Jan 25, 2012I want to use my torch as a fax modem so I can send faxes to land lines. Has anyone got idea how to do it?

BB Torch :: 9800 Will Not Pair With Land Rover Discovery?
Feb 8, 2012is there a know issue with the 9800. I just took delivery of a Discover 4 and the 9800 does not see any bluetooth communication form the vehicle. It is fine with an IPhone.

BB Torch :: 9800 - Battery Icon With 2 Red Lines Across It
Dec 30, 2010I had an issue with my Torch 9800 smartphone, my phone booted and show a battery Icon with 2red lines across it. I have tried to wipe the OS with BBSAK 1.8.0, 1.8.2, 1.9.2 , JL_CMDR and Java Loader, none of this work for me, as they all fail to connect to my device. BBSAK could not detect my device. But BB desktop Manager can connect, detect and recongnise my device. When I try to update and reload the OS with DM and BB application loader, I get stuck up with an error message: "Reconnecting to JVM". My Laptop HP Pavilion dm4 Notebook is running 64-bit / Window 7.

May 24, 2011Torch 9800 in March around 3-4 weeks later I started having a number of issues:When my phone is in lock mode I tend to check the screen by pressing the call end button..... sometimes when I do this it leaves one band of a horizontal white line (about 1cm thick) that appears across the screen.At other times when I have done the same thing the message that appears when you check in lock mode is. 'Screen is locked. Press the lock button to unlock' but in stead of saying the itThe final issue I have had is when I am on an app say Facebook, I close the app and it still shows the headings 'Facebook' and 'News Feed' on my home screen page and to get rid of it I have to open the option tray.I have already taken it into my network provider for them to send it away and have it looked into but I have now received it back and the problem still persists

Apr 30, 2011I've seen this before but just got back from a trip to the UK and I noticed battery life was really bad compared to back in the US. Not sure if this is GSM vs CDMA or just I was in a weaker signal area so that the phone was "trying" harder. It's harder to tell because of another issue, the signal indicator!
This time, I made several perfectly fine calls with the indicator showing no bars, only when the phone showed "No Service" did things not work. I probably should have downloaded an app to show the signal strenght, but didn't....

First of all i was sending a message and the screen randomly went black and red lines came across the screen for a few seconds then it went back to my message .. Then I was charging it Good Friday and took it out to make a call and the screen went white as if I was turning the phone on as nokia came across the screen please help why is it doing this?

BB Torch :: Can't Send Location From Bbm
Mar 6, 2011I have a Torch 9800, OS 6.0.0.448, Platform 6.4.0.210, BBM version 5.0.3.22. I can't send my location from bbm.
I have tried the following. Un-install, re-install bbm. I called Rogers tech support and had the service books resent. The best part is they don't do tech support for this issue. I did do testing with my girlfriends phone and a friends phone to see if location sending would work and it does. They have the same bbm version as i do.
I have tried everything that I can think of. What else can be done? I have read that on the tour this was a CDMA issue and has not been resolved by RIM.

Apr 30, 2011I just got my Torch back from being repaired from the track-pad not working.I first cleared anything that might of been on the phone and restored my back-up files to get all my addresses and applications into my phone.I know I have to reopen all the accounts applications I want to work.All my apps I have reinstalled work which I use and are all much needed tools, even up to my documents apps and PDF.I thought my email accounts would of come with the back-up which I reinstalled. I have 2 of each which I need for work, Windows Live, Yahoo and Gmail, but none of them are sending any mail I compose to send and I don't know why, or I may have forgotten not having my phone for so long. or am doing something wrong.

A few minutes after I exit I get 1 email that has a red X beside it. The message says "sent using desktop secure, folder sent items and message status, unlisted message error. The body of the email is the invitation that should have been sent.
