i got a nokia c6-00 and noticed that my phone has a total of 120mb but 25mb free, how can i free up some more memory, and also noticed that my phone came with a lot of applications i dont need, like nokia store, qt, quick office, psiloc traveller, Internet, twitter, bloomberg and much more, how and can i uninstall some of this applications without damage being done to my phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe increase (top one) volume button on the side of the phone does not work. The decrease volume button work fine. For example, I open up media player, put on an mp3, but it is too low to be able to hear so I click the volume button to increase it but it just does nothing. I have threw my Blackberry once or twice in frustration since I got it for Christmas. I imagine this might have something to do with the fault but I don't know for sure.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a new C6-01 (and first-time Nokia owner) and having trouble with getting maps restored onto a new 32GB uSDHC card and need some help.
It is my understanding that I can backup and restore all my phone contents and settings to a new memory card using Nokia Suite. So what I did is performed a complete backup using Nokia Suite, ejected the old uSD card (that came with the phone), put in the new uSD card that I had purchased and format it, then performed a complete restore to the phone and the new memory card.
During the restore, I saw errors on the phone display that said something like disk write error and gave me the option of stop or retry. I hit the retry a few times and still getting the error. Thinking it may be a bad uSD card, I returned/exchanged for another identical one. With the 2nd new card, I still get the same error message so I rebooted the phone and ran restore again but this time instead of restore everything all at once, I selected a few items at a time and eventually got everything restored, at least without errors this time.
When I ran maps after the restore, it told me that I needed to download the maps, and when I tried to download it thru a WiFi connection (at my house), I keep getting Disk error - cannot complete write. Retry or data will be lost. At this point if I run Files, it will show drive E but not any free space number (and selecting it will show free space not available). A reboot will bring back drive E and show 29.4GB free. So I am completely stumped at this point and believe that for whatever the reason I can not get maps loaded onto a non-Nokia-provided memory card.
I am running Nokia Suite 3.5.34 on WIndows XP w/SP3. The new 32GB uSDHC card is a class 4 card made by Sandisk. The phone is running the Belle Refresh v111.040.1511 dated 7/28/2012. Map version: v3.09 12wk20 b01-MW OpenGL MN-Map version 0.2.46.103
for the large amount of information posted here, but I wanted to provide enough details for you to look at.
Recently i downloaded some themes from ovistore.it got automatically installed to memorycard.But now when i take gallery,photos and videos on my phone with new theme appllied it takes more time,especially when the screen rotates.Why this happens?this problem doesn't occur with preintalled theme.

All my contacts, messages, stuff from my gallery were all gone. There's no "inbox" in my messaging. No ovi. In my internet menu there's just home, browser and web services. EVERYTHING from my phone memory were gone and some of the phone's features too.

The update cannot be performed using WIFI.The phone displays the confirmation message: "You are about to connect to the internet. ..." When I confirm this, it tries "Connecting to Nokia", but as there is "No network connection." it is unable to download anything. This occurs every time I try to use the feature.During the connection the phone displays the G icon denoting that it tries to connect using GPRS.

my phone all of a sudden froze on me so I turned it off to see if it would sort itself out but instead I lost all my settings and applications including my inbox, calculator and I lost all my games, contacts the lot the only thing I didnt lose was my pictures and music which was on my memory card. I phoned nokia several times which was no help and have read through forums with no luck. I downloaded nokia suite but nothing. It is so frustrating How would I go about getting my inbox extra back?
