After switching to iCloud the iCal on my iPhone is no longer synched with my MacBook Pro. I've tried delting iCloud on my iPhone and reinstalling it. It is still not synching. What do I need to do to get my iCal on my iPhone to synch with my iCal on my MacBook Pro?
My iPhone 4 syncs to iCloud perfectly however I cannot get my calendar to also sync to the ical on my desktop, the calendar only goes to the ical on iCloud. I would like my events to also appear on my macbook?
My friend and I share an iCal calendar through iCloud.Until recently, we received email notifications anytime either of us made changes to exisiting calendar events or added new items to the calendar. Does anyone know why these email notifications stopped?
Since 1 hrs I revieve emails if my girlfriend changes/deletes something in her calender and vice-versa. We havn't switched this email option on! The only change, which I made, was that my events aren't anymore deleted after 30 days, but that hasn't anything to do with this email option.
I am looking for an alternative to iCloud so that I can sync my iCal and Address Book Contacts with my iPhone 4.I curently have Snow Leopard and do not plan on upgrading to Lion because of the loss of Expose.Since that means I lose my cloud syncing capabilities,I wondered if anyone can recommend an alternative to iCloud other than hard-syncing my iPhone to my computer on a daily basis.
I am on my third iPhone (first one stolen, 2nd one broken, both 3G).When I plugged in the 2nd one, it synced nicely to where the last one left off. Now I have just plugged in my 3rd one (3GS) and it has synced to where the first one left off too!How can I fix this? I want it synced the were the 2nd one was, not the first!
I am tired of my iPhone having multiple "Linked cards" with varying information in them. I have cleaned up my address book on my iMac and would like to start fresh with a download of contacts to the iPhone.
How do I clear out my iPhone contacts so that I can import the cleaned list?
Thanks for any input!
Keri

Bought a Macbook Pro 13. Connect to iTunes but says if I synch music/vids etc will be erased from my iphone since it was attached to another computer (of which crashed on me). I was told I can close itunes and use Finder and under devices the Iphone will be there and I can transfer music and whatever to the library, but it doesn't show up under devices. What gives? why does apple have to make everything so complicated. already regretting getting a macbook, shoulda stayed with windows
After going through apple's incipid re-registration process, here's my question.I've got multiple computers I use (work, home, road).I want to be able to do things like pull off my voice memos,in particular, w/o having to delete my music from MY iPhone.I don't seem to be able to do. All I want is the ability to control MY stuff and all I can see is you're trying to get me to do something that is 1; something I don't want to do 2; deterimental to my experience. Is there a way to just pull off voice memos from my phone w/o having to sync (delete) my music when I'm not on my "home" computer?
I have a year old iPhone4 with contacts that I have never backed up or synched. I know this was risky. My husband just bought me an iPad3 and he attempted to synch my PC, Outlook Express, the iPad3 and the iPhone4. We were trying once and for all to back it all up so the files would be safe and so both the iPad3 and iPhone4 would have the current contacts. I wound up with stupid Outlook contacts (like empty files and spammers) on my iPhone4 and iPad3 but the original contacts on the iPhone4 were gone. I spent hours re-creating the majority of the data on the iPad3 the other night.
Then today he tried to move the iPad3 contacts to the PC by synching. Instead somehow all the good contacts disappeared from the iPad3 and the iPhone4. All I am left with again is stupid incomplete and spam files from my Outlook loaded into the apple devices again -- which I don't want anyway!!
My husband has been synching his iPad2 with his PC and Blackberry, integrating Outlook Express with contacts and calendars with no problem for months now. He is completely befuddled about what he has done with my data twice now. He doesn't know why when he tries to synch my devices in the same manner as he synches his, it messes everything up.
He was using iTunes and thought he was using iCloud yet thinks he also synched to Outlook Express.
I have Numbers on my iPhone.I have placed a couple of Excel files into the File Sharing window for Numbers in iTunes. I sync the iPhone and then I can open up and view the files on the phone. Now, what I can't figure out is how to have Numbers automatically update the files when I've changed them on my MacBook Pro.
I have been trying to synch my Phone 5c with Itunes manually - I have checked Manually Manage Music and checked Synch Selected Songs only, but every time I hit synch, it starts synching my entire library.
Data from iCal goes from Mac to iPhone but not the other way. This is a new phenomenon as it has always worked in the past, so I am certain that I set it up to merge originally, but I don't know how to check that it hasn't been reset somehow nor how to correct it. I have to start entering stuff manually twice.
There are a million timer aps, and project management apps, and other variations on time logs. But I have been unable to find one that does precisely what I want to do. Start a timer on my iPhone when I begin work on a discrete project. Stop the timer when I stop work.Have an iCal entry created on my iPhone calendar which indicates that block of time. I do NOT need to manage a large number of projects, create complex reports, do billing, or anything like that. I am just looking for a way to be able to open iCal and get a visual assessment of when and how much time I am actually devoting to three-five priority areas.
Here is what I have been able to find and do NOT want:Manually creating iCal entries with start and stop times, that the app can then aggregate and report time spent.A timer that creates a separate log or standalone calendar - completely removed from iCal.
If I start working on a goal area at 3:15pm and stop 90 minutes later, I want to be able to start the timer. Stop the timer. And have an iCal entry that starts at 3:15pm and ends at 4:45pm automatically created in iCal.
So, the other day my mother accidentally erased all of her events in iCal on her Mac. She still had them all on her iPhone, so she tried to sync it with her Mac to undo the deletions. But it did the opposite; all of her events were lost on her phone. Luckily, I was able to restore her back-up onto her iPhone. So I need to know if there is a way to sync the events (one-way) from the phone onto the Mac.
I upgraded to 5.01 and some of my iCal events moved up a day. I have them syncing through iCloud, but they are right on my Mac and not on my iPhone 4s. help!
Entries from my iPhone (v. 5.1) are not syncing to my iCal using iTunes. If I then enter the info into iCal I end up with duplicate entries on my phone.
I have a Imac (10.6.8) and a Iphone running ver 5.01. I also have Goofle sync installed. For some reason my iCal has stopped syncing back and forth between the to devices. Contacts seems to work fine, add a contact on either, and it almost immediately shows on the other device?
Is it best to update to the latest version on my Imac to take advantage of syncing through the cloud? If I am correct, with version 10.6.8, I can not sync through my icloud account, correct?
