I just received a brand new Torch 9810. I want to use a picture that is on my media card as the wallpaper. I have followed the prompts in the device and come up an error that states: java.lang.NullPointer Exception. The background subsequently turns black. How do I get it to display the picture. I have never had a problem with any other Blackberry device in this regard.
I am trying to create a picture of multiple images so when I switch to one of the other home pages I have a new image as the background picture. Does anybody now what size the individual images have to be? inches..pixels?
when i set the wallpaper, it zooms in and you can barely see any of the picture. Before we upgraded the software, we used 'Wallpaper Set And Save' and that sorted it niceley but now that doesn't seem to work with Android 2.1.
I have a tiny picture 125 x 124 2.32KB that I wanted to use for wallpaper, but when I try to set it as such it becomes so huge and distorted on the screen. So what do I need to do to use it as wallpaper, or is it because it's such a tiny picture to begin with that I will be unable to use it for wallpaper?Ok, I see that I can upload a picture here, so here's the picture I wanted to use for my wallpaper.
I'm need help in changing my avatar on my Blackberry Torch. I can only use the pre set ones. I've downloaded a picture to my phone. It goes in my pictures, under the avatar icon. can click on it but won't save as bbm icon.
should do have a permanent wallpaper on my screen except the one that came with the phone, everytime i set a wallpaper of my choice and after some applications and downloads it reverts back to the wallpaper that came with the handset, i have already tried so many times without real success
I have a Torch 9860 with the following versions:7.0 Bundle 1465 (v22.214.171.1246, Platform 126.96.36.1996)Branding Version:188.8.131.521yEverytime I reboot the phone, whether by battery pull, using reboot apps, or when App World says I need a restart after installing/deleting an app, the wallpaper changes back to the factory default. My personal wallpaper is in an SD card that I used on a Bold 9900. But this wallpaper reset never happened on the Bold.My phone is unlocked.I tried updating the software through OTA or with desktop manager, but I am told there are currently no updates available
I am really starting to get annoyed with this phone!!My wallpaper will not stay onto my home screen after a battery pull or a software reset!!! I don't get it! This is not new in terms of programming! What is the problem?? Is there a fix for this or am I stuck setting my wallpaper everytime i reset my phone?? C'mon RIM! This is a ridiculous problem that should of been fix before bringing the phone out! same thing for the 5 - 10 sec freeze after you enter your security password to unlock the phone! As well as the slow processing of cpu for certain activities! I'm sticking with this phone for now but i do not have a great feeling for this phone seriously!
may i know how to change the lock screen wallpaper without changing the main screen wallpaper?and without using 3rd party app.if must using 3rd party apps to do it, which apps is suitable for changing lock screen wallpaper beside GO locker?
In the last few weeks I've been having issues with MMS - I used to be able to send and recieve MMS fine, and it was instant, but now when I try and send an MMS it fails for no apparent reason. I thought it may have been because of picture size or phone capatbibility, but the sizes are fine and I've sent pictures to these people before so it can't be to do with their mobile. Also when I receive MMS it takes ages to download, and it used to be instant. I've checked all my settings with MMS and encryption and they all seem fine.
Also, recently when I upload photos to facebook they either don't upload or they don't show in my news feed. Is that a mobile thing, or a facebook thing? I've tried asking people at facebook about this and no replies as of yet. Again, checked all my settings, they seem fine.
I can't send or receive picture messages, use email, or login to faceable.
2 degrees sent me the instructions below. Seams crazy it says that on most blackberries you wont be able to use data functions or send picture messages - is there any way around this. I can't follow the instructions - must be for a different phone and the first link doesn't even work. For facebook I want it to connect using my home wireless but it just says it can't use my data plan - which I do not have or want to use.
My bbm picture will not change. When I go to change my picture it will allow me to choose one and save it, yet on my friend's phones my picture has not changed. I have no problem seeing other people pictures or updated pictures.
recently went into the properties on a picture folder and clicked hidden so the pictures were not displayed in the main folder as they were sensitive work pictures. The folder has now disappeared. When I try to create a new folder under the same name it says folder already exists. Where does it exist as I cant find it nor the pictures that are in the file. I dont have a memory card in the phone so I know it must be on the handset but when I search it cannot find
how to find pictures I moved to a folder I named "Mine."I selected to hide it on my phone and POOF gone forever and I can't find it anywhere. Someone else posted something similar, but I think they were looking for just one picture and the steps didn't seem to help.
