I am trying to access my applications without any success. I can make and receive calls. But I can not check my email or text messages. I also can not access any of my applications. I recently update my Desktop Software to the 6.0. I was trying to do a security wipe on my handheld, but it will not allow me to go into options. Any alternate security wipe for my device.
View 3 RepliesI really struggle with the wifi on my N900. When I want to see emails I have to disconnect from the wifi and change to 3G otherwise get an error message. Also can only download apps if via 3G - again have to disconnect from home wifi. Also cannot use the iplayer - probably because over wifi? Anyone else have this problem?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm not receiving any notification of voice-mails.People leave me voicemails, but the Tour doesn't notify me of them. I do not have visual voice mail -- this is just plain ol' voicemail. I don't get texts notifying me of VM, either, but I'm not sure I'm set up to receive text notifications, so I'm less concerned about that.
I've been notified before that there is a new voicemail for me, and after that there was a little icon up near the email and text message icons until I listened to it. I don't get either of these any longer -- not the big notification or even the little icon with the number beside it. I don't know exactly when or why these have stopped.How can I get VM notifications back?

Bigtime newbie here, coming from a Treo running WM5.0. As of yesterday, I've got a 9630 to replace my Treo 700wx. (I'm on CDMA / Alltel.)I managed to get two POP3 accounts set up and automatically checking mail. It was pretty painless. (Can send email too, no problem so far.) I got the auto-msgs suggesting to "leave copy on server" but I don't want to do that if I don't have to. I want my home desktop clearing mail.
I'm not looking for pushed email, and I do NOT want all my email going to the Tour all the time. I only want access to it when I'm away from the house, and that's a couple days a week or so.
Is it possible to shut off the auto-pull feature through BIS? I thought I found it, but it was for automatically downloading images, no emails. (Yeah, I gotta read better.) Even if I could shut down the auto-pull, I can't see how to manually tell the Tour to pull my mail in when I request it. There's no "send and receive" or anything like that.So... How do I manually check my mail? Is it even possible with BIS? And can I stop it from manually pulling my mail?
I'm new to Blackberry and just learning. I've noticed that some of my SMS texts that are sent have a "D" in the check-mark. Can someone let me know what it indicates? I have not changed any settings and not all my outgoing messages contain the "D."

View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday while listening to a podcast, I decided to check the weather. I clicked the home button and scrolled over to where the app is, and to my horror, all my apps were gone. I have ios5, but not the most recent update. When I check system storage in settings it shows that there is space being taken up by the apps, but there is nothing showing in the app count that shows up on that screen. I tried doing a hard reboot, I tried downloading a new app to see if it would bring them back and nothing works. I even tried enabling restrictions and disabling restrictions as well and no luck. I think I have a backup from a couple of weeks ago, but if I have to go that route, won't it erase my current text messages and pics? I'm wondering if I create a backup of the phone in its current state if that would reload the apps when I restore from this backup. This is not a jailbroken phone.

To the right of the other apps on the SD card is a grayed out box. I cannot turn the green box into a gray box and I cannot turn the gray box into a green box by tapping on the box.
What does the green box indicate and what does the grayed out box indicate? What changes the box from green to gray and gray to green?
Since I recently upgraded, when I am typing a SMS text, if I hit the Return key to try and get to the next line, the text is being sent instead. Is there a way to turn this off? I want to be able to get to the next line, not send a text, with the return key.

and gone into Options -->advanced system setting --> host routing Table --> enter --> register. I received the email through from blackberry, went back into the browser and I still get the above message.
p.s the problem has occurred since RIM went down last week?
