Cseries :: C-7 Wifi Can't Turn Off?
Nov 12, 2010I have today bought the C7 and have been setting it up (which has taken me ages) I am trying to turn off wifi but when I turn it off within 5 seconds it switches itself back on again, how do I turn it off and use it manually, I have looked everywhere but just can't find the right setting Grrr

My BlackBerry had a very simple way of doing this, but it doesn't appear to be possible on the Atirx. I hope I'm wrong, but there doesn't appear to be anything for this in Settings.

Dec 30, 2010I got a Nokia C3-00 for Christmas and love the fact that I can use the wifi at home to acess the internet. When I use the mail function it asks me what connection I want to use, either the GPRS or the Wifi and both work. The same happens when I use the communities button and facebook & Snaptu app. However when I use the opera mini browser it just automatically connects to GPRS. I am only on pay as you go so when I can I want to use wifi and just use the GPRS when I really have to.
I have tried all the fixes and the one that seems to work is the one suggested by Charlie222. This fix makes everything which needs an internet connection ask you which connection you'd like to use and if you select wifi then it works. However if you want to use the GPRS then the settings will not work. This means that I have had to go back through and undo everything Charlie said to do which means again when I use opera mini it just defaults to GPRS.
I know it may seem greedy but I want both GPRS and Wifi to work so as I said I can use wifi at home then GPRS when out and about (mainly when I am bored at work!).
I have updated to the very latest version of software for the phone but still nothing seems to solve the problem and all I want is the phone to work how it should.

Aug 19, 2012I don't pay my service provider T-Mobile for internet acess on my phone, because I don't use Internet much and this phone already got Wi-Fi. So sometimes the phone's Wi-Fi worked just fine. But also sometimes it takes like 30 seconds (which only takes about 10 seconds when it worked) to load and then it said "Service not available". I had tried to use Wi-Fi with the phone closer to my modem with the Wi-Fi signal really strong, disconnected and reconnected, and turn the phone off and on again, but the problem sometimes happen, not always. So is this because of the phone's Wi-Fi receiver is bad, or something else?

Apr 16, 2012there seem to be a bug that I dont seem to be able to find out how to fix, the problem is that i dont want the phone to connect to a wifi network everytime it recognizes one, basically i have few prefered wifis that i use, but i do not want the phone to connect to them automatically. what i already tried is disabled wifi scanning, filtered out those networks that i dont want it to connect to automatically - still no luck. What i wouldnt like to do is delete the networks to enter the password everytime i want to connect...isnt there an easier way around, at least for the phione to ask before connecting to the wifi...

My cell start automatic wifi searching, while i have disabled all posible option to search wifi automatically like (Show WLAN availibility = Never, Internet Connectivity test= Never Run). Beside these setting, i also delete all wifi Network destinitions. but still i found after every 2- 5 mins device prompts for available wifi connection. I dont was such prompt.
