I have a blackberry torch 9800,I recently did an hard reset/ wipe because it was unresponsive with a spinning clock. Before I could access my instant messages bbm, fb,msn,yahoo etc. now i can't do so and I still have my data plan in place, wifi is connect, and the EDGE is now edge (lower caps )
View 3 RepliesI just got a new blackberry im very new with it, I'm told I'm not allowed to access my instant messenger's unless i get a contract... which i dumb because im prepaid, and last time i checked they sale blackberrys for prepaid so why cant prepaid customers cant get prepaid data plans... anyways... im trying to sign into my instant messenger for yahoo and msn that i downloaded from the blackberry site.... at first it told me when i tried to sign in i needed a activation code, to speak to a representative... so i did and... they told me different stories and a bunch of crap... then concluded that i wasnt able to access messengers unless i had a contract i was able to download and access with pantech duo smart phone and any other phone but black berry this is a big issue my 2nd phone i had to buy because of this issue

I live in the Cayman Islands and my service provider is LIME. I bought this phone from Amazon via the OEM Planet in April.

On a hunch I deleted 2 messages from the conversation and it added 2 messages to the beginning of the conversation so the messages are obviously still stored in the memory of the phone. Back again with more probelms, i seem to have taken a step back by installing Ovi maps and now get the error 2148532241 reported when trying to sync.Using vista home edition and the latest version of PC suite.I had problems with Ovi suite so only installed it for the maps then uninstalled to revert back to the PC suite which previously was working sort of ok.I can still access contacts and meesages no problem but no sync - any ideas?as much as i love the phone E72 it's going back if this is an indication of things to come.

Twice now someone has sent me a picture attached to a text message. When I touch the picture to open it, I csnnot return to Messages. The picture is stuck and if I try to get out of Messages and back in, the picture is the only thing that pops up.

Battery Pull did not fix issue. No BT device. So after a call (incoming or outgoing) has ended, the next time I flip open the phone I see this error message: "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException". I click OK and that's that. The phone does not log the number of the caller or callee and the "messages" and "SMS and MMS" icons do not respond to being clicked on or the enter button and thus keeps me from accessing my messages/texts. I can still text if I go through contacts, and I do still receive them. I only can't access them. Using the desktop manager software I check for updates tho the device is up to date and has been since I received it a few months back.
My E63 has broken, when I try to access messages or my call log I get a system error, I have reset my phone but the problem is still there any ideas what to do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedToday my nokia e63 ran out of battery charge and as I was in town there was no way I could charge it. As I got home put my phone on charge and turned it back on, after a few minutes I decided I would send a text until I realized my phone would not let me do so. I had full signal and have tried to send a text in multiple areas around the house where I have signal. My girlfriend is on the same network as me and is having no problems at all. This all happened after my phone ran out of charge, is this a known issue? Does anybody know what might be going wrong with it?

Whereas in the past (like even early this afternoon) I would be able to see emails or texts - or if no email or texts it would say 'No messages' - I cannot open either emails or text and therefore cannot create, read, or anything else. The scroll button is inop after clicking on email or text and I must it the exit button to regain control of the scroll button.

Once I start typing their name, it should start to automatically come up. When I try to do this on the phone, it won't do it. Do I really have to enter someone's phone number in order to do this? What if I want to add more than one person which is not an easy task either. I found where people are being told to download an app called Handcent SMS which will resolve the multiple people issue but what about accessing my contacts just by starting to type their name in the "To" line?
