i was installed the fancy smiley apps and when iam trying to use that appp while messaging it prompting me ""your current SMS Encoding does not support smileys.please go to options->SMS->datacoding and set it to UCS2"....i followed the same but unable to use the fancy smiley apps.
View 3 RepliesThe last two days I have had a white smiley face appear on my message notifier bar. I cannot click it as it just takes me to my calendar enteries.
I did some digging around and found out that it might be a BlackBerry messenger friend request but when I open messenger there are no updates.
Everytime I try to update my apps on my blackberry it says "an error has occured please try again later" and when I do try again later it says the same thing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a new Torch and I'm trying to delete the applications it came installed with - like Fandango and Bloomberg - and I'm following the directions, which say to hit the blackberry menu then delete, simple right? Except 'delete' isn't an option in the blackberry menu! I've tried it with every app just to see if I couldn't delete certain things, but it's never an option. And every instructional guide I can find lists that as the only way to do it from the handheld. Then I tried from the computer, and the apps I don't want, including some games, aren't even appearing in the list on the computer!

I can move the factory installed icons like the BBapp world icon, but icons for apps I have downloaded cannot be moved. When I select the icon of the 3rd party app i want to move, and press/hold the BB button, no menu with a "move" option appears.

Playing with it, I found that two of the included "smiley" images for SMS text messages are switched - the emoticon view does not match the graphic & "name" of the picture. My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website.
