Anybody out there...When there is not enough memory to open a new app it gives you the opportunity to stop currently running background apps. Is there a way to check and/or stop apps before you run out of memory? Phone: C3

Every day at 9:00 my phone checks for email automatically That is no what I want. I only want it to check for messages when I ask for it. i have a plan with a fixed amount per day, regardless how much I use it. So the automatic check for email says to my provider "you can charge this phone for the day". And that is not what I want if I do not intend to use the phone for the rest of the day.
Where can I set that automatic checking for messages is turned off.
I bought a Nokia C6 recently and I'm facing some problem with video clips I took. The image suddenly freeze and the audio keeps running. I have updated the firmware to the latest and also reset my phone by unplugging battery, but Its still the same. And the worst of it, it becoming more frequent day by day. Now its not just freeze in the middle of the video clip, after I click stop recording it keep on shooting 5 to 10 sec with just blank image.

I don't want to uninstall the apps becuase I do use them sometimes, but I don't want them fill precious memory, that slows down my phone tremendously.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOccasionally when using my device, it will freeze for a brief moment and the running apps window will pop up by itself. It will then start cycling through the running apps list (I use the card view), and it will randomly open one of the applications, and then sometimes repeat this process a couple of times in quick succession before I can regain control of the screen. The whole event will usually last about 3 seconds, but as you can imagine it is becoming quite annoying. I would say that it happens about every 3 days or so.

I understand apps that the mobile needs in its usal process, but other apps, like bible, games by popcap, first-ad, etc... its not always same, but the games by popcap is persistent (this app is a bloatweare, included in the software).Byw, am only on prepaid, so most of the time the "data enabled" is not checked or am not connected to the web.

I am trying to access my applications without any success. I can make and receive calls. But I can not check my email or text messages. I also can not access any of my applications. I recently update my Desktop Software to the 6.0. I was trying to do a security wipe on my handheld, but it will not allow me to go into options. Any alternate security wipe for my device.
View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday while listening to a podcast, I decided to check the weather. I clicked the home button and scrolled over to where the app is, and to my horror, all my apps were gone. I have ios5, but not the most recent update. When I check system storage in settings it shows that there is space being taken up by the apps, but there is nothing showing in the app count that shows up on that screen. I tried doing a hard reboot, I tried downloading a new app to see if it would bring them back and nothing works. I even tried enabling restrictions and disabling restrictions as well and no luck. I think I have a backup from a couple of weeks ago, but if I have to go that route, won't it erase my current text messages and pics? I'm wondering if I create a backup of the phone in its current state if that would reload the apps when I restore from this backup. This is not a jailbroken phone.

To the right of the other apps on the SD card is a grayed out box. I cannot turn the green box into a gray box and I cannot turn the gray box into a green box by tapping on the box.
What does the green box indicate and what does the grayed out box indicate? What changes the box from green to gray and gray to green?

View 2 Replies View RelatedYou know how when you open an application, and just press the hangup / power key, it exits the application from the screen but it still keeps running in the background memory. I have noticed that such applications in the memory can drain the battery real quick. I was wondering if anyway on the phone you can check which applications are currently running in the background memory? If i can find that out, I can just exit all the apps and save my battery life. Let me know if anyone knows a way to do so.

My home button is very tempermental. Took it into the store and they showed me how to turn off apps running in background and that helped for a while. Now I have to touch it upwards of 20 times to get it to work.
