My phone works perfectly except I can't answer calls, when I press answer/ignore it freezes until it goes to voicemail and then comes back. I've flashed multiple roms and had the problem with all of them. I'm not using any special themes or anything, and the only software I ever install are HD Tweak and Finger Keyboard 2.1 and my radio 1.14.25.24. Here's a list of what I've done since I had the phone:
1. Bought phone. Flashed HSPL. Flashed Laurentius L26, no problems. Was being lazy so I didn't hard reset after flashing.
2. Flashed Dutty R14. Didn't hard reset after flashing. No problems for awhile and then the problem of not being able to answer calls appeared.
3. Flashed EnergyRom wm6.5 rom. Hard reset twice after. Still having problem where I can't answer calls.
4. Flashed Dutty 3.9XT wm6.1 rom. Hard reset twice after. Still having problem where I can't answer calls.
If anyone can help me figure out why my phone is doing this I'd really appreciate it, I'll even pay you some money on PayPal if you like because I really want to fix it. Here are some ideas I had as to why it's not working:
- Problem with rom flash. No, because I tried it with 3 different roms so far and had the same problem.
- Touch HD isn't fast enough to run wm6.5 and be stable. No, because I tried it with a wm6.1 rom too and had the same problem.
- Someone suggested it might be a problem with the battery. No, because I ordered new replacement batteries and tried them and had the same problem.
- Some of the settings in HD Tweak are incompatible with something in the roms I'm using. Maybe, is this possible? I don't really change much, just the softkeys and the highlight color and things like that.
- Screwed up something in the SPL or something because I didn't hard reset after flashing the first 2 roms. Maybe, is this possible?
- Dropped my phone and somehow managed to break nothing but the mechanism involved in answering calls. Maybe, is this possible?
Today I'm going to reflash HSPL, flash the stock HTC rom, hard reset twice, and see if I still have the problem. I don't know what else to do or what other possibilities there are. If anyone can shed some light on this issue, that would be great, because I really don't want to have to buy a new phone.
I wish I was back in college and all my buds had iPhone.I can only imagine all the pranks.
1) Friend calls you answer with a shot of a present in the toilet!
2) Friend calls you answer with your a$$ hanging out....hello I'd like to assk you a question.
3) Friend calls to see any number of genital configurations!
4) You call your girlfriend with an iPhone and hope to god she answers in the shower.
This should be a top 10 list on Letterman or something Richard Christy from Stern should take up....I hope this does not get zapped by a mod.
How do I change my FaceTime to connect thru my phone number not email?

iPhone 4 (iOS 7.1) -- Found 4 Face time calls listed as missed, but I never received any audible alert that a call was attempted When I discovered the missed calls, had my husband call me on Face Time and it rang through properly. The 4 missed calls were all from my daughter, who is listed in my contacts; all came in one after the other (not at different times).
View 1 Replies View RelatedNever had problems with Nokia in the past, and after happily purchasing a Nokia X6-00 16GB in the month of March of this year, my thoughts on Nokia only reinforced WHY i've always gone with Nokia.
Now, i purchased the phone when i was living in England, i moved back to Cyprus in April shortly after the purchase and got the phone unlocked, put in a Cypriot Sim card with CytaMobile. Everything was just great.
This past month as been slightly less of a joy though, out of no fault of my own, the phone seems to stop recieving and making calls, all calls get diverted to my answer phone, and to solve this problem i have had to turn the phone off, then back on again. Problem solved.
That was until this morning. I can still recieve texts but if someone attempts to call me, they are greeted with a 'beep' and then the phone call ends on their end.
For me i am greeted with deadly silence, then a little notification saying 'No Answer'.
I have restarted the phone;
Restored Factory Settings'
Upgraded to the latest firmware it will let me, being v20;
Still no luck, i am hoping it is not an internal problem with the phone, as in Cyprus as far as 'Offical' nokia care points are non-existant. The SIM card is on a contract, so if my phone had been cut off, so would my messaging and my internet which are all still in-use, and work just fine without problems.
On another note, if you are unable to find a cause for that problem, maybe you can give me a quick reasoning on why the phone shuts itself off when i choose the facebook application on occasions. Again only over the past month has this been happening.
Are there any apps which allow us to answer incoming calls automatically after n number of rings? Just like an answering machine

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 6 plus is less than a week old, and a problem that began on the second day seems to be getting worse
1. At times I am unable to answer an incoming call. The "answer" symbol is not responsive to touch, however much I try.
2. Likewise, after I mke a call and want to hang up, the "end call" symbol is not responsive to touch. (the entire screen seems to freeze, because nothing else responds to touch: the speaker, keypad, etc)
I have tried switching off and starting the phone (twice), the problem persists, and in fact the frequency seems to increase by the day...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm still waiting to get my iPhone 4 in the mail. In the mean time I had a couple questions about facetime someone can hopefully help me out with. since facetime is supposed to be wifi only (for now) is it possible to start and execute a facetime call without a data plan (or with cellular data turned off)? I would assume so. What about starting a facetime call without ANY minutes or without a SIM card? If it's over wifi, do you even need minutes or a phone number? I would love to basically use facetime as you would use skype or ichat. I don't want to give my phone number away or need someones phone number to facetime. I just want to videochat over wifi. Also, I heard something about needing a text messaging plan in order to start a facetime call or an international facetime call, is this true? What about international facetime calls? Let's say I'm in the states and want to facetime with someone in London, do I need to have international calls enabled to face time or will absolutely ZERO (0) minutes be used if i directly start the call as a facetime call?

I wake the screen (as its just black) - standard lockscreen, unlock, standard launcher - there's no dialler popup to answer the call or anything.I've dug through all the options and can't find anything that might be causing this, I haven't yet factory reset as I spent a load of time customising everything before noticing, sigh.Any clues to how I can debug this?

I have a cell phone so I can place and recieve calls and my 9330 won't place calls (it "connects" but there s no sound and when the person "I called" answers there is a clicking sound), answer calls (it rings, and the "talk" nor "select" buttons work) nor play media files through the media plaers (I always get the same error msg "there was an error in playback"). I have no idea if it is related, but "app world" disappeared as well as any screen identifying the OS. I am stymied, frustrated and on my way to being really upset.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my new Curve 9330 yesterday and I've gotten a few incoming calls and I can't answer them. I hit the green send button, or the blackberry key and try to select answer. Nothing works. I don't get the little spinning egg timer like other complaints have mentioned. It just rings and goes to missed call.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently picked up a Galaxy S6 and have an issue with answering incoming phone calls. The phone will ring, but often when I pull it out of my pocket it the screen stays black and doesn't have an option to answer. If I unlock the phone with my fingerprint it just takes me to the home screen like normal and there is no option to answer the phone anywhere.

Ever since the last update, I am having a hard time answering calls when the screen is locked(off). You are supposed to slide it up to answer calls but I try and try to slide it and it won't answer. I have tried tapping all around the screen also. Nothing.
I see the icons move when I slide across them, but they don't respond.
When my phone rings the screen is black and if I turn power on it hangs up calls. If my phone is on and it runs there is no way to answer it unless I use put up to ear option and then I can't see who's calling before I answer because it doesn't show any information. Started doing this after recent update...
View 9 Replies View RelatedStarted to get to grips with my S2 after switching over from Blackberry for business. Must admit, i'm quite enjoying it now! I still use an iPhone for personal so it's quite nice to have the comparison..Anyway, sitting at my desk with my headset on I would love to be able to answer my client calls and reply to SMS by using my PC instead of the phone itself. It may sound lazy but it'd be so much quicker to just stick it in a USB dock or something and then not have to worry about it again all day.Is this possible? I've seen something called MOBILedit but the reviews don't seem too clever.
