May 2, 2012I will be traveling abroad with my new iphone 4S and will need to make calls for reservations during my trip. To prevent abroad fees for voice calls, I am planning on leaving the phone on AIRPLANE MODE 'ON' with WIFI 'ON' (along with CELLULAR DATA 'OFF' just in case) and make my calls with Skype when I find a Wifi. If I understand correctly, it's OK so far...?
However if I received a call, I guess it will go in my voice mail? Will I a receive a Voice Message notification...? and how? Could I listen to the message through wifi or must I turn back the cellular service on (AIRPLANE MODE 'OFF'), which I would not want to do...

May 9, 2012I've recently needed to get back to the beginning of a conversation (to settle an argument) but after pressing the load earlier message tab numerous times the beginning of the conversation isn't there? On a hunch I deleted 2 messages from the conversation and it added 2 messages to the beginning of the conversation so the messages are obviously still stored in the memory of the phone. I've got 2 questions, first, why won't it let me go right back and second is there a way to bring back earlier messages? I'm using an iPhone 4S

Jun 16, 2010Back again with more probelms, i seem to have taken a step back by installing Ovi maps and now get the error 2148532241 reported when trying to sync.Using vista home edition and the latest version of PC suite.I had problems with Ovi suite so only installed it for the maps then uninstalled to revert back to the PC suite which previously was working sort of ok.I can still access contacts and meesages no problem but no sync - any ideas?as much as i love the phone E72 it's going back if this is an indication of things to come.

Battery Pull did not fix issue. No BT device. So after a call (incoming or outgoing) has ended, the next time I flip open the phone I see this error message: "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException". I click OK and that's that. The phone does not log the number of the caller or callee and the "messages" and "SMS and MMS" icons do not respond to being clicked on or the enter button and thus keeps me from accessing my messages/texts. I can still text if I go through contacts, and I do still receive them. I only can't access them. Using the desktop manager software I check for updates tho the device is up to date and has been since I received it a few months back.

Mar 27, 2010Today my nokia e63 ran out of battery charge and as I was in town there was no way I could charge it. As I got home put my phone on charge and turned it back on, after a few minutes I decided I would send a text until I realized my phone would not let me do so. I had full signal and have tried to send a text in multiple areas around the house where I have signal. My girlfriend is on the same network as me and is having no problems at all. This all happened after my phone ran out of charge, is this a known issue? Does anybody know what might be going wrong with it?

Dec 6, 2010When checking the online tutorial via AT&T's website it walks me through how to send a text message to someone in my contacts list from the text messaging screen. Once I start typing their name, it should start to automatically come up. When I try to do this on the phone, it won't do it. Do I really have to enter someone's phone number in order to do this? What if I want to add more than one person which is not an easy task either. I found where people are being told to download an app called Handcent SMS which will resolve the multiple people issue but what about accessing my contacts just by starting to type their name in the "To" line?

Apr 7, 2010Like all users of N97 I have a serious problem with the phone memory (C) being full To correct it, I have been using for quite some time (more than 6 months) the E: memory for messages and emails. However, every now and then, without any reason, I get the message that the phone is unable to use the selected memory (E) and it goes back to C. The problems are multiple:
1. It doesn't let me choose the memory I'd like to use, when this appears, and it does this when a new message comes, which is directly stored in C - no options given.
2. Following this, half the messages are stored in one memory and half in the other and (of course) they cannot be moved from the one to the other.........

Oct 27, 2011I upgraded my N8 to Anna. Could not do the 1/2, everything else worked fine. Finally got the 1/2 to work, ever since had nothing but problems. Whenever I start the phone I get 3 or 4 system error messages. After hitting ok, I can access most of my phone. I cannot access my contacts from the home screen. I can only go into the call screen, which does not allow me to add a new contact or edit. I have tried both the hard and soft reboots and tried to re-install but it has only gotten worse. I kinda need to access my contacts for work.

Aug 14, 2010I use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
