BB Tour :: Stuck On Application Permission Screen?
Jun 15, 2010
So my Blackberry is stuck on the "Application Permissions" screen. I have tried a battery pull and it does nothing. I can not use my phone for anything as of now. I have Verzion Wirless as my carrier. Will have to take the phone to a Verzion store
I have accidentally changed the default permissions on my Blackberry Bold 9790 & now applied these. Can any tell me how to get back to the proper factory default application permissions without having to do a security wipe or if is there a list somewhere of what they should be so i can manually set them back.
Today i took ount my phones battery and placed it back in and the black black ground with "blackberry" cpomes out and it starts to load but the bar stops at about 70%.
i try taking out the battery couple of times and it still didnt work. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks youuuuu
Well I have the newest Tour firmware and everything was working fine until this morning when I did a battery pull. It goes through the boot up process but then it gets stuck at the splash screen. I removed my memory card to see if that was the issue but it wasn't. Do you think downgrading the firmware will fix this issue?
Earlier today, while my tour was charging it randomly rebooted itself, but it wouldn't boot all the way - the load screen froze about 2/3 of the way through and then didn't do anything (for like 15 minutes) I did both a hard and soft reset, but the phone still won't boot past that point. Because it won't boot, I can't connect it to the computer to reinstall the OS or anything.
I download the "Blackberry Protect" application, onto my Blackberry 9630 Tour and when I went to install it , it state that "you cannot install Blackberry Protect on your blackberry device. Blackberry Protect is not compatible with devices that use a Blackberry Enterprise Server.
I'm just wondering why my application memory is so low. When I go to App World and then My World and look at the memory bar, it says I only have 83 MB free. I only have two things installed - Imagining theme (751 kb) and the Spectrum theme (1.2 mb). I'm pretty sure that those aren't taking up 173 mb themselves.
I'm considering getting the Tour 9630. I have been researching this phone a lot all over the internet. I heard that the memory on this phone is not all that to brag about. I also heard that you can not save applications on memory cards or something like that. (Please clarify that for me if I misunderstood). My question is I have been wondering if the applications take up a bunch of memory. This will be my first blackberry and I am not sure on how much memory applications roughly take up.
I know there are probably random number figures out there, but apparently everyone thinks this phone is overall a great phone even without saving the applications to your phones memory. Excluding that is that the only thing you can not save to memory on it? Just a little FYI I'm new here so please bare with me as I get adjusted to this site. I looked around and didn't find anything regarding this. If you need anymore information or me to be more clear please let me know so you can assist me as much as possible.
I've noticed that no matter how many times I try to close facebook it stays open and seems to slow my Tour down to a crawl. Constantly getting the spinning clock now. I've tried reinstalling facebook but that didn't help. Facebook isn't worth not having my Tour work but at that the same time why am I paying for a device that won't run apps without issues? It's really strange because nothing has changed and yet all of a sudden this issue has popped up. I also tried a battery pull but that seemed to make the problem worse, not better. After the battery pull I got the clock for about 10 minutes and the device was slow for a while after that
Every time I try to use an app that requires the internet, one of two messages constantly pop up, sometimes even both. I have the application permissions set to allow. One message is, "The application slacker_radio has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy." I can only click 'ok' after that. The other message is, "The application (any one of them) has requested a http connection to (whichever site it uses)" Then is has choices: 'Do not ask for http' and 'Do not ask for http to (whichever site it uses)' The second choice is checked by default. I've tried checking both and either box singely. Again, all the application permissions are set to allow for these apps. I've tried Slacker, Poynt, Scoremobile, Weatherbug, and . I didnt bother trying any other app.
I am trying to upgrade to 5.0 os and I downloaded the .419 from MTS and I downloaded the .419 and its recognizing old os such as 4.7 os, why isn't it recoginizing my 5.0 .419 os? It wont let me put on the new os it doesnt recognize it in the app loader.
After I upgraded my Tour to OS 5, the Application Center no longer refreshes - all I get is the message: An error occured while updating the application list: Error 404
i am having a problem whuile operating the blackberry desktop manager after connecting my handheld. it says "handheld application loader wizard has encountered a problem and needs to close.we are sorry for the inconvenience". im unable 2 do anything on my device except take a back-up.
I have several updates available for applications on my Tour. When I enter my e-mail and password and then hit "login" a pop-up appears that says "authenticating" and then the screen locks up.No matter what I do or how long I wait, nothing happens. My only recourse at that point is to hit the red button used to end a phone call, and then I can get back to the main screen, but the updates still ned to be done.
I downloaded CBS Sports Bookmark from Blackberry App World. It continues to say "Installing" but it never finishes. I have tried rebooting my phone but it still does not finish installing. Any ideas on how to fix this problem would greatly be appreciated. I am running Blackberry OS version 4.5
I have been trying for a VERY long time to download an operating system. Every time the Application Loader Wizard does not detect the blackberry. It also does not let me check the box to detect it automatically. The Blackberry Desktop Manager recognizes the BB and its pin but the app loader wizard does not.
I bricked my 9630 and I am thinking of upgrading to 5.0. My carrier has not supplied me with a 5.0 yet, so I was thinking of using the Verizon 9630 5.0 version. My question is if I am not successful loading the 5.0, is it easy to reinstall my 4.7 from my carrier or will I run into a problem?
I want to remove FACEBOOK FOR BLACKBERRY SMARTPHONES APPLICATION from my Facebook account and need help. When I try to remove this Facebook tells me I have to do it from the phone. I no longer have this phone and do not even have a BlackBerry any longer and have no way of doing this. Under my Friends Page where my phonebook is the BlackBerry application is there. The only answers Facebook gives me are that it has to be deleted from the phone itself but again I can not do that
Haven't been receiving e-mails most of today. Went to e-mail settings to check on what was up and received the above message. Sent an e-mail from my BB to myself and haven't gotten it yet, although my BB says it sent. I've tried alt-caps-del reboot and battery pull. Same problem. Internet browser works fine. I haven't installed or deleted any apps or anything.
I'm having an issue with my Tour 9630.Upgraded to 5.0 and no Memo or Task apps. Tried everything. Seems odd that BlackBerry wouldn't auto load these apps and allow the user to delete themselves. I'm getting tired of the deleting, reloading, searching, etc.
I tried to dl .624 yesterdaythe overall restore progress goes to 100 percent and stays there.I tried to take the battery out and put it back in and the upgrade just starts over,I can't even stop the upgrade.I did a hard reset and the same thing happens
I have a BB tour and its out of warranty, since I bought it used, some reason the roller ball is all weird, when I push it in to make a selection it does not push in like it is suppose to, it almost feels like the roller ball is stuck in, is there a way to replace the roller ball or a way to take it out and make sure nothing is under the ball?
I am currently having an issue with my blackberry not fully booting up. I have read through multiple outdated threads, which refer to a re installation of the OS . I do not get any kind of error or white screen when booting up. My phone starts to booth up as if i did a normal battery pull and just stops at about 75%. I left it for about an 1 hour and nothing, removed the sd card, sim card and nothing. I recall whatsapp being the last app that I downloaded. I really don't want to reinstall the OS as I have not done a backup for quite so time( I know its my fault =[ )
