I am a BBerry newbie and I generally like the phone but am finding that upgrades are a huge bother.Every time I upgrade the software all my apps become disabled.I have to re-agree to the terms and conditions, re-enter the registration number (of course this means also looking it up), re-establish all my specialized setting, options, alarms, etc. This is a serius nuisance and makes the Bberry almost disfunctional for several days.I am in the middle of a call and need to check a setting and discover that I can't because I haven't re-set-up the app I need. Eg can't check a pdf because I haven't re-entered my registration for docs to go, haven't agreed to the terms, and haven't re-established its link to the desktop. Isn't there a way to upgrade the OS without losing everything else in the process?

Does anybody know when Nokia do map upgrades. In Finland we have had long time our main road between Helsinki and Turku, but nokia maps shows that old road. Routing navigator is useles with out good updates. Has anyone else these kind of problems?
i'm really enjoying my BB except that i cannot log in with my BB ID to download upgrades. I have received the confirmation e-mail stating that my user ID is valid and activated yet whenever i try to log in it says :Error. Try again later." As this has been for the last two weeks now, can anyone give me some advice?
I have one I ordered through At&T for me and I reserved one at Apple for pickup ( I have both right now). NOW my son wants one and my wife too. Now I was eligible for a upgrade but the rest of the family unit is not but a 399 upgrade. Question remains how many am I limited too if at all and willing to pay the freight. Man just realized I made Steve's day today reading this. Can I get a discount.
Seems to me that the upgrade of the system is not an option of Sony engineering, because it asks Nokia (at the end, OS is their property).Sony-Ericsson probably think (like all big firms),that today's consumer society should be animate with new, new, new and always new gadgets. All praise to brands, that provide full support for their devices regardless of their age.Who knows, maybe some engineer from Sony-Ericsson gone astray in this forum, read something, and think that million people read this (million people - 1$ - one million dollars),million unhappy users - low support - problems to you "mister Sony-Ericsson").
I just bought a Touch Pro1 for Spint. It has windows 6.1 on it. Can someone please help me on how to download the different upgrades for this phone? Only reason I bought it, I'm saving up for a TP2 and just want to make this phone as nice as it can be. I appreciate any and all help/advice.
samsung galaxy s ii a month ago and i noticed 2 bugs (i hope not faults).the first bug is the notorious pink spot.even after 2 firmware upgrades,it`s still there.the second bug and the most annoying is the fps drop.in low light conditions (and i mean inside or night),when autofocusing, the fps drop dramatically, like in this video (http://www.Internet.com/watch?=wkqe_62ee6y).again,after 2 firmware upgrades,it`s still there.i really don`t know what to do.i searched various websites and forums and the only "solution" i found is for the pink spot [the solution is updating to ke7,but my version is kj4 (the latest in my country and above ke7)],but still no luck with that.
Having done a bit of research, I would just like to clarify things in respect to my phone which is a Nokia 6220 classic, running S60 3rd edition. I double checked the version against the list here: http://www.zedge.net/forum/t/27995/s40-s60-or-s80-find-out-here/
And also in the phone itself. Am I correct to expect that running S60 gives me a good chance of getting the free navigation upgrades that have been talked about here? I'm not in any particular hurry; but if its likely that the upgrade is not coming, then I won't have to check back here every few days. Someone posted elsewhere that upgrades (for S60 devices?) were coming "in the first half of the year". Is that just rumour, or has Nokia said something official about it?
I have had the 8900 for many months and I have been stumped with this question: Why does the “wireless upgrade” NEVER have any updates when I know there are updates available (5.0).
I use a mac, and I downloaded the recent upgrade (4.6.1.319) through the desktop manager. So why does the wireless upgrade never has any upgrades available?
I are currently with Verizon, but have given up on waiting for a Verizon IPhone and are going to make the switch. From what I can tell, it looks like since we will be new AT&T customers we will only be able to initially buy 1 IPhone 4. A bit of a problem, since we each want one. We were planning on going to the Apple store to sign up for a family plan (since apparently you can't sign up for a family plan via the Apple website) and reserve the phones.
Would it be possible to sign up for a family plan now, without buying any phones, and then buy two IPhones? Alternatively, is it possible that when we go to reserve we'll just be able to order two phones? Or is it possible to just sign up for two individual plans and then merge them into a family plan? Otherwise we may have a throw down over who get the phone!
Has there been an upgrade at all for the software? I am still using Google Maps v2.3.2 and the Google website still says this is up to date.Google Maps did work once, with respect to the My Location feature. Now it just sits there trying to find my location and states its waiting for the GPS.Home Network doesn't work as it will constantly try to load but cannot find the other computers in my network. It will connect via Wi-Fi no problem though. It seems as if LG made this phone, but never did anything to support it. Am I the only person who feels this way about the phone? If it's of any relevance: I am on Telus Mobility in Ontario, Canada.
I cannot take any of the free upgrades offered to phone/ windows, says try later. I do have a blackberry account.have had the phone 2 months so they are piling up!
It worked before but since its updates it tells me its not supported. I cant even do software updates with the phone on its own it always ends up failing. Its annoying i need to get this sorted before ice cream comes along?
I see that ICS will allow you to take photos while recording video simultaneously. Might there be a future update that would allow you to take photos after the video is finished recording? Just in case you forgot to hit the snapshot button while you are holding your breath to steady your shot.
I installed some of the BB upgrades today and now all my icons at the top of my screen have disappeared. If I take out my battery and restart my phone they appear and after awhile they disappear. I am referring to the signal, battery time icons at top of the screen.
When i reboot my phone after I installed a few upgrades to some applications, as usual.I was asked to reboot. It restarted the phone, however does not completly reboot back to my home screen. Instead, it is stuck on my Network Provider's screen...(o2 Welcome Screen)Im guessing it is still finishing the installation of some upgrades, but it has been like this all night.
I did a baterry pull, and took out the SIM Card and memory card, however it still seems to be stuck on the Network Provider's home screen.I had this issue last time, and I was advised from another forum to turn off the phone from the Off button on the phone, pull the battery and memory card, reinsert the battery without the memory card. This worked perfectly last time. Now, while the welcome screen is showing, if i press the off button, it will "Verify Security Software" and turn off.
With Wi-Fi off and opening the native iPhone map app there is always a pop up message saying GPS accuracy improves with Wi-Fi on and has a button to go right to settings to turn it on. Okay, I know GPS accuracy is improved while connected to Wi-Fi, but is it improved even when not connected but turned on?Thinking maybe just having Wi-Fi on searching and locating connections may pinpoint your location relative to Wi-Fi routers and/or hot spots along your route and help with positioning and tracking. I know this would kill the battery but am neurotic enough about my GPS tracking apps to do it anyway. My experiments with this are inclusive. May seem like a silly question but like I said I'm neurotic about my GPS accuracy. So, does anyone know for sure one way or the other?
I am looking into getting the Iphone 4S but i read that it needs 10.5.8 or higher and my mac is currently running on 10.5.6. I still really want to get the phone but i don't know what to do? Will it really be a problem or is it just a recommendation? What can i do if i do need 10.5.8 or higher??
I just ordered an G920i which I will be getting tomorrow. Is it like the Galaxy S5 with lollipop when it comes to the scrolling? I absolutely hate it its hard to explain but example: Scrolling up and down through settings or a website, its not lag its when you scroll really fast it has a jumpy affect or effect where it will scroll the opposite direction. It does not happen on other phones running lollipop except the Xperia Z2 I had.
I want to change my lockscreen effect,so i changed the lock type to swipe so the lock screen effect appears but it appeared to be locked (shaded in grey).. so what should i do to unlock it?
