View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter two years of no problems, suddenly my PK is not accepting my access password. In fact it displays the actual characters rather than " * " .I have 3 tries left. I have read several threads and have learned that after 10 attempts - everything in PK is erased. This is not a matter of a forgotten password, but something else.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a new 8520 recently and on Monday. Hooked it up to my PC and transferred all my Address Book Contacts & Calendar to the phone using Desktop Manager.Next day I got the activation code from my company and put it in and hey presto I was getting emails. Next day I connected it back up to my PC to make some changes to my Calendar and after that the emails stopped.I had to get a new activation code and it was back online however the day after that after I connected again to Desktop Manager it stopped receiving emails again. Back receiving emails again after getting another activation code.Speaking to others in my company who have BB, they have said their contacts & calendar automatically update on the phone when they change it on their PC but it doesn't happen on mine.Any ideas to help me out? Where am I going wrong? After the first time I got the activation code and connected to the PC, it wouldn't sync the Address Book Contacts as it said it was set up for wireless synchronisation but I never set that up?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to sync my Yahoo calendar with my Blackberry Bold 9700 via the Blackberry Desktop Manager (version 5.0.1) and am getting the error message "Connection to Yahoo server was lost" when the calendar sync is occurring. The only option on the screen is to press "OK". Once "OK" is pressed, the Blackberry Desktop Manager returns to the synchronization screen. The address book syncs successfully, but the calendar does not. I have tried syncing one way and both ways without success.
A few notes about the environment: I am using the newer version of Yahoo Calendar which I have seen recommended on other postings. I am using standard Yahoo not the small biz version. I have seen this recommended, too.I am connecting my Blackberry Bold 9700 to my laptop via the USB cable that is supplied by Blackberry.
I have a Blackberry 9700 phone which has been working fine up until today when I decided to load the "Blackberry User Tools" software onto my P.C. at home. After successful installation and machine restart, I was asked to enter my "Device Password". Assuming this would be my password I set originally to lock my phone I entered it and found this didn't work. I subsequently attempted a number of other logical permutations but then realised that if I continued I would lock my phone. So I stopped (at 8/10 tries) and called my service provider "Orange UK" who advised they couldn't help me and that if I continued to enter the incorrect code, it would wipe my phone as it would automatically reset! When I connected via USB last time, it asked for me to enter the word "blackberry" which I did but when it then asked me to enter my password (which I assumed was the four digit numerical code I had originally set the phone with) it failed to work. I am now left with two further attempts. Please can anyone assist by advising me what I can do to overcome the problem without wiping my phone as the contents are very important to me.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had my phone for a year in August and I love it, but when I finally have time to work with and learn, it is asking for a DEVICE PASSWORD. Where do I find the password for my desktop manager?
trying to figure out what to do. Please direct me in the right direction.
The desktop manager is asking for a pssword everrytime I connect my blackberry to my laptop. I have tried the passwords that I know I normally use, but now I am at the 9th attempt and not sure what will happen if I try one more time.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend and I both have Bberry torch (9800). I have updated her Bberry with the Desktop Manager a couple of days ago and for some reason, the update took a lot more time than usual (more than the whole afternoon). I know it was frozen, but I didn't want to loose any software info and have problems with a half-updated device. But, at the end of day, I had no other options, and I had to reboot the update again. Luckily, I had done my back up prior to this.
And as expected, after the successful update, I had lost all my personal data due to the failure of the first update attempt. Therefore, I uploaded the back up in the device, and all personal data came back (lucky me). However, the information in the password manager application is all gone.
lumia phone password manager has switched to another language how do I get it back to English???
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, I have finally admitted it to myself, I'm getting old. Since our IT department doesn't want to combine applications for the ability to have one password to open everything, it is not really their fault, laws prohibit this. So to keep track of the four dozen passwords I habe at work, and two or three dozen personal ones, the spreadshhet has been made. It works OK at work, but when I'm home, it becomes a bit of a pain. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good quality password managing application. The only two criteria that I have is, it has to be encrypted, and I need to be able to pair it to my DX2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and have the ability to access it on a computer. My initial thought is a good Excel file, that I can jot a couple lines of code to lock it down

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo recently my HTC One has decided to just get all whack on me. For some reason, I cannot access the Google Play Store, Snapchat or a password manager app while on Wi-Fi. Other apps like web browsing, Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp work perfectly fine but it seems like those three apps will just not work on Wi-Fi.
I googled online and they told me to delete cache and make sure the time and date was correct. I did that and no results.
How can I reset my Blackberry ID password if I forgot the answer to my password reset question?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI wanna take your opinions about Nokia N96. What do you think about this device in a few sentences. And if you use this device, is there any battery problems? Please reply this subject; and in this subject you could write your best Nokia phone ever, which one is the best Nokia device ever?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been all over the internet searching for my next telephone, and not been able to find an adequate cell phone chooser or website with enough information. I'm looking for a Nokia phone (I need a good antenna and a good microphone, and I trust Nokia to deliver them) that works with MetroPCS. This means that it has to be a CDMA phone.
The two features that I need are AWS (Metro requires this for operation in some east coast cities) and Bluetooth (preferably 2.0) with dial-up networking (bluetooth DUN). Camera, software, GPS, etc are all optional. I like simple, but I'm willing to deal with excess bells and whistles. Does anyone know of a phone that would fit the bill?
I have a few questions on the N97 Mini. I was hoping you guys could help me with:
Touchscreen and navigation arrows: if I choose to, can I avoid to use the touchscreen and resort to the arrows in the keyboard? For example, to navigate in a web page
Battery life: what's your experience so far?
Keyboard: I understand this is very subjective, but how are you finding it? I hate to type on touchscreens. Do you find it convenient or is it annoying to open the sliding keyboard every single time?
I am considering moving from the E71 to the N97 mini, because an operator has a pretty good deal on it, and because I'd like a bigger keyboard and bigger screen, even though I understand this comes at the price of reduced battery life.
I always have the iPhone App Store Genius recommendations turned on by default. Always worked fine until today, when I got the message "You do not currently have any recommendations". Strange, as I have 5 pages of apps. Logged into my account, turned Genius off, turned it back on again, agreed to terms and conditions etc, but the Genius recommendations page is still empty. Anyone else ever had this?

View 8 Replies View Related! I am having a problem with the password on my Porsche blackberry. It asks me to enter my password which I do and is accepted but then I get the message "enter 'blackberry' to continue". I type in "blackberry" and this is accepted but then it asks me to enter my password again which is not accepted (the password is correct). Does anyone know why I have to type in the word "blackberry" and why my password is not accepted the second time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot remember my BB ID password. My BB ID username was set up as an "@carrier.blackberry.net". So when I go to the forgot password link, it emails the password to the above email, which cannot be accessed from a computer, as is a Blackberry email.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Wife is en route to South Africa and has inserted her South African SIM card into her Blackberry phone. The phone is asking for a username and password or all information will be lost. Is anyone able to assist, as I would have thought, it would have just required the SIM card pin number to be entered and then the Blackberry service to be activated on that SIM.We are based in India and the Indian SIM has never required a SIM code. The phone is not network blocked, so now at a loss, as my wife will not be ale to communicate.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am struggling to find a new phone to replace my C902 so I need some suggestions or ill end up having another C902! My criteria:
Must have buttons - I don't mind an element of touch screen but it has to have buttons to text with
Not Smart phone - I use my phone as a phone, not a portable media device to have no use for all the extra features. My main uses are calling, texting and taking photos so I want a decent camera, minimum of 5mp.
I prefer the candy bar style which rules out a lot of phones so I am prepared to be flexible with that. From what I can see there is the Elm coming out but that seems to be a very slightly updated version of the C902, theres the Aino but from reading reviews people haven't been overly impressed with its photo capabilities. So has anyone got any other suggestions for me? I've always had SE but am considering moving to the dark side to find a phone I like/want. Doesn't necessarily have to be brand new either, im even considering looking at the C905.
W580i it's a good option for my W810i but I have no idea if the problem of its keypad has been solved. Do you recommend it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been watching W810's photos and they are awesome but I can't find any new Walkman phone with that quality, maybe the W995 (the only one that has autofocus) Even W810 takes better photos than K810. What I need it's a secondary camera which can help me when I'm not carrying my canon. So what SE phone - especially Walkman series- would you recommend me?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have the blackberry bold 9000 and my BB Protect has asked me to verify my account after I put in a new sim card. I have put in the correct password but it keeps saying its wrong and I have one attempt left. This has happened to me before and on the 8th attempt, it finally accepted my password. I have tried the "forget password" option but after I've filled the security question and new password, it either freezes and doesn't go to the next page or it says "bad request".
