View 3 RepliesMy E7 is 6 months old. The phone has not been damaged in any way but the charging port is faulty. I have tried different chargers and the same problem, , you have to wiggle the lead to make connection. Vodafone told me that this would be a wear and tear issue and therefore not covered under warranty. RUBBISH I say! If it has worn out then the phone is not "fit for purpose" I have spoken to Nokia who have advised me that they are seeing a problem with the charging port on a small number of the E7's. Nokia need to make Vodafone aware of this issue and Vodafone need to start listening to they loyal customer of over 20 years!

Firstly, I was not able to charge the battery. I succeeded after fiddling with the charging point, there were flashes on the screen, but it resumed charging.I was not able to start up the phone - pressing the power button didn't seem to work. Even taking the battery out and re-trying was like a trial and error method. It works, but I have to try more than once.The phone switches off automatically. If there is movement, e.g. walking with the phone in my pocket, it is definitely going to be switched off.If the phone lies unused for a relatively long period of time, e.g. 30 min, the power saver screen hangs up and I have resort to taking the battery out and follow the entire process.This seems to have started all of a sudden without any prior warning.
I have purchased a E6-00 about 4 months back. This phone has a tendency of automatically shutting down. It often shuts down when I am using it. It always shuts down when I keep it idle for a while.I have visited Nokia care twice, once they restore the factory settings. The problem persistedNext time around they upgrade the software to Bell OS. The problem still persists.Their technicians have absolutely no idea about what the problem is and I am stuck up with a defective but expensive handset.

I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but I tried changing the lock code so I could lock my phone, and right as I entered the default 12345 and then it asked me for a new code, I put in the new code and it restarted. I figured it was just the phone updating itself. Then, the phone began restarting randomly, and sometimes it restarts multiple times before it stays put for an hour or two... Only to start the process all over again.When it restarts, the Nokia logo doesn't have the holding-hands thing. The screen turns white, sometimes the Nokia in blue letters appears, but never the hand-holding.I know some people have had this problem with the E5-00 and I'm wondering what I can do. It's only 12 v for god sakes, straight from the car port. By the way the nearest standard size plug is 2.35 mm x 0.7 mm, not Moto made plug!

The phone shuts down when pulled out of a power source though battery status is above 80%. If I plug back the phone into a power supply and restart, I am able to use the phone without any problem. Is my battery dead? It has been about 1.5 years now with this phone. Tried restarting in safe mode as well but the phone still shut down when pulled out of power supply.

I am using the same ones I use to connect to Ovi on my computer and it accepts them OK. Could this be because the previous owner's user name and password have been stored somewhere on the phone and as a security measure it won't let me in with my user name and password?
Does anyone know what I can do to be able to log in to Ovi on my phone so that I can download an application? The one I want at the moment is Sports Tracker so that I can check how many miles I do when going for a walk. I could perhaps find it online and download straight from their website, but I do really need to be able to download things through Ovi if required.
My problem is, when the phone goes in an area where there's no service, the 3G icon shows up in the right top corner, but when I go back to the area that has service, the 3G icon won't go away and I can't make any calls nor receive. only solution is to turn off the phone and turn back on. can you help me about that, how I can receive service again without restarting the phone?
