I am trying to sync my curve with the desktop manager & keep getting the masseage service password required. It is asking for device password. I dont remember setting one up. Where will I find this.
View 1 RepliesI tried to use the blackberry desktop manager. Asked me to enter my pin. I did, it wouldnt accept it. I unplugged my phone to use it, it continued to tell me my password to unlock it as incorrect and rather than displaying the astrericks that it normally does when you enter the unlock password, it was displaying the actual characters so, I know that neither the keys are not faulty nor the password is incorrect. Its simply not accepting my password anymore.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry 9700 phone which has been working fine up until today when I decided to load the "Blackberry User Tools" software onto my P.C. at home. After successful installation and machine restart, I was asked to enter my "Device Password". Assuming this would be my password I set originally to lock my phone I entered it and found this didn't work. I subsequently attempted a number of other logical permutations but then realised that if I continued I would lock my phone. So I stopped (at 8/10 tries) and called my service provider "Orange UK" who advised they couldn't help me and that if I continued to enter the incorrect code, it would wipe my phone as it would automatically reset!When I connected via USB last time, it asked for me to enter the word "blackberry" which I did but when it then asked me to enter my password (which I assumed was the four digit numerical code I had originally set the phone with) it failed to work. I am now left with two further attempts. Please can anyone assist by advising me what I can do to overcome the problem without wiping my phone as the contents are very important to me.

I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
I can't connect the blackberry to the desktop manager, it doesn't recognize my phone on the computer, but that happened when I updated my desktop manager to the next version. Because before that it worked very fine.I tried to change the configuration on the desktop manager but it didn't work out. My computer doesn't recognize my phone as an usb device either.

My blackberry did not have blackberry messenger and notepad/memopad. I was able to download blackberry messenger, and that does show up on my desktop manager now, but I haven't found a notepad/memopad to download. Recently I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 from Vista.Now, the computer doesn't recognize my BB, and Desktop Mgr doesnt *find* the BB when plugged in. All worked perfectly before I upgraded the OS on my computer....now, nothing works. I tried reinstalling the software but that did not help.Please advise on what I should do or try.

I sync my calender with Outlook few times a week which works fine when I sync one way. Phones > Outlook. unplug, replug, Outlook to Phone.If I try and sync both ways, it just doesnt happen and gives me some error message.
