Jul 16, 2011My uncle wants to transfer his contacts and messages from his mobile to his PC. I know the 6070 supports PC Suite but he said that for some reason, PC Suite isn't working with it. He has tried another program called Mobile Media Browser which did work but he can only transfer ringtones and images, not contacts or messages. He has contacted the local Nokia retailer and they said that the only way to get it working with PC Suite is to wipe the memory off his phone so he wants to save his contacts and messages in a safe place before he does that.

May 3, 2012Currently I'm not able to use a more advanced device than this Willcom WS011SH from 2007; it runs Win Mobile 6 Classic, lists below that CE OS 5.2.1433 (Build 17936.0.3.0) on 108Mb of memory.I devised a webpage for my ex- that translates often-used phrases into Japanese (since her bosses are Jpns), and IE was amazingly stunted in performance (e.g. can't drag/scroll), javacript, and css ... I read somewhere that IE Mobile 6 and 6.1 are just IE4 built into the hardware and called 6/6.1, and it's turned out to be nearly useless. Fortunately Opera 8.7 came with the phone, and that has saved this utility. However IE is the only program that will allow me to click an .mp3 link and launch a media player file; Opera can't keep up, and initiates downloading the file only, so while the utility works well in Opera, when the user wants to hear a phrase played back, it's tedious: she has to note the file name, press a few buttons to launch WMP, and find that clip in a list.
It seems IE mobile 7 and 8 weren't issued, and 9 ought to be advanced enough to run this utility, yet all the pages that claim to offer a download are vague and only point to other search sites, while news about IE mobile 9's performance are so vague and unspecific they remind of the machine-generated nonsense that I see now and then pretending to be tech articles.Any hint on if ie9 is real, and where it's available without charge? I found one site that offered it for payment, but we're pulling out of the Thailand flood of last year, and money won't be around for a while. Even though there are equivalent/better browsers out there, it seems IE is the only one that will launch the WMP, and I suspect any media player.

Got mine and can't download any of the PS games.If you select "Get Games" it takes you to the game choices, pick a game and it goes to Gameloft site.Jump through the hoops there, get a text message with a link. Click on that link and it takes you right back to the Gameloft site. Got a hold of AT&T and got told it's not their problem.

When I send a link of a particular paid content from desktop to my mobile then opening link shows me the page with disabled download link with msg either this content is not available for your E72 or This content not available in your Language.

Nokia E52 :: Changing Theme While Charging It?
Jul 5, 2010I have a problem with E52, 033.002 software. Let's say I set the theme to the one I have installed on memory card. Everything looks fine untill I want to charge my phone. Then, the theme switches automatically to completely different one (light blue like) and sometimes doesn't switch back if I disconnect the charger - I have to set it up manually again. Even if it happens that the theme is the right one after disconnecting the charger, I have to set up the background image again, which is reset to "default".When I use themes installed in phone memory everything works fine. The workaround I can do is to copy the theme from the card to phone mem (don't know how), or to change something in the phone soft to avoid changing theme.Does anybody have some idea?

Mar 13, 2010When I change the theme to 'Shortcuts bar' and go back into 'Homescreen' I am given 5 options to display. Shortcuts, Search, Music Player, Radio and Calendar. However, only 'Shortcuts' and 'Search' actually work, and it doesn' event allow for E-mail notification as an option. Any work arounds/fixes for this problem, or am I doing something wrong?

It seems to work fine now, except for the fact that the guys from service reinstalled symbian for the black and red version and thus my theme now is red stripes, red etc... My phone is the blue and white(5530) version and I would preffer to have the blue theme. The red theme just doesn't cut it for the blue/white phones.

Apr 5, 2010First time the phone hanged, I needed to hard reset it, to enter the phone. Now it hanged while I was swtiching theme.
I hard resetet it, and began from the begining again. Although, next time I turned the mobile on, it didn't go further than the white background with the Nokia text.
There is no point to do the procedure again, and I'm sure if I manage to enter the phone again, I will have feature problems with it.
Something is wrong with this one.

Nokia Nseries :: Complete Theme Did Not Install
Nov 25, 2011I have two N8 phones. On my first N8, I did the Anna update. I now have two sets of "midnight" themes on this phone, one set that looks like it did before, and one set that has a symbol at the right of the theme name that sort of looks like a coffee cup. For the themes with the "coffee cup" symbol to the right of the theme name, all the theme icons have been modified to something a bit fancier than the original. What does the "coffee cup" symbol mean? My newest N8 was recently updated to Anna. It only has the old-style themes named "midnight color-name". The icons for the themes still look like they did before the Anna update. How can I get this fancier theme icons on my other N8? If it's simply a matter of downloading the new, full and complete Nokia "midnight" themes for the N8 phone with Anna, where do I go to get them? I've searched all over, and found lots of "midnight" themes, but not the ones I'm looking for (which apparently were installed on one of my phones as part of the Anna Update.

Nokia :: 5800 - Theme Settings Error After FW Update 50.0.005
Jun 9, 2010there i have currenly update my Nokia XPressMusic to FW 50.0.005. The update works well, but after restart of phone i lost my theme and the default symbian S60 Theme is started (light blue touch). I think this is not correct and want go into Settings to Change the Theme back to my Settings (default skin when i have buyed it, with changed background). But i can go into Settings > Personal -> Themes. I see the menu points now in Themes for 1-2 seconds and it goes back to the view of Personal.
I hope i have named the menu points correct, because i have german as language.
