Apr 14, 2010So, the other day my mother accidentally erased all of her events in iCal on her Mac. She still had them all on her iPhone, so she tried to sync it with her Mac to undo the deletions. But it did the opposite; all of her events were lost on her phone. Luckily, I was able to restore her back-up onto her iPhone. So I need to know if there is a way to sync the events (one-way) from the phone onto the Mac.

Dec 29, 2011I was using the google sync application to do this and since it just went end of life then I need something new. I easily added my gmail account and got the contacts and its calendar. However, there is another calendar that is not associated with an email account that is an ICAL calendar that I would to sync. I can not figure out how to configure that sync. I was syncing both calendars iwth the Google Sync before.

May 1, 2012I have an iPhone 4s and a Mac with leopard. I'm trying to sync my calenders. I am able to transfer the info from my iCal to my iPhone, but not the other way around. Is this possible to do without upgrading my Mac software? I read some bad reviews on the upgrade to Snow leopard.

May 3, 2012I use an iPhone 3GS as well as a desktop Mac (10.5.8).Whenever I sync these two devices, I never had a problem.I used a wire to do it and it was fine. Lately, however,I have definitely had problems. I connect the two devices and though it looks like it's going through the whole syncing process, it never syncs the iPhone calendar with iCal.This may not be germain, but lately I have also been getting an error message on my Mac that says Microsoft Office synching is not working. I know that should not concern Apple devised, but it just seems a little too coiincidental to me that right when I have problems syncing Apple products, I get an error message about the syncing of Microsft products.

Things I've entered on the iPhone calendar won't transfer over to ical, but syncing does seem to work the other way. I've tried some of the fixes suggested (deleting the sync file using Terminal, toggling on and off the different calendar options, etc) but nothing seems to fix it.

Oct 11, 2010I am having an issue with my contacts and I believe it started when I upgraded to the official 5.0.0.624 on my Sprint Tour. When I sync the phone with outlook, the only contacts that transfer over are the last few that I added (prob about 10 that I have added since the upgrade). When I try to set up contact shortcuts in Quicklaunch or set up ringers with BeBuzz, only the same 10 or so contacts are recognized. I backed the phone up and was able to pull the contact files out with a program called MagicBerry, so I know they are there but not sure how to fix the issue.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling programs and of course, multiple battery pulls.

Sep 21, 2010We recently did a number of hardware upgrades on our computer and installed Windows 7 and Office 2010 about 3 weeks ago (full versions not upgrades). I have been unable to sync my BB ever since and after reading through the message boards have discovered I am not alone. I downloaded the latest BB update which I understood would make my BB and Office compatible.I don't know if the problems are related to BB and Office not being compatible or if there is another problem with my computer. This is what I have done and am encountering: downloaded BB update version 6.0.0.43; BB would not recognize Outlook when I tried to organize my Contacts and Address Book. I have tried repairing and subsequently uninstalling then reinstalling this update a few times.
- gave up and downloaded CompanionLink; Received error message "Click-to-run Outlook lacks API capability. You must install Outlook on your PC for sync". I sought help from CompanionLink but continue to have no luck. The "Add-Ins" link in my BB Desktop Software was available when I first downloaded CompanionLink but has now disappeared and I don't know how to get it back. I did try repairing the BB update to see if this would resolve it.- in the BB Desktop Software Applications tab, it states BB 5.0.0 System Software version 5.0.0 and Core Application Version 5.0.0. are required but it does not give me the capability to install it. I thought the version 6.0.0.43 update replaced version 5.0.0. I don't know if this is relevant or if it matters.

Feb 24, 2010Ok Ive had my sprint Tour for about 3 weeks now here are some little things that make me wanna take it back and try the Samsung Monent instead. now keep in mind my first bb was the nextel 8350i.
1. media issue. i cannot get my itunes library to sync using the media sync.this was never an issue on my old bb. I've everything no go.
2. i've updated my phone to the no os 5.0.484 and still very buggie.
3. the 3g isn't very fast now it is a major upgrade from my 1/2 g with nextel.
4. It finally seems to me that owning a blackberry is like owning a microsoft pc you always have to updaye just to keep it running right
