I often want to change the flash option (auto, on, off) while in the camera shooting screen. My last phone had a flash icon on the screen that made changing flash options easy. I can't find how to do that on the S5. Is there a way? Having to go to Settings is a PITA.

I'm having a problem with my back camera when I take picture with flash on auto i have blue light on the picture ruining it but when i turn the flash manual there's no problem .

First I tried to flash CF-Autoroot with odin v3.10.6 - after odin passed, the phone rebooted and got stuck on "powered by android" screen
I got the stock firmware (G920FXXU1AOBN) downloaded and flashed with odin.. the phone comes to life...
I try to flash twrp. ... same story
What can be the cause of this ? Can't root or get custom recovery
Should I do the OTA update maybe and try ?
one year ago i purchased X2-00 and firmware was V4.80, with that firmware camera view was very crystal clear but as soon as i updated to V8.35 shooting quality of camera became very bad. Those pictures which i shoot was looking very hazy, you can say fuzzy also. It really downgraded the camera quality. Few of my friends are also facing same problem.So, is their any other way to downgrade firmware to old version V4.80? or to release a new one to correct the camera quality?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen shooting with the camera of my xperia mini, sometimes the image hangs for 2 or 3 seconds, and then continues to shoot normally. Random hangings happen here and then. I suspect it has to do with the focusing function, or maybe some applications working in the background. This happens even when there are not much application working in the background.

This happened both when I tap the screen, tap the video button, or press the camera button on the side. The Windows video app works, but I need to use Nokia video for the editing capabilities ( plus it's just better, I upgraded from a 920 so I'm not new to Windows devices).

I didnt drop my phone and I removed the plastic of the camera lens and led flash, so that cant be the problem.

Things that are relatively up close such as my face end up being a tad blurry whereas everything in the background is nice, sharp, and detailed. No matter how I position my face in the shot, despite it recognizing my face, it just won't bring it into focus. After a few more shots, it doesn't look like the front is auto-focusing at all. I've checked all of the camera settings, and everything is defaulted except for Beauty mode which I have set to 0. How possible is it that this is a hardware defect?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have problem with my X6-00 16GB primary camera. When I turn camera on, screen stays black, only this focusing white box and other symbols are visible on screen. But no picture. When I push "take picture button", then focusing box starts blinking and stays like this, until camera goes standby mode. Secondary camera, in front of the phone is working fine. Also I have a Flashlight program (Brightlight v1.0) on my phone and it doesn't turn camera flash on, like it should be.
I gave my phone to friend who reset phone to the factory settings. After that camera worked for a while, but one day it was again black. I have done a couple of times software reinstall with nokia ovi suite on my computer. After that camera works couple of days or only couple of hours and then goes black again. Software version is the newest for that phone, v32.0.002.
i thought i was crazy at first and it was just my imagination when i saw it flash up when receiving a text message/notification/ phone call and the camera flash lighted up. then today i had my phone on silent and received a phone call and just watched it light up and flash until i finally picked up. i've went through a bunch of the settings but i cant find one to turn this off.

So my fully updated S5 lock screen will disable itself randomly. I will have it on the swipe or code lock and several days later it will just auto put it back to no screen lock. Same is happening to my wife's S5 and we have a few same apps that we have had for a year. It could be several days to one day.

I am confused. Everything I have been told/read is that the BlackBerry Curve 8530 doesn't have a camera flash but I was just on the BlackBerry website and was looking at the specs. It says that there's a built in flash. Is there a flash or not? I would love to get it if there is one.

At first, it was green screen in the hires image. Then it was grey screen in th hires image and now it starts ruining my 5 mpx images too. Reinstalling Lumia Camera does not give a solution. Is my 1020 dying?

I have tried to move my hand above the sensor while it is locked, then the screen would turn on. The sensor would have a blue light first then the screen turn on.
Even the phone is in the bag or on the table while I am having meeting, the screen would just randomly turn on. It is very embarrassing while I am having important meeting and the phone is on the table. People may think I play phone or something like that.
Is it possible to get the wording of pushmails to flash up on the otherwise-on-standby screen for say 10 seconds. If not a setting, is there a widget or something that will do this perhaps?

Also even though I don't have auto rotate on, the screen keeps rotating around which is quite annoying! It freezes quite a bit as well. And the battery doesn't seem to charge as well. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my newly purchased yesterday Galaxy S6 Edge for Verizon and auto-brightness is turned off. However, when I go into a dark environment my phone screen dims itself even though the auto feature is turned off.
When in a dark environment I can can hit the phones camera sensor with a flashlight and the screen returns to full brightness. When the screen is then locked and unlocked again it will return to the dim setting.
Extremely frustrating considering how beautiful the S6 Edges screen is. Wondering if there is a fix I can do now, waiting for an OTA update, or just return the phone and get something else.
For some reason today when i opened up my camera to take a few shots it had problem auto focusing on items close to me, as you know when you tap the screen to focus on a point in the screen you get the circle and a small beep to let you know it's focusing ok, it seemed to have problems getting to this point and there was an audible high pitched buzzing or clicking sound coming from the lens itself and the screen image would not come into focus
the phone has not been dropped or roughly handled so i am 100% sure it's not an issue caused by being knocked, i have tried a reset and a reboot but the issue still remains, also i have done no recent updates and there are none showing so that's not the issue either
