I just bought a Touch Pro1 for Spint. It has windows 6.1 on it. Can someone please help me on how to download the different upgrades for this phone? Only reason I bought it, I'm saving up for a TP2 and just want to make this phone as nice as it can be. I appreciate any and all help/advice.

I have received the confirmation e-mail stating that my user ID is valid and activated yet whenever i try to log in it says :Error. Try again later." As this has been for the last two weeks now, can anyone give me some advice?

View 2 Replies View Relatedafter arguing with sprint for hours and trying to "legally" get PAM added to my account with no avail, i got tired of arguing and hung up and decided to see if i could get around it on a BB while still having a decent plan.well you can.
These instructions are at your own risk, and while i was able to do it to both a curve and a pearl, and im assuming since all BB's are about the same it should work on the tour and 8830, it's at your own risk.
I am not posting this from my normal username, as it's a little risky for me to do so so please know that i've had plenty of posts on here and been around since '04 Ok so here goes.Step 1: Install QPST 2.7 build 215 (this is very important, no other one will work, find it yourself )
Step 2: Obtain your MSL/SPC from Sprint (if you dont already have it)Step 3: Get your PowerVision Username (if you dont know it, you can do ##xxxxxx and press call from the homescreen x=msl/spc, it's the [URL] in the list)Step 4: Start BBDM and QPST Configuration at the same time, then once you add the port to QPST, selct "Service Programming" from the drop down menu.
Step 5: Select your phone in the list, dont worry it will act like it doesnt know the chipset model, select SURF6300 BB from the list and say OK
Step 6: go to the MIP tab Step 7: Create a new MIP profile that looks just like this (except in the NAI and Tethered NAI, you'll enter your PV username) -- once you're done you will have two profiles, the first one im assuming is for provisioning and i wouldnt mess with it.
Step 8: click "OK" then "write to phone", it will give an error about the model changing on com X, do you want to close the connection?, say NO it will write anyway, then you will get another error about the phone not responding.. that's because it rebooted.Step 9: once the phone reboots, create a manual DUN connection (i assume if you're on here and understand how to use PST you can make a DUN connection ) with the connection as follows:

I bought a BB Curve 9330 UNLOCKED. Its a Sprint phone but my carrier is T-Mobile. From my understanding, all I needed to do was put in my SIM card and I would be set. Well, there's no place to put my SIM card so how do I get onto my network and be able to get phone calls, texts, etc?

Sprint said it couldn't be done. One of them are lying to me, but I don't know which one. It shouldn't be a big deal. It should be just changing the software. What should I do?

I have a rooted HTC Hero and I've previously used my phone's internet sharing mode succesfully but now it won't work. I called Sprint and they said they no longer support phone as modem but I luckily spoke to a tech that told me it is possibly and told me to ask around about how to get it to work.

I found a video online to make RAM more managable and it had to do with earasing some data in the files and reboot. Now my phone is stuck on a boot loop and goes into the "Sprint spark" screen for like 5 min and restarts. Rocovery mode does not work but download mode does. I was thinking of trying to update with smart switch since there is a small update or maybe re flashing the kernel but i dont think that work and the stock roms for OFE arnt online yet.

I go online at the sprint.blackberry.com site to add my emails - it won't let me add this one - if I put in the info as an established email - it asks me for the server name. I talked to tech support a good 40 minutes with no help what so ever! I even looked into it like they may have canceled my email - but when I enter it as a new one it says it's taken. Does anybody know when Nokia do map upgrades. In Finland we have had long time our main road between Helsinki and Turku, but nokia maps shows that old road. Routing navigator is useles with out good updates. Has anyone else these kind of problems?

Now I was eligible for a upgrade but the rest of the family unit is not but a 399 upgrade. Question remains how many am I limited too if at all and willing to pay the freight. And also in the phone itself. Am I correct to expect that running S60 gives me a good chance of getting the free navigation upgrades that have been talked about here? I have had the 8900 for many months and I have been stumped with this question: Why does the “wireless upgrade” NEVER have any updates when I know there are updates available (5.0).
I use a mac, and I downloaded the recent upgrade (4.6.1.319) through the desktop manager. So why does the wireless upgrade never has any upgrades available?
I are currently with Verizon, but have given up on waiting for a Verizon IPhone and are going to make the switch. From what I can tell, it looks like since we will be new AT&T customers we will only be able to initially buy 1 IPhone 4. A bit of a problem, since we each want one. We were planning on going to the Apple store to sign up for a family plan (since apparently you can't sign up for a family plan via the Apple website) and reserve the phones.
Would it be possible to sign up for a family plan now, without buying any phones, and then buy two IPhones? Alternatively, is it possible that when we go to reserve we'll just be able to order two phones? Or is it possible to just sign up for two individual plans and then merge them into a family plan? Otherwise we may have a throw down over who get the phone!

Has there been an upgrade at all for the software? I am still using Google Maps v2.3.2 and the Google website still says this is up to date.Google Maps did work once, with respect to the My Location feature. Now it just sits there trying to find my location and states its waiting for the GPS.Home Network doesn't work as it will constantly try to load but cannot find the other computers in my network. It will connect via Wi-Fi no problem though.It seems as if LG made this phone, but never did anything to support it. Am I the only person who feels this way about the phone?If it's of any relevance: I am on Telus Mobility in Ontario, Canada.

Instead, it is stuck on my Network Provider's screen...(o2 Welcome Screen)Im guessing it is still finishing the installation of some upgrades, but it has been like this all night.
I did a baterry pull, and took out the SIM Card and memory card, however it still seems to be stuck on the Network Provider's home screen.I had this issue last time, and I was advised from another forum to turn off the phone from the Off button on the phone, pull the battery and memory card, reinsert the battery without the memory card.This worked perfectly last time. Now, while the welcome screen is showing, if i press the off button, it will "Verify Security Software" and turn off.
I've entered a pre-paid SIM card and can't read the phone book on my TOUR, i dont even have the option to retract them from the card to the phone when i go to the menu. Although I can make and receive calls with no problem.Did u guys have to do something special prior to entering the card?
