My phone keeps showing the icon but when I try to update it says that no updates are available. I've tried anything I can think of (restarting the phone, connecting to a PC with OVI suite and re-updating the system from there) with no results. The icon it's always there, ad it seems there to stay.

I'm often getting this icon and I can't understand why. It causes problems as sometimes (when the icon is displayed) I can't answer my calls. Does anyone know why this happens and how to stop it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia E7's Maps claims to be v3.09 12wk09 b05, MW OpenGL MN, Map version 0.2.47103 and 'SW Update' in checking for the latest improvements for (the) Nokia E7-00, says "Good news. Your E7-00 is already fully up-to-date."
Just before a weekly backup through Nokia Suite 3.6.36, I notice an opportunity to update the maps and, silly me, I decided to cheese the 'All' option erroneously thinking I'd have success updating 1,800+MB of map data; needless to say, at around 950MB or so, the error message of 'unrecoverable download error' or something to that effect left me with fewer maps than with which I began, including my local neighborhood!I attempted (several times) to download the map covering my local area and, when I tapped on the little red dot that show my current location, the surrounding vicinity is blank with the exception of several stars showing some of my Favorites.
Tapping the '-' to zoom out, however, reveals what appears to be street lines on half of the screen. Sure enough, there are some 'distant' Favorites, complete with streets but no street names except for major highways. Scrolling around leads to a screen freeze and even the lower left-hand 'x' to close fails as does any other attempt to close or even move to a different home screen. Closing the E7 and flipping it back open does nothing. Holding down the power button gives me three short, quick vibrations and then again gives me a reboot.
Back in Maps shows I have no maps at all; however, I can access Favorites in other countries. Downloading a map for the area where I live takes me back to my original dilemma where my current location is shown, but the surrounding vicinity is blank with the exception of several stars showing some of my Favorites, including those in different countries; however, even there not all streets/street names appear.Deleting that previously downloaded map and downloading it again makes no difference.
I'm in the process of running software updates on the fleet of E51 mobile phones we use here at work.I've got to the very last mobile, and although it is running 200.34.36, it is not allowing me to update it to the latest 400. series version as per the other ~10 mobiles i have done.(I have done all prior updates including this one through the Nokia Suite v3.4.49.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy E7 on Symbian Anna, has since the update and in last 10 days started to suddenly restart - sometimes as many as 6 times during a short span of time. This happens on not on all days, and sometimes even when it is on standby.Today I happened to note that F Secure screen was coming after sudden restar and then back to restart again. Now it is stable and I saw that F secure was showing update to anti theft as of 28/9/11.So I am suspecting that may be F Secure causes the restart while updating.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince the Market App was updated to ver. 3.1.5 on my htc Desire, that when I get a new message in the notification area that there are updates for any of my20 Apps and clicking on updates it goes straight into My apps but no updates are showing only installed apps so don't know what apps need to be updated, or if already updated it does not say what app was updated.On clicking on all my apps there is no ticks in any of the Automatic Update boxes! Before the update to ver. 3.1.5 you could see what apps needed to be updated and why and had a choice if you wanted it updated or not

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhen i receive an sms it only shows the number that send it, but that number is in my contactlist. I would expect that it would show the contact name. All sms message so far show only the number, except from 1 person. But i cannot figure out why it is not matching up the rest. I tried different phonenumber possibilities to put in the contact: I tried: erasing the contact, and add it via the sms menu option(add to contacts) erasing all sim contact to have no duplicates. upgrading to the latest firmware version. rebooting the phone,remove battery,add batterij, restart but nothing seem to fix the issue. Another symptom is that when sending an sms to a person it shows the contact list name in the sent items, but when that person replies the inbox shows again only the number.
View 3 Replies View Relatedthe gallery app which was included isn't showing any pictures, which is extremly annoying, because many apps, like facebook apps, just show a black screen when I select "upload from gallery" If I open up the Gallery app the screen is just black and no pictures are displayed, only the exit and option buttons. Same problem is with the video app... I've already reseted it three times, but still no change.... And the crazy thing is, that with the photo browser app I'm able to see the pictures... Also there's a problem with switching the ring and alarm-tone. Exactly the same thing, I Do have music on my phone and the player is working... But I can't choose another tone for alarmtone, won't open fricking folder.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm hopping this turn out to be something amazingly simple, something I've accidentally touched or selected. It wasn't on purpose if it was. For some reason, text notifications are no longer appearing on the bottom left corner of my screen. Instead, they are now appearing up on the top right by my battery indicator. This is more than a little inconvenient as it's so much smaller than the bottom left option making it harder to touch correctly. Is there any way I can change it back to the bottom left again?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an 8 month old Nokia E7 in good condition however just this afternoon when ever I recieve or send a text message instaed of showing what I have written on screen OR what the reply message reads it shows a number instead along with the time i.e. 8: 17.45 I have deleted all messages in the sent items and inbox as wondered if it was because i had a few in there, I also rebooted the ph 3 times, removed and replaced sim card each time but the same thing keeps happening.Have sent my phone messages from 3 other numbers just to make sure it wasnt 1 number causing it and all come up with the same thing.

And always showing lock code error. I already used the lock code option for restarting phone. I changed the default 12345 to 543215 and the feature is working smoothly until 3 days before. Now what happened is that phone is not allowing any of the codes. I try 543215, 12345, 0000 everything I knew. But in vein. I cannot use my phone anymore.

But since it kept draining the battery, I deleted it by highlighting the application and pressing the delete button.It was successful in removing the application but then unfortunately the wifi icon on the top is always on.Does this mean my wifi is always on? And my phone E72 bugged somehow and the tiny icon when your text messages are being sent out is still there and won't disapear.The icon is just a tiny up arrow with a small bracket under it. I checked the ways to download it, like at Ovi Store, but I still found no trace. I haven't really cared about it until recently because I thought E5s didn't have them.
