BB Curve 8520/8530 :: Camera Flash - Is There Flash Or Not?
Aug 11, 2010
I am confused. Everything I have been told/read is that the BlackBerry Curve 8530 doesn't have a camera flash but I was just on the BlackBerry website and was looking at the specs. It says that there's a built in flash. Is there a flash or not? I would love to get it if there is one.
i thought i was crazy at first and it was just my imagination when i saw it flash up when receiving a text message/notification/ phone call and the camera flash lighted up. then today i had my phone on silent and received a phone call and just watched it light up and flash until i finally picked up. i've went through a bunch of the settings but i cant find one to turn this off.
The flash works fine with the camera but doesn't work with any other app using the flash like flashlight or heart rate monitor. I tried downloading different apps or deleting the app and reinstalling rebooting the phone each time but the problem persists. Any suggestions? I upgraded to 5.1.1. The same
I am new to phone flashing i'd like to know if a sprint blackberry curve 8530 can be flashed to boost mobile.I was on the boost threads but i have not gotten any replies so maybe i can get answers here.Although i saw some instructions for other sprint blackberry phones but for the blackberry curve 8530 are very hard to flash.
This is my 4th BB and while I'm not a pro, I would like to think I know a little. I have not been able to find a flash option anywhere on this phone! I just upgraded from the 8330 Curve, to this one and so far I am highly disappointed! My friend who has an iPhone said BB is trying to be more like it. From the layout of the texts to the options. It's frustrating! If I wanted an iPhone, I would have bought one...I like the BB for the features it has not for being like the iPhone.Sorry, I got a bit rant-y but I cannot believe this new version doesn't have a flash. Hope I'm overlooking something!
I want to know when will motorola razr be released in india ?I'am currently using xt720 and also fire xt. Though both have shortcomings like xt720 does not have official froyo/gingerbreadand hence cannot move apps to flash and view flash based websites and though fire xt is gingerbread i could not view flash based sitesas it is powered by a armv6 processor. Inspite of these i'am addicted to motorola phones because of thier excellent sound quality particularly
Is it just me or does my X flash green for no reason and not flash when it should? That little green light is VERY important and I had become quite used to living for it
I have a Curve 8520 that's brand new. However, I notice when I zoom the camera and take a picture, the camera doesn't actually zoom in. All it does is resize the image so that it gets smaller the more it says the zoom number. For example, If I take a picture at 1x zoom, it will be 1024x768 pixels on my computer screen. However, if I zoom in 3x, it makes the picture much smaller (like 600x800) and more focused (and pixelated) on the center of the subject of the picture.
So that on the tiny Blackberry screen, the picture appears bigger when resized down a lot. When has digital zoom meant resizing the image to fool the user into thinking that it is zoomed only when viewing it on the blackberry screen? When I zoom in, it should keep the picture the same size! What a gip for a relatively high quality phone camera too.
Is it possible? I own a 8520, I've asked other 8520 owners and they have no idea, I also searched around and found nothing. Anyone know if it's possible? Or do I need some kind of app...By camera sound I mean the "click" sound it makes when you take a photo.
I bought Nokia c5-03 and it disappointed me in many ways,
1. No flash for camera 2. Messaging don't have conversation view 3. Camera zooming was fake. 4. No games 5. No picture timeline application 6. No call recorder
Can you design a usb attachment light or flash something that you can just snap on to the top of your playbook. I know you would have to design some type of software or app for it to work but in stinks when you wanna capture a picture and the lighting is not good so the picture is also not very good or blank.
The only way to turn the light off is to pull the battery.I've searched and haven't found any solutions. Blackberry hasn't responded to any posts about this problem that I can find.
My company has all BB Style phones and will be switching from BB if this problem can not be addressed.
i upgraded to the bold 9900 4g recently. my old BB took great pictures, no matter what the lighting situation. but the 9900 only takes good photos in good light. the flash seems to be out of sync with the camera. the flash works -- it just doesn't seem to work in sync with the camera. could this be a software issue, or is it simply a mechanical/electronic issue?
I feel incredibly stupid, but for the life of me I CONNOT find how to turn on the flash for my camera. In my old Nokia it was as simple as going to the camera settings and selecting Flash > On / Off, but on my new 2730 there doesn't seem to be such an option. I have tried going into all the camera settings but couldn't find this very simple setting.
It may or may not be possible, but the headset seems to support headset mode..just wondering if there is a driver available for windows ? (I am using Win 7 but guess vista or a generic driver might work?)
Even when i click on "Off", it just turns on the light and then turn it off when clicking pic and when i record video, there is a red light. how to turn them off?
Just made the leap to OS 6 on Vodafone UK. The issue I have is that the AF assist light and flash fires once, and then refuses to again until you do a battery out reboot.
Took a pic with my torch and it needed a flash..the flash will not turn off...Shut down the Phone and it remains on - only way to turn it off is to remove battery...Also on my keybad the Z will type a Y and the Y will type a Z...
