I have today bought the C7 and have been setting it up (which has taken me ages) I am trying to turn off wifi but when I turn it off within 5 seconds it switches itself back on again, how do I turn it off and use it manually, I have looked everywhere but just can't find the right setting Grrr

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had some troubles with my Bionic the past few weeks.I have a Wifi network at home but not in my Office or car.I will keep the Bionic's Wifi at home on all the time,but will turn it off whne I leave.Many times when I will either walk into another place of buisness or just get a text message when the Wifi is off,it will turn the Wifi on.So,it's searching for Wifi and taking the battery life down as well.I have taken the battery out with the Wifi on and rebooted.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a Nokia C3-00 for Christmas and love the fact that I can use the wifi at home to acess the internet. When I use the mail function it asks me what connection I want to use, either the GPRS or the Wifi and both work. The same happens when I use the communities button and facebook & Snaptu app. However when I use the opera mini browser it just automatically connects to GPRS. I am only on pay as you go so when I can I want to use wifi and just use the GPRS when I really have to.
I have tried all the fixes and the one that seems to work is the one suggested by Charlie222. This fix makes everything which needs an internet connection ask you which connection you'd like to use and if you select wifi then it works. However if you want to use the GPRS then the settings will not work. This means that I have had to go back through and undo everything Charlie said to do which means again when I use opera mini it just defaults to GPRS.
I know it may seem greedy but I want both GPRS and Wifi to work so as I said I can use wifi at home then GPRS when out and about (mainly when I am bored at work!).
I have updated to the very latest version of software for the phone but still nothing seems to solve the problem and all I want is the phone to work how it should.
I don't pay my service provider T-Mobile for internet acess on my phone, because I don't use Internet much and this phone already got Wi-Fi. So sometimes the phone's Wi-Fi worked just fine. But also sometimes it takes like 30 seconds (which only takes about 10 seconds when it worked) to load and then it said "Service not available". I had tried to use Wi-Fi with the phone closer to my modem with the Wi-Fi signal really strong, disconnected and reconnected, and turn the phone off and on again, but the problem sometimes happen, not always. So is this because of the phone's Wi-Fi receiver is bad, or something else?

After an upgrade with Belle, it is impossible to get WiFi to work : Although the roaming finds my WLAN, and after introducing the exact WEP key, I allways get a WiFi not found error. That was untill 3 months ago when I started getting charged for accessing FREE WIFI in the UK and in Europe, I have had the phone reset by Nokia and by a Nokia shop without any luck, It is set to always ask when it conects to the internet but it never asks!Should I bin the phone and get a new one or will Nokia sort the problem?I am on V 07.20 but when I try to download the newer version it tells me I have the correct version?

View 9 Replies View Relatedthere seem to be a bug that I dont seem to be able to find out how to fix, the problem is that i dont want the phone to connect to a wifi network everytime it recognizes one, basically i have few prefered wifis that i use, but i do not want the phone to connect to them automatically. what i already tried is disabled wifi scanning, filtered out those networks that i dont want it to connect to automatically - still no luck. What i wouldnt like to do is delete the networks to enter the password everytime i want to connect...isnt there an easier way around, at least for the phione to ask before connecting to the wifi...

is there any way to check my email on a C3-01 only using wifi connection? ( I never connect to internet by network due to crazy costs!) When I try to check I get a message saying "communication error, please try later" I know there is no communication problem 'cos I can go to web pages etc ( while on WiFi)

My cell start automatic wifi searching, while i have disabled all posible option to search wifi automatically like (Show WLAN availibility = Never, Internet Connectivity test= Never Run). Beside these setting, i also delete all wifi Network destinitions. but still i found after every 2- 5 mins device prompts for available wifi connection. I dont was such prompt.

I want to use whatsapp on my nokia C3-00 and use it only through the wifi. I have tried creating new access point but every time I connect it uses gprs although packet data connection is selected to 'when connected'. I have deleted the access points through personnel settings but still some access points are available through packet data. Is it because of that gprs is activated? If yes, how can I delete them?
