how to disable this notification which pops up every few minutes I use the phone..Its very irritating. It is titled 'Choose your connection' and the option is :"search for wlan".. I have tried all the setting changes but this thing never stops...

However, when I visit the website clevertanken.de (a site for viewing current gasoline prices), Iīm stuck - it seems that an advertisement popup opens when I click on the site and I canīt close it, so Iīm stuck on that popup and when I donīt want to go where it wants to link, thereīs no way to go on...How can I turn that off?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using a G4 H815 and recently I noticed that the Gmail app (yes, official) sometimes only notifies me about new inbox mails a few minutes after they were received, usually 1-3 minutes. I didn't notice this issue until yesterday when I placed my G4 with my Nexus pad side by side and Nexus always notifies me *instantly*, by which I mean if I open a web browser on my computer and compose an email to my gmail account and hit the send button, in less than a second the Nexus will beep, while G4 only tells me this new email after a few minutes.
It is not the notification sound issue, then phone simply sits there without telling me anything until a few minutes have passed. And I also noticed that if I keep my phone alive by using it, then the delay between email incoming and notification is significantly shorter most of the time.
I think ever since the 5.1.1 update, my S6 has been randomly vibrating every few minutes without a notification?
Should I factory reset?
I have a galaxy s5, set the notification noise for text to repeat every 2 minutes, its not doing it though. When I get a text it just makes the noise once, thats it .Why and how to change this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using my Nokia C5-00 for about a year now without any problems. Recently however, it started to show wrong time (like it was going too fast). The offset is usually about 15-30 minutes forward. Initially I thought that its just few seconds per minute faster than it should be (like a normal mechanism watch) and I tried to explain it with processor clock being somehow off, but I noticed that it must at one point just skip these several minutes.
I've never spotted this "skipping" explicitly but it happens once per 10-15 hours, I guess. E.g. it shows proper time the whole day and when I go to sleep but next morning its off several minutes. It happens both with automatic time update On and Off. I haven't updated my software for a couple of months now, but the one I got is up to date (according to Ovi).
I have just moved from LG touch (hated it) to a very basic Nokia 2220. Previously had Samsung before.
With the 2220, when I receive a text I have set the tone I want however I cannot find if this phone will allow the tone to sound after every two minutes. All my previous phones have had this facility which I like as if you don't hear the notification sound at first it alerts you every two minutes.Is it just this phone or are all Nokia's like this?
know how to disable 3g on nokia c3-01? I only see Pack. Data conn - when needed. I would like to disable 3g entirely and use just GSM.

View 14 Replies View RelatedLast night my phone started notifying me of SMS messages by a new pop up at the bottom of my screen. I use Hangouts and couldn't find anything in the settings in there so I switched over the the standard android messaging. I turned off all notifications and the pop up still was coming every time I received a message. This almost appears like is a system notification, since it is the same style as other pop ups. (ie: "copied to clipboard" when you take a screenshot) I have attempted to attach a screen shot of the notification. Hopefully it worked. How to disable this notification? Nothing has worked yet.

In Menu/Settings/Connectivity/Packet Data/Packet data conn./ I only have 2 selections "When needed" or "Always online", what is missing is "Never". The trouble is there are lots of internet accessing options within the phone menu system that use the internet and if you accidentally select one it will go "online" without asking.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis seems to be an issue with lollipop, as the G3 and the Samsungs have it too. My phone will sometimes (not every time) beep when it has reached 100% battery. This happens in the middle of the night while I'm sleeping, so it wakes me up.
I have my phone setup so that it will not disturb me. No notifications unless its from a friend. But will sound any clock alarms I have setup. Any way to turn off the battery charge notification?
Some people in other forums state that using the included charger fixes this. It does not. I tried it and it still beeps. It is also not consistent, as some nights it will not beep. Turning down the volume all the way down is also not an option, as I need the clock alarm.
Why on earth does my phone have to tell me practically every time I bring it out of sleep that I'm low on memory transfer SD. I know I know!, I have nearly 2gig of space left on my internal memory, I could understand it if was only 200mb, if I can't fill up that last two gig without getting such harrasmemt from my phone then why even state that the phone has 16gig internal ram if use 2gig of it?

I need it to display the number of unread emails on the icon (I think the little circled number is called a badge?), but do NOT want my phone making a notification sound every time an email comes in. This is really annoying in the middle of the night, especially when it's from spam emails.
When I go into the email app, and choose <menu> --> Settings --> <email account name> --> Notifications --> Notification Sound, a list of folders at /storage/emulated/0 appears instead of a list of tone sounds and a None option. I don't know what to do at this point to disable the notification sound.
So far, I haven't found a way to disable Sim 2 from the notification bar or text. I'd love to disable it completely so it acts like a single sim phone.
