I just got my new Curve 9330 yesterday and I've gotten a few incoming calls and I can't answer them. I hit the green send button, or the blackberry key and try to select answer. Nothing works. I don't get the little spinning egg timer like other complaints have mentioned. It just rings and goes to missed call.
My bb curve has a mind of its own. the keypad does not work at all, i am unable to open text or answer calls.the cursor works after i take the battery out and it loads up but it wont do anything once its on. Just a red light flashes and thats it>
I had an 8 month old phone that was actingup , going to speaker phone with no buttons being pushed , couldnt answer incoming calls, couldnt see who was calling . Yesterday i had it swapped out for a new refurbished unit and it is doing the same thing today . Has anyone heard of or experienced any of these problems
When my LG G3 phone rings I do not get any options to answer the call and if the phone screen is sleeping it does not waken up, I can make calls and receive call but just cannot answer them......
I'm unable to answer any incoming calls because the display becomes unresponsive. If the screen is blank, it remains blank until the phone stops ringing. If the screen is active, it remains active but unresponsive for the duration of the ring. I'm still using Kit Kat 4.4.4.
Ever since my phone was updated to ICS, I've noticed that once in a while (it's probably happened 5 times now) I can not answer an incoming phone call. Usually it's while my phone is in the Droid 4 car dock, but it has also happened without it being connected to anything. What happens is my phone will ring either through the phone speakers and my bluetooth headset (if connected), but the phone "answer" screen will not pop up, and the phone doesn't respond to any type of input, which forces me to reboot my phone by holding down the power/volume down buttons. Once the phone boots back up, there is no record of who called me in the recent calls list, so hopefully they leave me a voicemail otherwise I have no idea who called me. After the first couple times this happened, I decided to perform a factory reset, hoping that this would fix the lag/freeze up issue, but it did not correct this problem. The only way that I can think of trying to minimize the occurrences of the phone freezing up/ running sluggishly would be to perform a reboot every couple days or so to clear up the memory.
A few times a week it becomes almost impossible to answer calls as you cannot slide the unlock across the screen. Latest android 2.1 on phone, have tried repairing this and using service / app killers. It is not a dirty screen as often once you have missed the call you can unlock the screen easily.
Recently i got careless and i accidentally cracked my nexus 5 screen after dropping it on the ground
Currently the touch screen works but there is a problem. I am unable to answer calls as the screen goes black and does not turn on again until the person has hung up or until i reset the phone. Also when i try to call out the screen turns black as well and exhibits the same symptoms as listed above.
From people who have had experience with cracked Nexus 5 screens, do you think replacing the digitizer + lcd will fix this issue or did i screw up something big
error: Randomly I am unable to answer calls due to onscreen keyboard being in the way of the slider.I have updated to Build Number:4.0.A.2.368 via the Sony Ericsson Companion Software.
My phone works perfectly except I can't answer calls, when I press answer/ignore it freezes until it goes to voicemail and then comes back. I've flashed multiple roms and had the problem with all of them. I'm not using any special themes or anything, and the only software I ever install are HD Tweak and Finger Keyboard 2.1 and my radio 1.14.25.24. Here's a list of what I've done since I had the phone:
1. Bought phone. Flashed HSPL. Flashed Laurentius L26, no problems. Was being lazy so I didn't hard reset after flashing. 2. Flashed Dutty R14. Didn't hard reset after flashing. No problems for awhile and then the problem of not being able to answer calls appeared. 3. Flashed EnergyRom wm6.5 rom. Hard reset twice after. Still having problem where I can't answer calls. 4. Flashed Dutty 3.9XT wm6.1 rom. Hard reset twice after. Still having problem where I can't answer calls.
If anyone can help me figure out why my phone is doing this I'd really appreciate it, I'll even pay you some money on PayPal if you like because I really want to fix it. Here are some ideas I had as to why it's not working:
- Problem with rom flash. No, because I tried it with 3 different roms so far and had the same problem. - Touch HD isn't fast enough to run wm6.5 and be stable. No, because I tried it with a wm6.1 rom too and had the same problem. - Someone suggested it might be a problem with the battery. No, because I ordered new replacement batteries and tried them and had the same problem. - Some of the settings in HD Tweak are incompatible with something in the roms I'm using. Maybe, is this possible? I don't really change much, just the softkeys and the highlight color and things like that. - Screwed up something in the SPL or something because I didn't hard reset after flashing the first 2 roms. Maybe, is this possible? - Dropped my phone and somehow managed to break nothing but the mechanism involved in answering calls. Maybe, is this possible?
Today I'm going to reflash HSPL, flash the stock HTC rom, hard reset twice, and see if I still have the problem. I don't know what else to do or what other possibilities there are. If anyone can shed some light on this issue, that would be great, because I really don't want to have to buy a new phone.
I have a cell phone so I can place and recieve calls and my 9330 won't place calls (it "connects" but there s no sound and when the person "I called" answers there is a clicking sound), answer calls (it rings, and the "talk" nor "select" buttons work) nor play media files through the media plaers (I always get the same error msg "there was an error in playback"). I have no idea if it is related, but "app world" disappeared as well as any screen identifying the OS. I am stymied, frustrated and on my way to being really upset.
The rest of my phone works fine it just doesnt let me click on anything. I keep getting messages and calls but cant see the messages or answer the calls..
I have a Blackberry Curve 9630 , I can't make or answer calls from the handset.aller is able to hearme when call is picked up but I can't hear them. I can only make or answerthe call using speaker option. And works fine this way. Have tried re-bootingbut doesn't work. Never experience this before and phone was workingperfectly right up to this morning. All otheres like BBM, Email, SMS, apps, are working fine.
Never had problems with Nokia in the past, and after happily purchasing a Nokia X6-00 16GB in the month of March of this year, my thoughts on Nokia only reinforced WHY i've always gone with Nokia.
Now, i purchased the phone when i was living in England, i moved back to Cyprus in April shortly after the purchase and got the phone unlocked, put in a Cypriot Sim card with CytaMobile. Everything was just great.
This past month as been slightly less of a joy though, out of no fault of my own, the phone seems to stop recieving and making calls, all calls get diverted to my answer phone, and to solve this problem i have had to turn the phone off, then back on again. Problem solved.
That was until this morning. I can still recieve texts but if someone attempts to call me, they are greeted with a 'beep' and then the phone call ends on their end.
For me i am greeted with deadly silence, then a little notification saying 'No Answer'.
I have restarted the phone;
Restored Factory Settings'
Upgraded to the latest firmware it will let me, being v20;
Still no luck, i am hoping it is not an internal problem with the phone, as in Cyprus as far as 'Offical' nokia care points are non-existant. The SIM card is on a contract, so if my phone had been cut off, so would my messaging and my internet which are all still in-use, and work just fine without problems.
On another note, if you are unable to find a cause for that problem, maybe you can give me a quick reasoning on why the phone shuts itself off when i choose the facebook application on occasions. Again only over the past month has this been happening.
My torch was working perfectly fine in the morning , but now i'n not able to answer the calls : the phone rings and when i press the answer button, it the tune stops but i'm still not connected , another problem is that when i call someone they cannot hear me .
My Blackberry is around 4 months old and has not been the best phone i have ever had, but does the job, or did until this morning and for some reason when i left the handset the phone goes off. I am unable to answer the phone when it rings if i left the handset? The torch screen is only working but not as it should be very slow.
I've got a brand new Galaxy S6 (unlocked), running 5.1.1 - I dial it, it rings, but there's no way to pick it up. I wake the screen (as its just black) - standard lockscreen, unlock, standard launcher - there's no dialler popup to answer the call or anything.I've dug through all the options and can't find anything that might be causing this, I haven't yet factory reset as I spent a load of time customising everything before noticing, sigh.Any clues to how I can debug this?
I have recently picked up a Galaxy S6 and have an issue with answering incoming phone calls. The phone will ring, but often when I pull it out of my pocket it the screen stays black and doesn't have an option to answer. If I unlock the phone with my fingerprint it just takes me to the home screen like normal and there is no option to answer the phone anywhere.
1 or 2 out of 10 incoming calls, I am UNABLE to answer, the swiping right action just doesn't seem to work, the phone stops ringing but the screen keeps displaying the answer/ reject screen, like the one in the middle below:
I have even chosen to use the HOME button to answer incoming calls (the picture on the left above) but it doesn't work either... (I can't answer by swiping or hitting the home key).
Ever since the last update, I am having a hard time answering calls when the screen is locked(off). You are supposed to slide it up to answer calls but I try and try to slide it and it won't answer. I have tried tapping all around the screen also. Nothing.
I see the icons move when I slide across them, but they don't respond.
When my phone rings the screen is black and if I turn power on it hangs up calls. If my phone is on and it runs there is no way to answer it unless I use put up to ear option and then I can't see who's calling before I answer because it doesn't show any information. Started doing this after recent update...
Started to get to grips with my S2 after switching over from Blackberry for business. Must admit, i'm quite enjoying it now! I still use an iPhone for personal so it's quite nice to have the comparison..Anyway, sitting at my desk with my headset on I would love to be able to answer my client calls and reply to SMS by using my PC instead of the phone itself. It may sound lazy but it'd be so much quicker to just stick it in a USB dock or something and then not have to worry about it again all day.Is this possible? I've seen something called MOBILedit but the reviews don't seem too clever.
I updated my E55 software to the latest one and now if a call comes in, the phone sometimes just freezes, no button responds and I cannot answer the call !
Is there any possibility to revert software back to older version ?
I had no problems before
Also please fix the phonebook bug , if one name has several numbers , I cannot call either of them , it just cancels it.
Have a problem with my nokia n95 8gb 2. after downloading music from my pc,i have to have my phone on loud speakerto answer and recive calls. i have updated my software, tried restarting the phone on factory settings, but no luck so far. the phone rings ok and everything seems good, but once i answer or make a call i has to be put on loudspeaker to hear.
