My BB won't come on - I was using it this morning, it had been fully charged overnight. It swiched itself off and won't come back on - the red light comes on for 20 seconds, it starts to boot up but gets to about 1/5th of the waiting bar before switching off and starting again. I've tried connecting to the computer but the desktop won't recognise it. I've updated to the latest desktop version.
View 3 Repliesat first i thought the screen is no longer functioning but when i pull the battery and put it back in it does show the mini clock... it flashes the blackberry logo like it would on normal start up and i can briefly see the loading bar but then it just goes to a solid black screen again...

Left house and got into car and saw that the phone was powered off.Would not power back up. Tried charging phone again, get red light for 10-20 seconds and then light turns off and an image of battery with large red X across it appears on the screen. When I plug the phone into computer, computer detects the phone, but still cannot boot up phone.Took phone to mobile carrier (Rogers mobile, Canada) to have them investigate; have been advised that phone is dead. Suspect they simply want me to shell out for new phone/upgrade rather than help me fix the current phone. Support forum suggests others having similar problems, but the suggested solutions have not remedied the situation

I have never rooted my phone nor have I flashed a custom ROM before. I have a 32 GB HTC One M9 from Verizon on stock Lollipop Android, and it has been working perfectly until this morning. I woke up to my M9 stuck in a bootloop. It would boot to the HTC logo, stay there for about 10 sec, then go black and constantly restart again (even as I type this). I can access the bootloader, but it seems none of the options work for me! I can't boot to recovery mode or even power off my phone. It just constantly boots again by itself.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI was downloading one of the twitter apps through appworld and my phone froze during the install phase. I let it sit for about 30 mins to see if it'll come back to life but it didn't do anything.
I removed the battery for 5 seconds and reinserted but nothing happend. I took out the SIM card and let it sit for 2 hours and still nothing, pluged the wall charger in the phone and no signs of life, no lights nothing!!
I bought it new from Rogers less then 12 months ago and am pissed that it died this soon!!I am looking for advice on how to fix this or a good deal on a 9700. I have a Bold 9000 and this morning my BB Desktop manager told me that there is a new software update available and recommended (as always) it. I have started the process and as the device was about to restart it indicated software update failure and now my BB is stuck in boot mode and won't go further.What is the solution? I have recon that I will be loosing all my data on it regardless of what I am doing but right now the device won't go pass the booting screen.

I figured the batt was dead but when tried to switch it on it would fully boot but show the home screen. I security wiped yesterday because of a problem with App world. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Bold 9650 died and would not respond to anything. Thinking the battery had drained I plugged it into the A/C charger, but nothing - no red light, no response. I then plugged it into the car charger and about 15 minutes later it started to re-boot.After an hour on the car charger it read full charge and I thought all was good. However, after 3 phone calls it went dead again. Thinking it was the battery, I replaced it with a new one - nothing. Took the old battery and plugged it into another 9650 and it booted up with 100% battery. I'm now thinking it's something in the phone, but don't understand why it works on the car charger and nothing else. I did find that if I charge it on the car charger, and then attached to either A/C or USB I can get it to last longer, but as soon as I unplug it I've got about an hour or one phone call before it's dead again.

I charged my Bold 9930 all night and now it won't boot up or reboot. I tried a battery pull to no avail. I can't see my BB so I can't give screenshots or too much more info but I will try and answer any questions to the best of my ability.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm getting this error immediately after I enter my password just once after a device reboot.I know this is an error that is thrown by an application but my problem is I cannot determine which one. I used the device switch wizard to switch from a Bold 9700 with OS5 and a fair number of apps installed. I used app world to delete everything that was not a Research in Motion created app, rebooted, then cleanly reinstalled a subset of the 3rd party apps. The error persisted even when only RIM created software was installed.How do I determine which application is throwing this error? I tried looking at the system log, the error is there but with no detail as to which module or app is causing it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Bold is stuck on the boot screen (at about 75%). I've tried many battery pulls with and without the SIM and it keeps doing the same thing. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAt about 11:30 today I sent an sms text to someone and then I looked at my phone a few minutes later and it had rebooted itself. It did this similarly to what would happen if I had taken out the battery and put it back in and the phone was rebooting itself. The problem is the phone would stay on the screen where it says blackberry in the middle of the screen and has a progress bar down at the bottom. The bar is staying at about 5/8 completed and will not go any further. I have tried taking out the battery and putting it back in and it does the same thing. I hooked it up to the charger and had no success either. I have tried booting the phone in safe mode and that does not help any either. I got the phone in about January and have not had any real problems with it until now.

It was previously jailbroken and I've attempted a full restore to its original settings. Because it was jailbroken, it needed some additional steps - custom firmware - to get it back to its original form.
After doing that, the restore seemed to proceed. Got to the final steps, and then it said "there is no sim card installed in the phone you are attempting to activate". For now I'd like to just use it as an iPod.
I also have her original sim card. Tried to connect to iTunes, and it said that the sim card is invalid. (It is the sim card that was being used in that phone).
Ultimately the goal is to purchase a new sim card, and unlock the phone to switch it over to the carrier she is presently using. But I'd be happy with getting it to run as an iPod for now.
I had expected it to restore fine ... but it's not.
Any suggestions?
I found my phone died yesterday. I thought it may have drained the battery. I Plugged iPhone in with Wall Charger for 1 hour. It did not turn on by itself.
Then, Kept it on Wall Charger and tried the Reset by holding both Home and Power buttons for 30 sec and the iPhone did not restart.
I tried to restore it, by holding the home button and connecting through iTunes but nothing happened.

I had 40 percent battery remaining and did a pull battery. When I turned it back on, it went to the Blackberry Loading screen then the bar at the bottom fills. It then goes to this screen and hangs. Tried two FULLY CHARGED batteries, same result.

It starts to boot up, then crashes after the loading bar moves about 1:8th along the load bar. I have tried to connect to the Blackberry Desk top software and I have tried to wipe the BB using JL_Cmdr but the phone does not stay on long enough to connect to anything.
