When I go to settings and applications, I am able to uninstall apps that I previously installed, however I cannot get rid of any apps that came installed on the N1. I don't use facebook but it doesn't bother me as much as the Amazon MP3 store app that runs constantly. I kill it with ATK and it comes back each time the screen locks. How do I delete these "native" apps?
I own a C6-00 & I wish to remove some unwanted apps like Bloomberg,CNN from my phone. I had tried removing it from the application manager but it says "Removing Cancelled" How can i remove it..!!!
After updating software to version 031.023, I now have the following apps on my E72 that are no longer required:
Psiloc World Traveller Adv. Comm. Manager Smart Connect Vlingo PTT
I do not require these but I do not have the option to delete them - all I can do for now is move them to a new folder which I have called 'Unused apps'. Can anyone shed any light on how I can remove these apps and therefore free up more memory.

how do u get rid of those unwanted app icons to download different apps, like skype, bing, Internet, slacker radio etc? they are not in my application list because they are not actually installed, but i dont like having that many icons on my screen since i dont use half of them. i have been moving them to an "unused" folder but i'd prefer them to be gone.any way to do this?
I thought I had uninstalled all my unwanted apps (twitter, myspace and flickr) a couple of months ago but I just clicked 'show all' and they all appeared. I looked online before posting and saw many people being able to solve this through going into settings>advanced options>applications and then finding and deleting the app however these ones don't appear on the list - how do i delete them? When ever i click on them i just get 'hide/show' options.
this morning i installed the latest desktop software which then installed the the latest os on my torch. it also installed twitter, facebook, myspace Internet, snap, three different im apps, and i don't know what all, without my permission. how do i prevent this?
As the subject indicates I am looking to delete some of the pre-installed applications on my Z3. I have had the phone for a while however, the frequency of the updates, the way in which Sony has pre-determined which apps I want to use is now very irritating.
I have my own apps installed, ones I trust and know and would like to remove, permanently, those I deem unrequired. Is there a way of deleting these applications, which currently are locked or am I forced into rooting the phone first, thereby probably invalidating the warranty.
I want to remove phone bloat: sprint wallet, sprint zone, playbooks, sprintID, google+ etc. Seems there is a multitude of pre-loaded apps which when I extend-press to access the option window the only options are Add to Home or Add to Group, Share & Uninstall are not available. I've turned off auto-update and I'm now receiving "notifications" every 3 - 4 days to update. Anyway to remove these or just kill them completely so they no longer attempt to update themselves?
I wanna know what do i do to close open apps such as chat,watsapp..bucz i thought not being them means thewre closed. I updated my phone with the new android jelly bean and it is running very smooth, but it installed more than 10 apps in Japanese or Chinese which are useless for those who don't know the language.
I already updated my phone twice, from 1.6 to 2.1 and to the latest one, which i forgot what version (the one with officesuitde).. The first update was ok, but the latest brought back the apps I already unistalled-those apps that were already in my phone when I bought it. I got rid of them because they're TRIAL versions only and theyre just eating up the LITTLE SPACE (128mb) of my internal memory. So this is what happens, every time my phone turns off due to empty bat, or when I turn it off manually, then turn it on again, those APPS were once again installed in my phone! So I will have to uninstall it (again!) to free some of my internal memory. But, expect that it will happen again the next time How could I stop this from happening again? I'm sick and tired of doing the same thing over and over.. And I find it necessary to really drain my bat to 0% so I can maximizae my battery's life span, but when i turn on my phone?
I just upgraded my X10 with Gingerbread. But now at the bottem next to my app menu button there are four shortcut buttons: media, messaging, contacts and phone. Now I dont mind the media button, but I use third party applications for my dialer, messages and phonebook. How can I remove these buttons or replace them with the applications I use?
Ok, here is the situation: I updated the software on my iPhone 5 a couple of days ago. After it updated, I noticed that there was a new app on my phone (some game called Cookies and I may have had on my phone in the past), but I couldn't open it because it was darkened, like apps are while they are waiting to be downloaded, except it wasn't downloading. I held down on the app to make it jiggle and the cross sign came up to delete it, so I pressed it and clicked delete but it didn't delete, it just stayed there. I decided to ignore it and just put it in my games folder. Â
Just this morning, I updated another game on my phone called Candy Crush, and this game is kept in the same games folder as the one I put Cookies in. I understand that if you are updating an app that is kept in a folder, the loading circle is displayed on the folder, this was going as normal, until I noticed that Candy Crush had already updated, but the loading circle was still being displayed on the folder, it was frozen at the half way point and has not moved since.Â
So, what I need to know is:
Why hasn't cookies downloaded, and how can I delete it?
How can I get rid of the loading circle displayed on my games folder?Â
I have written these two questions together because I'm wondering if they could be connected?
My X6 started playing an audio alert every now and then. When this happens, the screen stays dark and there is no notifications. I found that when I hold the red button the phone asks if it can close the data packet connection. After a while it connects again automatically. There is no open applications. I have changed the internet connection so that it asks for user confirmation and if I cancel it, it just pops up again after a while. How can I determine which process or application is trying to access the internet?
I have a blue speech bubble with the Blackberry icon within, and the number 1 next to it. I have checked all my folders and don't have any unread files. I don't use voicemail and have tried rebooting all to no avail. Can some please tell me how to get rid of it?
I downloaded a couple of apps, deleted a few afterwards, now i get an ad pop up after i hang up from calls. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Do I need to delete all the new apps in order to get rid of this annoying pop up ad? (pop up ad: the screen goes white and the ad is very little in the upper left hand corner.)
