Mar 21, 2011I have a BB 8900. My GPS icon has gone missing as well as my preloaded Games.My Games folder is showing but it is empty.

BB Software :: 8900 WiFi Icon Grayed Out - Showing White Line Under Manage Connections
May 9, 2012I've seen it many times being brightly black and white, and under Manage Connections it shows a Green checked symbol. But most of the time the WiFi icon is grayed out and under Manage Connections it has a white little line instead of the green checked symbol.

OS 5.0.0.1036 (build 1682) Only WiFi.

Jun 1, 2011I have recently had some problems with my BB 8900. My BB just suddenly shut down and when i tried to turn it back on it just didn't work. When I try to charge it by USB cable it looks like it charging, and when the red light goes off, the screen turns white and there is a battery with a lightning running trough it. I really do not know what to do. I tried to take out and put the battery back in, but I get the same response.

May 10, 2010I just got a replacement 8900 from AT&T cause mine wouldn't let me upgrade to the 5.0 OS so I got a new one to see if it was my phone or just 8900's from at&t in general.
I had my old phone backed up, i just restored it and am now uploading apps and such.
But it's my browser that isn't what it should be..
on my old 8900 on the browser config, i had 3 options.. media net, hot spot and internet browser. and the IB is what i kept it on. but the new 8900 only has an option for hot spot and media net, and i don't want to use either of those :s
so, does anyone know how i could fix it and get my IB back?
BB Curve 8900 :: SMS Message Are Showing As Coming From One Contact
Jul 12, 2010I have a wierd SMS problem with a couple of BB Curve 8900s. For some reason on this model SMS's are showing as coming from 1 contact (when there are a lot more) and when you hit reply it replies to that 1 contact and not to the person who actually sent it. I can't see any problems in the settings that could be causing this. Obviously the last thing I want to do is rebuild the devices so can anyone think of what might be causing this?

Oct 24, 2011I have a BB Curve 8900. Couple of days back, I left it for charging. In an hour time when I rechecked, there was some issue with display, as it was getting distorted. Post this I did a battery pull. Post that when I restarted, there was a complete white screen, nothing else. The phone is booting up, and calls are coming, (as it is vibrating and ringing, and you can pick call), but the screen is completely white, you cannot see anything else, it is completely white.
I did a complete wipe, and reinstalled the OS(OS version 5), but still it is only showing complete white screen.

Sep 24, 2011My Son was given a Curve 8900 and has used it for months without any problems. Yesterday some of his friends messing about tried to access his phone and put in wrong pin number several times. His phone is now showing a message 'Reload Software 513'. We have never synchronized this phone with the internet, so not sure how we go about sorting out this problem?

Jul 12, 2010I recently performed a battery pull to re-establish connection with the local EDGE network, and as expected, all the emails that I received while not in contact with EDGE came flooding in. What also appeared was an icon I've never seen before, an orange envelope with a sort or ribbon encircling it, and it only appears in front of the "Email Messages" icon, not the "Messages" or "SMS and MMS" icons, and is not accompanied by the usual tiny envelope icon with the number next to it that appears on the Home Screen whenever I have new messages. I've emptied out the Email folder, but it's still there.

For some reason it is listed in my apps when I go to settings, but the icon is no where to be found so I can't ever open it! I use poynt a lot and it uses bb maps to map out my travel, but I can't just open bb maps to do my own route with an address. What is the deal? Jan 29, 2010I have just changed network from Vodafone to Gamma Telecom and since then emails on one of the 2 accounts I have set up are auto deleting from the device after 24 hours, however, the odd sent item still shows...I have checked settings and states to stay on device for 30 days and cannot understand what is happening as never done this before. Have also done a soft and hard reset but still the same.
