this morning i installed the latest desktop software which then installed the the latest os on my torch. it also installed twitter, facebook, myspace Internet, snap, three different im apps, and i don't know what all, without my permission. how do i prevent this?

Although I started out with only sbsettings and BITEsms, my collection of JB apps is growing pretty quickly... If for some reason your phone were to crash, do you keep a list or backup somewhere to remember which apps to re-install? what is the best way to go about doing this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been going around and around with this issue for the last couple days. When I opened citysearch it said there was an update. After updating it all it did was open, nothing else, then it just closed. So I deleted it, thinking I'd reinstall it, but it doesn't show up in appworld when I do a search. So I go to appworld online and send have it send me a link, but no reinstall button. So i delete appworld to see if that will fix it. now when I try to reinstall it I get the message..."sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support blackberry app world" Ok.....so I reinstall the os just for the heck of it. Still same thing. Why is it so difficult to add apps to this phone? I never had this kind of grief with my 9000.

How can I ensure they are deleted permanently? Do I need to sync to Itunes, or will that bring them back again (I have gone through and deleted yet again from my iphone but dont want them to come back) I don't want them to transfer onto my ipad so I haven't linked my ipad and iphone yet.

When I go to settings and applications, I am able to uninstall apps that I previously installed, however I cannot get rid of any apps that came installed on the N1. I don't use facebook but it doesn't bother me as much as the Amazon MP3 store app that runs constantly. I kill it with ATK and it comes back each time the screen locks. How do I delete these "native" apps?

I've turned off auto-update and I'm now receiving "notifications" every 3 - 4 days to update. Anyway to remove these or just kill them completely so they no longer attempt to update themselves?

The first update was ok, but the latest brought back the apps I already unistalled-those apps that were already in my phone when I bought it. I received a BBM invite from some stranger. I can not decline, ignore or delete this unwanted BBM invite on the 9800 Torch. I t highlights the options, but when I select the options, nothing happens and the invite is still there.
