Eseries / Communicators :: Transferring SMS Messages From Nokia 6233 To E63?
Oct 6, 2011
I recently purchased a Nokia E63 and have successfully transferred my contacts from my old Nokia 6233 but have been unable to do the same for my SMS messages? I have attempted to do have the Content Copier but have only been partially successful (ie only some messages transferred)
How on earth do i transfer, or copy would be even better, text messages from my E72 phone to memory card? Everytime i do the phone switch it stops after 3 messages ive tried it several times now
When I connect my E52 to the pc to upload my photos and videos it says that "no new pictures or videos were found on this device". had a similar problem with their E52? It usually upload without too much trouble.
I have a nokia E71. I tried everything to transfer music from my pc to my phone memory but nothing goes in the music player I did refresh all I get is - 18 my music is on the phone but I can't get it in my music player.
When I use the refresh function on the music library to transfer new songs, the new songs don't get transfered on the amount stays the same. How can I add new songs? Is there something wrong with the device?
I have lost my contact data while i was transfering to another device through sync, i am using 6120classic and E72. unfortunately it is lost from botht the devices.
I have a NOKIA E51 phone.I am transferring my SIM card to a new NOKIA E71.I have dozens of SMS messages (in several folders) on my Nokia E51.I dont want to lose them. I'd much rather keep them. How do I transfer these messages (and folders) onto my new E71 ?Unfortunately, I cant see any way to store them on the SIM card itself.Or is there a way?
I have a Nokia e71 and currently my screen is broken.I've since bought a new phone but would love to get all the messages I'd previously saved. My new phone can sync with the Nokia but only picked up the messages in the inbox/drafts, not the messages I had in my 'saved messages' / 'my folders' whatever its calledIf someone has access to a Nokia e71 it would be great if they would let me know (including how many clicks across, middle button etc as I will be doing this blind!) how to select all messages in my folders and copy them to the inbox.
Every day at 10:30 GMT (without fail) I get a text message from Ovi Nokia App telling about some 'cool app' or other. This is now seriously bugging me - I didn't subscribe to it (my wife uses Ovi Store and doesn't get these messages). I keep thinking I am popular but no, it's just Ovi Nokia App telling what i already know! How do I get rid of it? I have tried to reply and send 'STOP' but it won't let you reply. I can't find anywhere on this site that tells you how to stop it either. I am reaching the point where I now purposely 'lose' my phone at 10:29 GMT and then find it again at 10:31 just to avoid the curse of ovi!
How to recover lost msgs from phone memory of nokia E52. While restoring data memory card to phone memory n vice versa. All my msgs stored in phone memory are lost, means there is no msgs in my inbox of phone memory.. How can I recover that msgs ...
I have a Nokia E52. I have an imap mailbox. It's working well on the phone, BUT when I send an email message, it moves the message to the SENT ITEMS folder of the phone. I would like the sent messages to be uploaded to the imap server into a specified folder, not in the sent items folder on the phone. I don't find this settings.
So, you get a new message, there normally is like a little rectangle, that says ' 1 new messages ' with an envelope, well, I don't get those anymore, Only the little light goes, but there's no notion that I have a new message.
I recently purchased a nokia E7. When I first got it it was fine and would send messages to people however now after the 2nd day owning it, it is refusing to send messages to anyone. This is reguardless of network, though I am on the telstra network.
My ynokia E7 no longer notifies me with the '1 message received' or '1 missed call' message whenever i receive a message or miss a call. the only way i know is the blinking notification light. for messages received, the message alert tone does not ring.
1) When sending text messages the messages go through but some remain in the outbox. They are actually sent, and not waiting for resend. The only option when selecting them is to delete, which removes them from the conversation threads. It doesn't seem to be related to service, but to whether I am using the phone for any other purpose at the time.
2) When connected to a car BT system, shut off car, BT seems to go into a black hole. You can't reconnect, can't make a call (well, it makes a call, but you can't hear anything; can't play music, etc.). The only solution is reboot. This happens with multiple systems in different brands of auto, so not limited to one brnad.
Solution for Transfer msg from phone memory to memory card or memory card to phone memory. If you'r messaging saved settings doesn't work.& This Solution can also help you to transfer old mobile phone sms to new phone.Note: This will work only on any nokia symbian v3.0 or higher version phone.So.. Lets Begin.1. Download ''NetQin Mobile Gaurd'' & Installed it on phone memory.''NetQin Mobile Gaurd'' is best for Exploring System Folder.2. After installing open NetQin App the registration screen appears..Register it.. After registering open ''File mgr'' In main screen. Now explore C:Private1000484BCopy all content of 1000484B folder to a E:Private in Memory Card.If your messaging memory is memory card then explore E:Private1000484B.. Copy all content of 1000484B folder to a C:Private in Phone Memory.Note:-A> Before Copying Folder Turn you'r phone in Offline/Flight Mode & if you have unread msg., read it.B> Some symbian phones doesn't save msg in 1000484B folder. You have to manualy search private folder. For sub-sub folder name ''Mail2'' if you find these (it means that this is your msg saving directory) come one directory back & copy all contents.C> You can save more than 999 msg., simple by creating folders in My folders & moving into that folder.(I have saved 7896 msg in ''My folders'' on my Nokia E71 in phone memory it just use 4.5 MB space)All the best.
What could be the problem with my messaging.i cannot receive international messages on my e63 but i can send international messages. I can receive local and send local plus international but i cant receive international messages.
I have an E63 that is about 4 months old. It stopped opening my text messages a few weeks ago, but I was able to open them again after an hour or so. It has been a few hours and I'm starting to become worried because my phone isn't opening the messages at all. Whenever I click the select button or select "open" from the message menu it acts as if I didn't press any button. I can reply back, and it'll mark it as read, but I cannot personally see the full text message.
I have bought a brand new Nokia E6-00 and I was disapponted when I saw the messages menu. I set the view of messages as "Session View" not the "Inbox View". But the font size is extremely SMALL. I can't read anything easily. So, what I do is to tap on the recieved message and display as "inbox view". Beause inbox view font size can be adjusted. Is there a way to increase the font size of sessions?
I am experiencing a peculiar problem, which I came across NEVER before with any of my other Nokia phones.Below are the details from the *#0000# Screen.Phone: Nokia E5Software Version: 071.003Software Version Date: 20 May, 2011Custom Version: 71.003.C00.01Custom Version Date: 21 May, 2011Language Set: 47.01Model: E5-00Type: RM-632Latest Update: Not UpdatedI haven't been able to open my old texts messages received in the month of August 2011. Of course we all have our own reasons to save the old texts on our phones. I wanted to read a couple of old messages so I try and open them by both methods; using the 5-way controller button and by Options>Open to no avail. While trying to open these old messages, my phone doesn't even give any error message. All that happens is, the text which am trying to open remains highlighted in the inbox. I tried backing up the text messages on my computer. To my surprise, Nokia PC Suite (recently updated version: 7.1.180.46) doesn't even recognize any of these old text messages. It only recognized the 1 month old texts. I fail to understand as to what could be reason behind this
when I turn it on it restarts a few times and then turns off. how can I fix this. have this happened to anyone else? I wont bring it to Nokia care centre.
I could not read my message. While browsed to understand the issue & I was advised to update the firmware from 400.21.13 to 500.21.009.Is there I can update my E63 device software using phone browser? I do understand why I'm not able to open the text messages. I wish not to reformat my phone dialing *#7780# (which I do on most of occasion
