3 is says scan for a nearby Bluetooth devices so I made my s5 available for nearby devices to see it. but the ps3 just kept scanning it never found anything. am I doing something wrong?
View 2 Replies View RelatedProblems with my nokia again :-(
A couple of days ago the Nokia Map 3.0 program just failed to start.
Earlier the same day it worked fine. But suddenly just the startscreen loads and disappears. I've tried to reinstall the map program. I've tried to reset the phone to the original factory settings, but the problem persists.
In this process I have lost most of my settings for voip, email, and more, so now it is less work to buy a new, non-nokia phone, than to get this **bleep** set up again. Both the N85 and N82 have been very unstable and with poor support from nokia.
Of course this happened at the most inconvenient moment, for Nokia, since I'm about to buy new phones for my family. I hope I can get a good answer from Nokia, on how I can get the map and phone working again.
