BB Torch :: Music Files And Now Will Music Will Not?
Apr 27, 2012
For the past year and half I have been adding to my music collection on my Torch and have had not problems. I had over 1000 songs split between the device memory and the media card. I would just use Windows Explorer to transfer the music and the Torch would always find and add my songs to the collection.
Yesterday I added a few more songs and updated the Torch operating system to most current. Now no songs display. I have emptied the Music folders on the Torch, reloaded songs with file transfer, and tried both Windows Media Player and ITunes with the media sync software on the Desktop software. No luck. A couple times when music was loaded on the media card I would see the music module on the Torch find a bunch of songs with the song counter incrementing up to 50 very quickly, then just as quickly drop back to zero.
I tried to do a restore of my backup, but all my backups now show as possibly corrupted.
I tried going back to an early version of Torch software, but same result.
Two other symptoms, Every time I connect the Torch to the Desktop I get - There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive DeviceHarddisk6DR58.There is also a file on the primary memory card called Readyboost.sfcache that is 3.7 G and I can't delete it,.
#1-i have ringtones and test music files that appear in my music files and i dont know where they come from. #2-I also have voice files for maps in my music files. ironically though, the voice files are not working with maps....i want to remove them from my playlist but they are not showing up in the ovi suite?
I just bought a Nokia 5530 Xpress Music and tried out syncing my phone's files using Ovi Suite so I can easily retrieve them if ever they get deleted when I update my phone's firmware. When I synced my files, everything else worked fine except for the music files and these are the following problems I encountered: Ovi Suite did not only copy my phone's music files to my pc, it also copied all the music files of my pc to my phone at the same time. This shouldn't happen right? Because I'm only trying to sync my phone's files to my computer, and not transfer files from my computer to my phone so it should only copy all the songs in my 5530 to Ovi Suite.
Every time i format my memory crd, music files frm the card start missing within 9 or 10 days. This problem persist since the tym i bought mine cell phone. I sub mitted mine phone many times in nokia care, but each n every time they said mine mobile hav sm virus which is 'eating' mine files. Thy hard reset n gv mine cell back, but problem not solved. They formated mine cell some 7 or 8 times. Sometime whole gallary disaapear frm the phone.
I put language lessons on the player with files listed as Lesson 01, Lesson 02.....lesson 11, 12, 20 etc and rather than put them in proper order like anything else I have ever used to play them it is putting 1, 10, 11,12,13 etc together then putting 2,20,21,22 etc together.
If I drag and drop music files to the Music folder in the phone storage they show up in the music player app fine.
However, files do not show in the app when I add them to the SD Card.
The SD card has been formatted in the phone. I'm adding files to this folder directory - Card/Android/data/com.google.android.music/files. Is this correct?
I got my 5230 updated to 20.0.005 last time, and actually it's a good update. The perfomance is better than before, but I encountered a problem that really annoying me.I love listening to music. It's everything for me. But now the music player can't detect new music files, even it's imported from a bluetooth connection. After I save it from the inbox, sometimes it said "General : System Error". The files is inside the memory card, but can't be detected by the music player although I refresh the music library. The same thing happened when I import some music files from the computer using Nokia PC Suite. In the library, there is the artist's name or the album's name, but after I clicked it, there isn't any music files inside. What happened actually with the music player?About the memory card, I got it from the phone package. It's 2 GB, and still has approx. 130 MB free. Is it the memory card or the update?
I recently updated my music player software (for the Nokia 5800). However, when I tried clicking on my music player icon/ going to my gallery and selecting the file "songs" I couldn't open either of them. My songs are still on my phone, but I can't access them for some reason, or open them up. Why is this happening and how can I fix this problem?
I have a some music that I downloaded to my Torch 9810 from Amazon that do not have the correct Genre.I was thinking that Vivaldi should be the "Classical" genre, but it says "Classic Rock" instead.
I bought N97 & transferred some music files from PC. Some them are copied to Menu<Music<Music Library. I want to delete these files. Can anybody guide me for this?
Also How the Music files under Application<Mass Memory<E:<Music can be played as playlist?
I had a similar issues on " General: System Error " Music file unable to save on music library the second one is corrupted music file unable to deleted on music library.
I'm using Nokia C2-00. While using Voice Recorder & Radio Recorder.. The files are saved on AAC & AMR formats. Is der any java softwares to Convert those files in MP3 file in my Hand device.?
Why does all the downloaded music go directly to the f: memory card, when downloading music from Ovi Music Store? It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?. The phone automatically makes a folder named "Ovi Music Downloads" in the memory card. It should be created in the mass memory.
I thought it would be a good idea to sync my music via the Blackberry desktop program. however since i have done this my torch does not like it when i want to make a playlist from the music on my media card. I want my device to unsync, which i have tried to do many times via the desktop program and even tried to select "forget this device"
I want my torch to forget my "home" music and not at all have the option to sync music via wifi or anything! I used to be able to easily make playlist from music on my SD media card but now it won't let me...
I have taken a nokia N8 belle version phone 3 months back, last few days I am unable to download music from OVI music, my phone came with 12 months subscription.
i had transferred my music downloaded on my phone to my pc but was unable to play it on the pc then i registered my pc on the ovi player still cant play the files it says that the songs are protected under microsoft VRM & needs small update which i tried to run but it continues to say that cant connect to internet whereas i m connected to the internet.
also the musc i had trasferred on to my pc when i m trying to transfer the files back to my device the pc it does not allow me & says that this content requires licence...
i cant download music from ovi music store whenever i tries. It shows tht redeem ur voucher. This problem only i'm getting since i updated symbian anna and ovi music store turned into nokia music store. How cn i get it back or the voucher number which it shows me during access.
I know this has been posted like a hundred times or more and I've followed all the threads around this but if anyone has a new suggestion that would be REALLY apreciated .Have a C-5 with latest firmware. Has around 365 songs in it now but when i add new ones it doesn't see them.Have tried refresh, trashed the databases etc. Reformated the card and loaded them back bit by bit and that worked and then added 9 new ones - that worked. Played it this morning for a few hours and tried to ad some more. Doesn't see them in the refresh. Card is a Sandisk 4gb - should be good - no bad sectors etc
Does it matter where the music files are kept so that the media player can still find all of it ? Can I use what ever directory in the phone or the memory card ?
I added mp3 files to my mobile nokia n79,but files is not updating in music library, when we refresh manually it nont stops saying "0 file added"...,but when i play songs in filemanager it plays well.
My teenage daughter and I both have a Blackberry Curve 9300 ,she lost hers last week and received a new one via insurance yesterday. Her problem is she can't play any of the music she downloads. She uses a site called MP3 SKULL and had a ton of music on her last phone that played perfectly . She spent ages last night downloading stuff but it only saves 18 secs worth and says it is an unsupported format when she tries to play!
What to do, My X8 can not detect music files in my memory card! Even I Add some files, it will just recognize some of them. I have 120 music files, but my phone has 3 files recognized.
I have a decent quality (Samsung) 64gb Micro SD Card for my G3. Every time I put all of my music onto it then put it in my phone, it wipes all my music files off straight away. I checked if they were hidden by putting my SD Card back into the computer but they are actually getting deleted. I have tried some basic things (formatting the card, power on and off, etc) but I'm not having much luck.
