I was having trouble w/the email address I assigned my blackberry, so I deleted it, and did a battery pull. When it finished the restart, the screen saver came up normally, but the touch screen just quit working. I know there are issues w/Torch TS. Just thought perhaps it malfunctioned because I deleted my email account.
I just received my new Blackberry Torch 9810 and can not loging to my blackberry ID account. That is exactly what it says every time I try "Unable to login to your Blackberry ID account". I have called Rogers 3 times, tried talking to the guys in a Rogers store and have reset my password online twice. On my phone I can not even get into the prompts to change anything in the section for "Blackberry ID".
When I go to App World to install app, when Verify Blackberry ID, it give me 'Unable to login to your Blackberry ID Account'. I had tried to reset my password and it was successful. I can login to my Blackberry ID on my PC browser.
Text message icon went suddenly missing from home screen after setting up mail account. Screen only has messages icon and clicking that takes to email messages.
I have 2 BB Torch 9810, Both have different IDs, but if I try to use the same e-mail, one of my phones will erase the others' e-mails, and vice-versa. How can I get two different BB IDs' for my phones and still use the same e-mails on both? Cause I need to access my e-mails in both phones.
I have a [my original message: Torch 9850/9860] - WRONG, I have a Torch 9810, 7.0 Bundle 1328 (v7.00.254, Platform 5.0.0.451).How can I turn off email reception w/out deleting the stored email account information?
Just recently, my 9810 stopped leaving email on my server. I am using a POP 3 server through AT&T. I use Outlook on my laptop and want all my email aggregated there (I remove from server when I pull it there). I was under the impression that BB always left mail on the server and I cannot find a setting anywhere to make me beleive otherwise. Also, this is not mail that I have deleted on my handheld, it is still in BB inbox - just not popping into my desktop as it should if it were still on the server.
I've got a new Torch 9810 on AT&T. AppWorld and other programs on the phone ask for Blackberry ID Username and Password. I've entered the requested information several times but I keep getting the response "Unable to login to your Blackberry ID account" I'm at a loss as to how to remedy this. I'm on attempt 6 of 10.
opying contacts from a Bold 9810 to another 9810.Using the BB Desktop Software I did a full backup of the device (which contained 400+ contacts), then did a full restore on a new 9810, but only 200 contacts were copied over.Next I tried to do a selective restore, but although the 400+ contacts were in the file, it was grayed out and could not be selected. How can I get all the contacts into the new 9810. (Side note: I was able to restore the 400+ contacts to a BB Bold).
I am trying to change my email settings as i changed my email account. When i go to "Setup", "Email Accounts", then click on "Internet Mail Account", it simply circulates back to "Email Accounts". It keeps doing this repeatedly. I have done a soft and hard reset (by removing battery) and have updated software but nothing seems to help.
My company just changed our Email addresses and I now have both on my iPhone. I know how to removed the old account but how do I ensure all of the old EMail goes with it?
After a short time on an Android device (which I quickly got rid of) I am now back on a BlackBerry. I used to have a Bold, now I have a Torch. Now the problem is the following: on the Bold I had one BES email (I am the IT Manager of my company) and three BIS accounts (private mails).I moved the BES account on the Torch, no problem, but the three BIS accounts do not move for some reason.
I go to Setup=>Email accounts and the device reports correctly that "A new BlackBerry device has been detected. you mustmove email account(s) to resume email delivery to your BlackBerry device. Email delivery to your old device has been stopped."Following the list of three email accounts I want on the Torch.
I click "Move" and for any single email I have a screen that says "Device change successful. Validate your email account"I type email password for each account, click "continue", receive the message "Your password has been successfully validated.", click OK and exit setup and nothing happens.I still have the BES account but there is no trace of the three BIS accounts.I go back to Setup and the procedure starts again from the beginning.I am on Vodafone UK and the three email accounts are on Apple MobileMe (@me.com)
Last night my phone kept rejecting my password which caused a security wipe out on my phone. Surprisingly my 2 email addresses were still on the phone when I tried to set up my email account via the set up option. everytime I entered the passwords to my email accounts I keep getting a message saying "sorry, unable to continue your session it does not give ne the option to delete these accounts and re-enter them and now I am unable to use my email on my phone.
It would seem there is a bug in 6.0 Bundle 2647. I go into setup/email ccounts/internet email. After selecting internet email, it simply returns o the setup dialog. I cannot seem to get to a screen where I can delete my gmail account
I had a message from Blackberry asking me to verify my email 3 days ago while all these problems with Blackberry were happening. When I go into email account I'm asked for my user name and paassword. Blackberry doesn't seem to recognize these any more, so now myemail has completely disappeared from my Blackberry (Torch 8900 with latest 6.00 update on it). I've spent over 2 hours trying all sort of things, including the '3 steps' thingy, but I can't do step 2, and it's still asking me for my username and password which it doesn't like!
It was working fine earlier but all of the sudden my sms's had started to come up in the email account set. How do I remove that, I have not even checked the show text messages icon in the inbox management. I am using bb torch.
An old gmail account shows up on my Torch 9800 in Setup-->Email Accounts as an Enterprise Account. It also appears as an Enterprise Activation icon on my Torch screen. Finally, it appears on Contacts-->Select Contact List. This gmail account was once on my Torch as an Internet Mail Account, but I deleted the account (from gmail and from the Torch). It no longer exists as far as Google is concerned. It never was and never should never have been an Enterprise Account, and I don't know how it became one. How can I completely wipe this gmail account from my Torch?
I used the 'arset' command recommended on this forum 2 weeks ago to delete an old gmail contact list from my Torch 9800. It worked. I had already deleted the gmail account itself from the Blackberry. While I was at it, I used arset to delete a couple of other old contact lists. It all worked beautifully until I realized there were some contacts on one of those old lists that I needed. So this morning I did a restore of my device from prior to using arset. The problem now is that the old email address I had deleted is back on the device home screen but does not appear in the list of email accounts on my device, even though in Setup it shows "Email Accounts (3)", Only two are in the actual list. So how can I delete the account if it doesn't appear in the list of email accounts?
I cannot connect to my email account on my Torch. To do so I need to log in. I keep getting a message that I cannot connect to the server. It is possible that I am using the wrong username or password. Is there anyway I can access this info from my computer?
Blackberry sent a message it could not authenticate account password and e-mail. It is same account, password and e-mail as it has been for last two years. IT guy says change to Iphone or Android - less interface problems.
Have followed directions to a "T" and it still says "invalid e-mail address or password." IT guy confirms both still same and I can still access e-mail by laptop. In putted server host etc'' just as requested. At a loss as to how to set up e-mail FYI - yahoo and Google set up seamlessly just not with outlook. Have not had issue for past two years.
I have recently synchronised my old Blackberry curve with my new Blackberry torch and unfortunately an old defunct email account has been transferred across - there was no way of removing this prior to the transfer.I have created a new email account and receive emails to this address, however, when I try to send an email, I have the option of chosing which account I use to send this from. I can cope with this, but what I cannot do is forward a received email onto someone else as my phone just appears to automatically select the old email address as the default one and I no longer have this email account. I cannot remove this from my phone as when I have tried to "delete an email address" the old address is not shown anywhere no matter where I have looked.
I have set up a new email account on my phone but the old one still appears as an icon etc. I have read forums about deleting the old email by going to:Options ---> Device ---> Advanced System Settings ---> Service bookBut somehow the old email has a padlock icon next to it and cannot be deleted. It says, 'The service record cannot be deleted due to your Firewall settings. Contact your wireless service provider for more information.'Could somebody advise me further because
