I would like to inform you that i have purchased nokia c6 from bangalore on dt 05/06/2011 but, now, since last 3-4 days i am facing problem with this devices. It's stop showing anything on it's screen but mobile is working. We can't see anything except black screen.And sometimes it's work properly and suddenly stop showing anything on it's screen. what happen to my new cell and what step i should take?
View 5 RepliesWell, 2 days ago my screen had developed a small black semi-circle with almost entire screen covered in light transparent brown semi-circle. Now with a day of little use, the entire screen has turned bluish. I can hardly see anything today.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia C7-00 that was purchased SIM free and unbranded in Germany, with which I'm experiencing distinct colour banding / gradient problems. It is also common on Nokia N8 displays. I'll try to describe my problem:The first tell tale sign of the issue seems to be a common one: A purplish tint on the top half of the screen saver clock (visible when the phone is keylocked and then the menu key is pressed).As time has passed by since first noticing this problem- I have also noticed that videos and images that are predominantly dark are also having issues being displayed properly. The effect being similar to if the image was being shown on a screen with limited colours, for example, if you set your computer screen to display only 16bit colours. In areas of images that black is supposed to fade into lighter colours, the image is completely off.
I have contacted Nokia care and they have no input other than re-installing my firmware (which is impossible to do anyway- as they seem to have provided me with inaccurate instructions- there is no way to re-install my firmware via Ovi Suite or the handset)I've since moved away from Germany and from what I understand my 2 year warranty is only valid in Europe...
Attachment 1 is supposed to be black to white squares in increasing gradient
Attachment 2 is supposed to be black into white, but on my display somehow a brown/purple tint is in between the black and white
Attachment 3 is the screensaver clock that is supposed to be black, but on my screen the top half is displayed with a purple hue

I have same problem with my C7-00. It was working properly to display all caller id names those are stored with country code using + sign. I came from India to Singapore, changed my SIM, still it was working. After upgrading it with ANNA, it has stopped displaying names in calls, but works for SMS !!
There is no Duplication issue.
When I opened call with Nokia, surprisingly, I was told that this is a new issue they are having. But I am seeing so many people are struggling with it. I used *#7780# & *#7370#, but still same, problem is not resolved.
To c heck if it is subscriber issue, I put my SIM in another same model C7-00, which is still not upgraded with ANNA & there it works. Nokia supporter does not have solution to back to old software.
Just bought a C3-00. It only has English, Franch and Spanish (in the phone language option). How to make it display and type Chinese? The C3-00 is S40 system, only can install JAVA Apps.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have started having problems with my N96, i've had since January 2009 and have had no problems until now.
The screen has started sticking when entering the menus, internet, games etc. It becomes distorted and fuzzy. It seems to have a tendancy to turn purple and green in places.
I have already done the master reset on the phone and downloaded the most recent software (as recommended by Voda when I took the phone into them today) but it hasn't worked and I am still getting the same problem.
I hope someone can help me on this, After updating my phone to v31.01.101 my screen goes all lines and blurry, cant see any display at all, ive scanned the internet and noticed a lot of others had it too, (firmware fault), ive tried to update it to V5, but it wont go any higher than what ive got now , is there a fix for the screen?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently done a factory reset & software reinstallation (which seems to have improved the erratic autorotate behaviour).However, my gmail emails no longer appear on the home screen (although they are syncing as I can access them in the Email app.).I've searched through various settings but can't get them to appear.
I noticed that phone works when the screen is illuminated, but when display light goes out screen freezes.I can not answer calls. I can not turn off reminder.When I press lock button (lock switch) the screen lights up and working fine until display light goes out.If I turn light off with lock switch I do not have that problem. I have V 22.0.110 and auto. keyguard on off.The problem with the screen freezing is very annoying if I forget to press lock button.

The company has recently presented us with Nokia E71 phones.How do you display your own number on your phone.Not how do you find it but display it on the screen so that it is always there.I have seen ideas like create a new profile and call it your number...or place it in contacts either as first number or own number.It would be nice to have it permanently displayed on the home screen or a one touch key that popped it onto the screen when required.God knows the number of time I've been asked my mobile (and there is a couple of them) and can't remember it.
So you need to fish the phone out unlock and trawl around looking for it.Ideal solution would be pop phone out press one key and number is present.Even if there is a piece of software which will allow this or creation of a screensaver with the number on it would be preferable to fishing around looking for the number.I mean with all the technology available to us in mobile phones today you think there would be a simple option to display own number.

Can call out,can receive calls, but, can't view screen. Removed battery, for whole night, put back in. Sim card is fine...still...blank screen.

View 6 Replies View RelatedBy mistake I forgot to switch off my nokia C2 03 and removed the battery. After putting the recharged battery the screen appears white. Once switched on it does not get switch off. It does not charge the battery i.e. charging is not shown and white screen appears and after keeping the phone for 30 min nokia sound come with a logo of the same for 2 sec then mobule witches off. On attaching the charger the charging does not hoccur i.e. no sound of the charger being attached heard. On trying to switch on the phone it does not get switch on. Only after removing the batttery it gets switch on with a white screen. I tried this 5 times after removing memory card and sim card but result is the same. I had dropped the mobile from my hand before 2 days but its function were well till the battery removal. Kindly guide what is the like problem i.e. with damaged LED on some software problem. I bought the phone in Sept 2011 and is under warranty period.

On the display I a large icon showing my battery life and signal, my network providor name, a really large time display and a slightly smaller date. View 3 Replies View RelatedI got this phone for a relative and it arrived today. After setting it up, transferring contacts over and making it easy for her I'm stuck on this simple option. I've looked for over 30 minutes and searched all over using various keywords but I can't find a single answer. Where do you find the display timeout setting on this phone?! It defaults to something stupidly short like 10 seconds when it should be around 30 seconds at least. How fast do they think people read text messages? If I can't change this setting I don't think they'll want to keep the phone which is a shame as it looks quite nice in general.
