So, the other day my mother accidentally erased all of her events in iCal on her Mac. She still had them all on her iPhone, so she tried to sync it with her Mac to undo the deletions. But it did the opposite; all of her events were lost on her phone. Luckily, I was able to restore her back-up onto her iPhone. So I need to know if there is a way to sync the events (one-way) from the phone onto the Mac.

Is this possible to do without upgrading my Mac software? I read some bad reviews on the upgrade to Snow leopard.

I use an iPhone 3GS as well as a desktop Mac (10.5.8).Whenever I sync these two devices, I never had a problem.I used a wire to do it and it was fine. Lately, however,I have definitely had problems. I connect the two devices and though it looks like it's going through the whole syncing process, it never syncs the iPhone calendar with iCal.This may not be germain, but lately I have also been getting an error message on my Mac that says Microsoft Office synching is not working. I know that should not concern Apple devised, but it just seems a little too coiincidental to me that right when I have problems syncing Apple products, I get an error message about the syncing of Microsft products.

I synced my iPhone and it seems that all the calendar entries I had were simply replaced by the iCal entries off my Macbook. This means that I lost all the entries that had been on the phone. Is there any way to get them back?

My iPhone's Agenda and MacBook Pro's iCal simply don't sync anymore. For example, when putting a meeting in iCal, it doesn't come in iPhone's Agenda. Same the other way around. Syncing is done via iTunes when connecting the iPhone (iOS 5.1.1) to the MBP

I am not able to sync the calendar on my iPhone 5s to ical on my mac running OS 10.7.5. Things I've entered on the iPhone calendar won't transfer over to ical, but syncing does seem to work the other way. I've tried some of the fixes suggested (deleting the sync file using Terminal, toggling on and off the different calendar options, etc) but nothing seems to fix it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am looking for an alternative to iCloud so that I can sync my iCal and Address Book Contacts with my iPhone 4.I curently have Snow Leopard and do not plan on upgrading to Lion because of the loss of Expose.Since that means I lose my cloud syncing capabilities,I wondered if anyone can recommend an alternative to iCloud other than hard-syncing my iPhone to my computer on a daily basis.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was using the google sync application to do this and since it just went end of life then I need something new. I easily added my gmail account and got the contacts and its calendar. However, there is another calendar that is not associated with an email account that is an ICAL calendar that I would to sync. I can not figure out how to configure that sync. I was syncing both calendars iwth the Google Sync before.

View 2 Replies View RelatedData from iCal goes from Mac to iPhone but not the other way. This is a new phenomenon as it has always worked in the past, so I am certain that I set it up to merge originally, but I don't know how to check that it hasn't been reset somehow nor how to correct it. I have to start entering stuff manually twice.

There are a million timer aps, and project management apps, and other variations on time logs. But I have been unable to find one that does precisely what I want to do. Start a timer on my iPhone when I begin work on a discrete project. Stop the timer when I stop work.Have an iCal entry created on my iPhone calendar which indicates that block of time. I do NOT need to manage a large number of projects, create complex reports, do billing, or anything like that. I am just looking for a way to be able to open iCal and get a visual assessment of when and how much time I am actually devoting to three-five priority areas.
Here is what I have been able to find and do NOT want:Manually creating iCal entries with start and stop times, that the app can then aggregate and report time spent.A timer that creates a separate log or standalone calendar - completely removed from iCal.
If I start working on a goal area at 3:15pm and stop 90 minutes later, I want to be able to start the timer. Stop the timer. And have an iCal entry that starts at 3:15pm and ends at 4:45pm automatically created in iCal.
