View 1 RepliesI am having a problem with my new Nokia 5230. The offline search does not work in OVI Maps. I installed the newest version 3.03 and uploaded the maps of my country (the Netherlands) to the phone. I am able to pick a direction while using the map itself but when i enter an address in the search bar it give the error: no offline results found.Maps is in offline modus because of my subscription without internet.tried entering just the streetname, streetname and city, streetname city and country, different streets.
View 16 Replies View RelatedYou really should be able to input stuff like "corner of x and y street", and also be able to drag route points on the screen on the web version. It's actually quite hard to use to find what you want sometimes.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI think I have broken Ovi Maps search. The problem happened when I chose to clear device. Settings ->task manager -> clear device
Ovi maps then failed to return any kind of search results even as general as Stuttgart to as precise as street names. I then proceeded to reflash to PR1.2 using flasher 3.5.exe and reflashed the vanilla eMMC as found in maemo dev repository. The problem persists. Even after loading some maps using the Map Loader, the problem persists. I think I have cleared some indexing capability of the device.
In 3.01 I click on the search (magnifier glass icon) and I am presented with the option address, how do I do this in 3.04?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI just loaded Nokia maps 3.01 for Nokia with upgraded firmware to 2.0 version (sic!) and I see that offline search for address always find no results. Is that because this tricky way of map load with out map loader? Or something may be wrong?
View 7 Replies View RelatedMaps (v3.09) on a nokia C7 worked fine until the last couple of weeks. Startup and positioning are OK. When I try to search for a destination though, the application crashes. Repeatedly. I can't think of anything I did lately (settings changes or new installs) that might have caused this. On the older threads regarding this issue, the best solution seemed to be updating the suite.
View 1 Replies View RelatedManaged to get all my old 120 favorites on N8 syncd to Nokia maps from [URL] Now, how do I search within the favorites? It just lists them in alphabetical order and no option to sort or search. If I display the favs on maps it is very slow and names do not appear?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do I search for a place by coordinates in Nokia maps? I have the latest version 2.5. The customer support says there multiple formats to use like:N59.4071 E17.778259,4071 17,7782But neither of this works for me. The first one gives "No result found", the second one gives a hit on the street Carrera 59 in Colombia, on the other side of the earth.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIts been a year now since I have been using C7-00. For the first time I am facing this problem. THe problem is that the contact search is not working ie, when I open the dialer and enter some numbers, the phone does not search any contacts with those alphabets. The same was working fine few days back. Just wonder what happened to it.The contact search option in the settings is switched ON.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThank you Nokia for making maps free. We really love you for that. But I've already found the first serious bug. Even if you have downloaded maps to the phone (N97 mini), you can't search for addresse and places in offline mode. The old version could that.If you browse with your finger and browse through places, you will find everthing, but when searching freetext for places and addresses in offline mode, no result are shown.Guess Nokia will have to fix this soon. The workaround is of course to use online mode.
View 19 Replies View Relatedthis may have been covered already but I'm new here (is that an excuse?).I can't get any search results with ovi maps on or offline, constantly say `No Results Found'. By manually searching the map I can then start navigation that but not by searching. At the moment I am reinstalling he maps via the map loader to see if that works.

I recently updated my C7 software to Symbian ANNA and now the MAPS Application is not even showing on my device. I already tried several times to download the United States Maps from OVI Suite but after 2 hours or so, will display "download failed".
View 19 Replies View RelatedMy C5 keeps re-booting whenever I'm in OVi MapsIts quite annoying as I cant use GPS navigation anymore.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a C5 model with GPS support. It includes a Map of Spain-Portugal, but I can't download any other Map. I have tried using the maps option in the Nokia Ovi suite, but it indicates that there aren'r maps available for this model.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter updating Ovi (Nokia) Maps, I am unable to start the maps application. I get the following error message: "Unplug the USB for using maps".Until now I had been using Maps offline without any problem - and any USB cable.(I would not think, that it's a service provider problem)
My Nokia C7 (C7-00 RM-675) uses 022.014 version of Anna, and the maps related installed application are the next:

I have nokia 700 i have a different problem with nokia maps, by mistake i uninstalled the nokia maps and now when im trying to install again OTA, it says something went wrong and closes from ovi store. i tried opening the same in OVI suite and it says that the files / folders are broken. i tried to format the mass storage and also did a hard reset, but nothing seems to work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn my Nokia Maps I wait for a long time but it doesn't show me my position both in both online services and offline services of Maps. And when I search for my position in Google Maps it show me instantly can anyone help me out I have downloaded latest version of India>Maharastra/Goa maps on my C5-03.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia 5230 (RM-588) with firmware 20.0.005 and Ovi Maps 3.04. Memory card is Kingston 8GB. I downloaded maps that I needed and everything is working OK from that point.
Here is the problem: I search for an address (offline), Ovi Maps finds it, I rename it and save it to Favourites. I repeat that with some other addresses. Then I turn off the Ovi Maps and navigation and after I start it again, my folder Favourites - Places is empty. Any idea why the Favourites are not saved ?
First off, let me apologize in advance if what I'm about to ask has already been answered (I did a search, but I didn't find anything helpful)OK, so I got a new shiny N95, updated firmware to 31.0.015, installed OVI maps 3.0, so on and so forth. The phone works fine, but I'm having some problems with the maps.
Whenever I try to search for an address I get a (very) brief "searching online" progress bar, but every time I get "no results found", regardless if I'm searching for a full address or just a city.
Well, the title explains the situation best. Many people have encountered this same problem and most of them had the problem solved with a few exceptions. I guess I fall in the exceptions category.
I bought a C5-03 last month. I am planning to visit the UK and my flight is tomorrow. So I downloaded the map the whole UK with voice files for female voice and with street names, just a few days ago. I didn't install any app since then and didn't even connect to the internet with the phone. I used the system for few hours in total and got acquainted. Last night, when I entered Ovi Maps, it just closed after 3~5 seconds, without giving any chance to select any menu or option.
I browsed for solutions on the net but none of them worked. So far I have tried formatting the memory card, restoring factory settings, reinstalling phone software through Nokia suite 3.4 but none of them seems to work. Someone claimed the problem to be solved through reinstalling the OVI Maps software, but I couldn't even find any entry for Ovi Maps on my phone, neither on applications manager nor with other uninstallers.
i m facing map problem in c7 after updating ..its telling to disconnect USB to use map when i m not using usb,it came after updating maps
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia C5-03 with the latest firmware, and now I managed to free 18MB of the phone memory, but when I try to determine a destination without tolls and with optimized routing for a distance of 300 km between the two cities it always says that the memory is full and to close some applications. When I use the navigation the only thing that is on is the Bluetooth but even when I turn it off it happens the same thing. Sometimes the phone restarts itself.

Is there a known issue with the Search Screen Keyboard not hiding itself when you leave the search screen in IOS 5.1.1? Ever since I upgraded, if I go to the search screen, then flick the screen back to the first Aps page, the keyboard stays there in the middle of the screen and I have to click the off button off and on again.
