Cseries :: How To Remove Midnight Theme In Nokia C6-01
Aug 23, 2011
Today, when I connected to Nokia OVI Suite, it prompted me to update the phone software. I did it. After that, midnight theme is applied. I dint like it. How to remove this theme ?
I have tried to find a solution in google search but could not find one.
Sounds ok but alas no. It always connects around midnight, I presume something is trying to update. As I have no free net usage is costs me £1 per night. I have had the phone for around 2 months and this has started since i had the phone, the only thing I have installed is the network provider info, no apps or nothing. My service provider says there is nothing wrong their end and it must be the phone, they have cut off my internet and the charges have stopped, so something is definitely trying to connect, but as I have said the phone is standard. I cannot find any reference to anyone else having the same problem on the internet, I have downloaded kaspersky anti virus and it has scanned my phone and says there are no viruses.
I know that Nokia C6 has got very low processing speed and ram. Is there any option to remove dafault applications like cnn video,friendster,Hi5,slidesshow.Nokia doesnt release a new software update for nokia C6, then why dont they alteast provide us some option to remove those unused apps?
Recently i downloaded some themes from ovistore.it got automatically installed to memorycard. But now when i take gallery, photos and videos on my phone with new theme appllied it takes more time, especially when the screen rotates. Why this happens?this problem doesn't occur with preintalled theme.
How do i remove chat from my home screen in the horizontal icon bar theme?I can adjust my shortcuts but am missing the option 'home screen applications'?
Phone loses any data connection (wi-fi/3g/edge/...) when screen is turned off everyday starting midnight till morning! That's very annoying - I need my messenger to be online even after midnight.

I can't remove installed applications, and I can't use the Installed applications menu at all. I can open Menu >> Settings >> Application mgr. >> Installed apps. but from there nothing is working. When I try to make a bigger scroll I have dropped back immediately to the Application mgr. menu. When I push the Options in the Installed apps. menu I get the following message: App. manager: Memory full. Close some applications and try again.I don't have any opened applications. A widget on my home screen said, there is 39 MB free RAM, and there is 189 MB free space on my C: drive. It should be more than enough for anything what this phone can run...How can I remove and set up applications not using the Installed applications menu?My another biggest problem is Ovi. I purchased the "application" called AirSpace, it was listed as a compatible application with my phone. It's just not working at all. Later I checked the reviews, there is only one poeple who said "It's working". I'm almost 100% sure that was one of the "developer" of this "application"... I reported it to the Ovi Store, and demanded refund. There was no answer. I tried the application again after a software update, it went wrong in the same way. I reported it again. Not a word from the store...how can I get my money back, and how can I make this fake app remove from the Ovi?
When trying to remove the Animated SMS application from application manager on my C5-03, I get the message "File could not be removed" and then nothing is removed. How can I remove this application ?
I was wondering, how can I remove the EDGE symbol on my Nokia C5 when I'm connected to the internet? Is it possible at all? The reason is because I'm using the internet a lot and it annoys me. With some application maybe?
I put clock to my content in Nokia C6 so that now i see clock in my home screen but i can't remove it . i can add and remove other contents but clock don't remove.
i have a problem with my c3, when i remove the battery, i lose my date and hour configuration. i activated the automatic update and the problem still exist, what should i do?
I have a problem with E52, 033.002 software. Let's say I set the theme to the one I have installed on memory card. Everything looks fine untill I want to charge my phone. Then, the theme switches automatically to completely different one (light blue like) and sometimes doesn't switch back if I disconnect the charger - I have to set it up manually again. Even if it happens that the theme is the right one after disconnecting the charger, I have to set up the background image again, which is reset to "default".When I use themes installed in phone memory everything works fine. The workaround I can do is to copy the theme from the card to phone mem (don't know how), or to change something in the phone soft to avoid changing theme.Does anybody have some idea?
I am really fed up of seeing others with android phones having fancy effects in their GUI.I am loyal customer of Nokia and Nokia N8 is my 4th phone (3310, 6600, N81, N8) because of quality, durability and user friendliness.I also would like to have Fancy GUI in Nokia smart phones.
I'm looking for a theme that replaces the Anna style icons from my N8 and replaces them with how it used to look.Ovi told me that there was an update available for my N8 with improved features so I downloaded and installed it. What it didn't tell me was that it would replace all of my icons with something that makes it look like a kids toy. I don't want pretty rounded icons that all look virtually the same but in different colours, I want standard icons. I want a picture of a spanner for settings, I want a picture of a calculator for calculator, I want a picture of a calendar for calendar and so on.Is there a downloadable theme that replaces these childish looking icons for the original ones? The N8 is a telephone, not something made by Fisher-Price......
When I change the theme to 'Shortcuts bar' and go back into 'Homescreen' I am given 5 options to display. Shortcuts, Search, Music Player, Radio and Calendar. However, only 'Shortcuts' and 'Search' actually work, and it doesn' event allow for E-mail notification as an option. Any work arounds/fixes for this problem, or am I doing something wrong?
I just got my phone back from service after having some software problems. It seems to work fine now, except for the fact that the guys from service reinstalled symbian for the black and red version and thus my theme now is red stripes, red etc... My phone is the blue and white(5530) version and I would preffer to have the blue theme. The red theme just doesn't cut it for the blue/white phones.
I HAVE S A NOKIA 5800 EXPRESS MUSIC AND WHEN I GO TO SETTINGS ₪ PERSONAL ₪ THEMES IT OPENS FOR LESS THAN A SECOND AND SHUT DOWN AS IF IT CRASHRED OR SOMTHING AND RESTART!!IVE JUST UPDATED THE SOFTWARE TO 40. First time the phone hanged, I needed to hard reset it, to enter the phone. Now it hanged while I was swtiching theme.
I hard resetet it, and began from the begining again. Although, next time I turned the mobile on, it didn't go further than the white background with the Nokia text.
There is no point to do the procedure again, and I'm sure if I manage to enter the phone again, I will have feature problems with it.
i saw many videos on Internet showing where different and more striking effects that bring symbian belle. even in the video of the new fp2 effects are better.
I have two N8 phones. On my first N8, I did the Anna update. I now have two sets of "midnight" themes on this phone, one set that looks like it did before, and one set that has a symbol at the right of the theme name that sort of looks like a coffee cup. For the themes with the "coffee cup" symbol to the right of the theme name, all the theme icons have been modified to something a bit fancier than the original. What does the "coffee cup" symbol mean? My newest N8 was recently updated to Anna. It only has the old-style themes named "midnight color-name". The icons for the themes still look like they did before the Anna update. How can I get this fancier theme icons on my other N8? If it's simply a matter of downloading the new, full and complete Nokia "midnight" themes for the N8 phone with Anna, where do I go to get them? I've searched all over, and found lots of "midnight" themes, but not the ones I'm looking for (which apparently were installed on one of my phones as part of the Anna Update.
there i have currenly update my Nokia XPressMusic to FW 50.0.005. The update works well, but after restart of phone i lost my theme and the default symbian S60 Theme is started (light blue touch). I think this is not correct and want go into Settings to Change the Theme back to my Settings (default skin when i have buyed it, with changed background). But i can go into Settings > Personal -> Themes. I see the menu points now in Themes for 1-2 seconds and it goes back to the view of Personal. I hope i have named the menu points correct, because i have german as language. Details from *#000#: - Softwareversion: V 50.0.005 - Datum d.
