BB Torch :: Can't Send Picture Mail
Sep 13, 2011I just got the Torch 9850 from Sprint and I've been able to send 1 picture mail message out of about 30 attempts. Each time it says "Failed to send message."

Mar 22, 2012I have Sprint and with my old phone I was always able to send picture mail. I've call Sprint support several times and they can't do anything about it. I have my cellular data on as well as voice and data roaming. I've reset and rebooted it several times. What can I do?

2 degrees sent me the instructions below. Seams crazy it says that on most blackberries you wont be able to use data functions or send picture messages - is there any way around this. I can't follow the instructions - must be for a different phone and the first link doesn't even work.For facebook I want it to connect using my home wireless but it just says it can't use my data plan - which I do not have or want to use.

Jan 1, 2011Just faced a problem with my Torch. When I traveled, I can got the new mails but cannot send mails. All the outgoing mails were pending during roaming and released when back to home town.
The Torch is configured with BES for corporate and personal email, both mail accounts faced same situation. Is it the carrier or the BES issue?

Sometimes when I text using MMS/iMessage, it takes a minute or so for the sending bar to make the swoosh noise. Kind of weird it takes that long to send a message, and it's not all the time. I know how to get to my messages with the short cut, but how do I scroll through each one, and when I am in a message is is possible to scroll while in a message? I have two picture mails that need to be viewed and sent to my e-mail. FYI- when I enter the messages using the short-cut "M" it puts me on the date so I cannot move, hitting the enter key defaults me to send an e-mail!!!

Sep 4, 2010I have a jailbroken iPhone 4 and my fiancée just purchased a brand new iPhone 4 last night. We are using itunes 10 on a macbook pro. I have been having issues with voicemails and picture messages not being received so I decided to upgrade to 4.1 and also to upgrade her new phone as well. I currently have 4.0.1 on my phone and when I plugged it into itunes it said there was an update but only to 4.0.2. Confused I upgraded anyways hoping that after I would plug it in and find that it would let me go to 4.1. However itunes is telling me that 4.0.2 is the newest update. I then tried to plug her new phone that already has 4.0.2 on it to see what would happen and again itunes tells me that she has the newest update. I have done everything I can think of to fix this and can't find out why it is doing this.
Things I have done on both phones:
-Deleted itunes and reinstall. I'm new to a macbook so I dragged itunes to the trash and it seemed to get rid of everything.
-Hard reset both iPhones
-Erase all content and settings.Restored from backup which didn't work then restored to new iPhone..I'm not really sure what else to do. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

May 13, 2010Apparently my device is set to automatically send out read mail receipts. Can I change that option to never send them out? On the old thread it sounded like I have no choice, but that was re: a different type of BB. If anyone knows how to even get into my options to look I'd appreciate it. I've read how other people are getting there - going from the main menu to email settings/options/advanced settings, etc, but I can't find all the "options" I need.

Mar 3, 2010I can send MMS fine when it's a picture i take from the camera but if i save a picture from the web, either with opera mini or native web browser and attach it to a MMS, i can't send it. I don't even get an error, the msg just stays open with sending. I try again with a picture i took a few days ago and it goes through, i try a different picture i downloaded from the web and it's a no go.......

Feb 5, 2011After upgrading to OS 6 if I select Send - Messenger Contact the picture is delivered into the bit bucket but not to the selected BBM contact. Conversely if I select Send picture from within a BBM chat it will send successfully. The recipients are on an 8900 Curve with OS 5.A side note is that sending an item no longer requires the recipient to accept the file as with OS 5.

I use Verizon Message+ for texting, and my phone says "failed" every time I try to send a picture message. It's really annoying, and from what I can tell, it's a fairly common problem with LG phones on Verizon.
I've tried resetting the app and changing settings, but nothing seems to work.
