When i open the Tutorial application in my E72 from Menu-->Help link i see the images for a particular topic but no text is displayed. I can only see the blank boxes and nothing else

My new Nokia E5 Contact List cannot be displayed. I have imported my contacts from my old Nokia 3120 classic unit successfully. The list does not open from any options or anything else.It does not even appear and open with empty contacts.After trying to open the shortcut or the Contacts menu the screen clears and returns to the previous page.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just bought my first smartphone, a Nokia E7-00. I also downloaded the English (and German because I live in Switzerland) user guides. I also managed to download and install the latest software for the E7. So far so good.Both the user guides (Eng. & German) for the E7 (Bella) keep mentioning some kind of icon which looks like this:

(I will call it "that icon")
This is apparently the icon for some kind of Menu. From there I should be able to e.g.
Select "that icon" > Contacts
[code]....
But on my E7 I do not have any icon that looks like that anywhere, nor do I have a button called "Menu" (which the Nokia website mentions e.g. as "Select Menu > Applications"..Izam at my wits end.When I switch it on, the E7 shows the signal strength and my Provider at top left, the antenna, a battery shape and the battery strength at top right, a "Go to Music", then beneath that, a globe, a square white box, an envelope and four heads (which wants to connect me to Facebook etc). lower down is "New Mailbox" (with Ovi etc), Phone Setup which doesn't offer me any options apart from the ringtones etc and images and at the very bottom Options ooo Call. The Options only allows me to see open applications, edit home screen, change wallpaper etc.
've recently bought a nokia E72 after losing my E71 and I'm really disappointed with this mobile phone. I share most of the problems shared by most of the users. Messy software, awful sound, horrible build quality with lights comig from everywhere. But lately I found another problem with my mobile. When I create a new message, in the messaging menu, I don't have the option to create a MMS message. All the options I have are ''message (sms) / audio message / avatar sms / e-mail''. No signs of MMS creation option. I tried to uninstall the ''avatar sms'' software to check if the MMS menu would appear but still nothing. I've check the MMS settings and all the settings are ok, but still nothing in the messagin menu to create a MMS.

I even tried to launch from nokia store link but nothing. It is also not shown in my already installed applications under settings . But I have paid for the application, I have used it once on my cell phone , but it has now disappeared.

When I got it the main menu was there and I was able to switch between personal and professional Modi.Then I restored contacts etc from a backup from when it ran 071.014.Now it is impossible to switch btw. pers. and prof. modi. Even when I click the prof. modi it stays "personal".furthermore, the icons on the first page has disappeared, and it is no longer possible to add any in the modi menu, (there is no "data window" in the Program shorcuts entry, so there is no way to add entries).

Why not?Also, if I try to bring up traffic information, it tells me that I need to pay for a licence. I thought this was all supposed to be free now. View 6 Replies View RelatedI have activated predictive text and just wonder if I am using it correctly, when I type a word it shows a suggestion in grey. If I want to accept I simply press space and teh word is filled in for me. However, if I don't want the suggestion what is the best way to continue without the suggestion being applied? At the moment I press backspace to remove the suggestion, then space to continue typing. Is this the only way to not accept the suggested word?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI removed my memory card to upload some pics to my computer cause my usb port does not work anymore and since I didn't get around to doing this quickly, I've been using the phone without the memory card. It has been a week and not one instance of freezing up. I put my card in about 2 hours ago just to see if it was fixed and it just now froze again. This obviously is not a solution but it leads me to believe that probably an app or some misc thing on my card is causing this. There is plenty of memory left on the card by the way. Now if I could only find the right settings to install hotmail, rocketmail (yahoo), ovi and gmail mail boxes. I have the issue where the mail boxes never appear after setup.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an E63 that is about 4 months old. It stopped opening my text messages a few weeks ago, but I was able to open them again after an hour or so. It has been a few hours and I'm starting to become worried because my phone isn't opening the messages at all. Whenever I click the select button or select "open" from the message menu it acts as if I didn't press any button. I can reply back, and it'll mark it as read, but I cannot personally see the full text message.

I tried backing up the text messages on my computer. To my surprise, Nokia PC Suite (recently updated version: 7.1.180.46) doesn't even recognize any of these old text messages. View 4 Replies View RelatedI am on T-mobile with an E7.When I try and text my friend with Verizon the message gets broken up and spaced out L I K E t h is.And usually the whole message never displays. This happened twice on two different Verizon phones. One after a while was fine again sending messages normally while the other one still has the problem. Ive tried resetting the phone (power off power on) deleting contact, sending text in threaded and single message reply. I have also updated the phone to the most recent software as of March 15, 2011 6:45 PM.

It doesn't happen consistently enough for me to get into the habit of always looking at the icon and it's really annoying. What's more, if I *did* want a capital letter, and have held the shift key down, I get a lower case letter!
